Welcome to Brandon Builds! I create videos of various how to’s, motorcycles & different builds, some construction trade work, as well as things I do on my 8 acre wooded property.
You’ll also see my set ups, storage, tools & equipment. As well as things I’m doing & working on. Soon they'll be sand blasting and powder coating as well.
Hope you all enjoy it and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE because there’s LOTS more to come!
Thank you. I was just matching how it came from the manufacture, but if that is Code I guess I should’ve known better. My father owns a 100+ truck electric plumbing and HVAC company. I was in the field as an electrician from age 15 till around 22 or 23, but I’ve been in the office for close to 20 years now. I could’ve sworn we used to run 6/2 Romex with a 50 amp breaker for smaller more standard 5 or 7.5 hp compressors.
When I started, we were we were going off NEC 93 though, 99 came in effect a couple years before I was went of the field. Not sure if it was always red and black or if it changed. I’ll have to ask around. Maybe I just remember wrong. Thanks for pointing it out though.
Yes, Schumacher Farm & Ranch battery chargers should have a boost mode that automatically activates when a battery needs more current than usual. If the charger doesn't automatically switch to boost mode, you can manually activate it by pressing the Rate Selection button until the boost LED lights up
As far as the boost mode goes… you’re exactly right, it’s a boost of amperage. The boost mode kicks in when a battery needs more current than normal. I believe this one is a 40 amp boost. The extra amperage helps to quickly recharge deeply discharged batteries, but you don’t want to use it all the time. A lower amperage with a slower charge is always best for the batteries, long-term performance and life expectancy
Yes two sets of holes both at the top and bottom where I put the zip ties. The wood that was used was called wood lath. It’s about 8 foot long and I believe around 1 inch thick by around 3 inches wide (or close to those measurements). I cut each piece of wood at half to get 48 inches. If you can’t find it, I’m sure someone at Lowe’s or Home Depot or where you’re at can direct you
This is just how the scrap yards work and pay locally. Some areas and yards will definitely be different. I’m interested in hearing what you’re referring to though?
Haha, I didn’t even have 220 V in the garage when I shot the video. I actually had to install a 100 amp sub panel first, in order to even have the ability to wire it. The air compressor wiring video along with the start up will be coming soon. Thanks though, I appreciate it.
It’s been along time since I’ve seen them anywhere. A friend of mine found some a temporary fireworkfireworks stand around 4th of July. So he got a few and gave me one. I’m keeping my eyes out for them though
The most common reason for them to leak would be a bad cracked or worn out rubber seal that goes goes in the bolt between the plastic skimmer wall and the bonding plate
Unless it’s your skimmer boxes of leaking from a bad seal to the pool, or even a crack in the plastic, in which case wouldn’t have anything to do with the bonding plate.
Holding up great! It’s before the regulator, so it’s been under full pressure since I made the video. I’m not sure what the compressor is set too, but it’s definitely over 150 psi, probably closer to 170. Not a single air leak at all
Just wanted to tell u 4 months ago we bought this same roller and we love it.What a difference from that garbage wacker roller we had.Hamm really makes a great product. Thanks for making this video
Yeah, I agree! It’s definitely a nice machine. I actually had a local rental place that we use say that they share the video with renters who haven’t used one of these machines or aren’t familiar with this particular one.
Battery Tender Connector Ring Terminal Harness Accessory Cable amzn.to/3zb5enk The one above is made by the same company that makes this charger, but this one below is an aftermarket brand where you can get two of them for less than the price of one made by “Deltran” the company who owns and makes the “battery tender” series of chargers amzn.to/3XD7Bsk Mandated Amazon disclosure: Im an Amazon affiliate and do get a very small percent commission of any sales made through the Amazon links
Nothing was painted, it was all powder coated. Powder Coating holds up so much better than paint, but as far as cost, I can’t remember exactly, but I’m in the process of getting into Powder Coating, and can tell you roughly what individual parts usually cost the powder coat below
I can’t remember exactly what I spent. I built the bike in 2018, but here is a website that shows some pricing ideas. I’m not sure how current it is, but looking back I probably spent around 1000 bucks give or take blocking everything out. Pricing people give you is generally always with the parts removed from the bike. www.eastcoastpowdercoating.com/motorcycle-pricing.html
Believe it or not, but yes it definitely will work on a bigger deep cell 12v marine battery. It may take a much longer time because it’s charging at a much lower amp draw compared to the tenders for the bigger batteries, but I actually prefer it that way. That’s because the lower amperage slower charge is actually better for the battery health in the long run, which will extend the life and the quality of the battery
My F250 truck battery was almost dead. I recharged it with the battery tender Junior successfully and haven’t had any issues since. It did take five or six days to do it though, but once the batteries fully charged, that battery tender Junior maintains and keeps the car and truck batteries charged pretty easily in similar amounts of time as my bike as long as I use it regularly
You can Google it to double check, because I wasn’t certain on the marine batteries at first, but everything says it’s good for marine batteries. I’ve always heard that to be true, but I still wanted to double check before responding. www.google.com/search?q=Will+a+battery+tender+Junior+work+on+a+marine+battery&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
Sometimes people maybe take a 2 x 4 to go across the wheel and tire and then kind of smack the 2 x 4 with a hammer or something, that way it’s a more distributed hit, but tapping it with a hammer or trying to pry or pull it off should work
Yes. Same as the electric going into the main house. It’s fed from a 100 amp two pole breaker in my main 200 amp panel feeding the power to my house. I run lots of 40 to 60 amp 220 equipment including a huge air compressor, welder, plasma cutter, powder coat oven, two post lift… etc.
I also did 8 individual dedicated 120 V 20 amp GFCI protected double duplex outlets drops down from the ceiling in a 1900 boxes. So everywhere in the shop can pull the full amount of power at the same time
That is a classic example of a more typical 60s custom pan, I love that it still has the shifter on the tank instead of the hipster approved jockey shift. Cool ride 😎
Thank you do very much!! My scrap metal collection of four years was just dropped off after I attempted to sort it, and found on the receipt the yellow brass was worth $2.20 a pound, so I got $50.60 for that! Super happy! Glad I found your video so now I will make better organised ‘bins’ to place in metal I find in my house and look for yellow vs red brass. All the copper I had only amounted to $6.60, for 3.30 pounds which was disappointing! Now I know brass has more value! I'll be keeping all that from now on as I renovated my house.
Yeah, with scrapping their tends to be a lot of figuring it out as you go. And different locations can sometimes be different. I’m happy to help! Scrap metal can be very confusing. And brass is definitely nice because it has so much weight to it compared to how much a little weight the copper has Thanks again for watching and commenting, good luck with it
WoW! ..now that's an engineer's mind brought to life through your educated knowledge, physical smoothness "of hard to use tools"and oh so sexy doing so! You are blessed by the best, indeed 🫶 This video was really truly incredible ❤
It only flashes red when it’s not connected to a battery or it’s connected to a battery that doesn’t have enough of a charge for it to connect or if it’s hooked up incorrectly or terminals, aren’t making a good enough connection.
It might be a defective battery or some kind of product failure, but it should be under warranty if it’s that new. You could always disconnect the battery from everything so it’s just the battery and the battery tender to make sure nothing else is interfering with it, or try your battery tender on another battery that you know is good to make sure there’s not an issue with the battery tender itself.
There are other types of chargers that restore batteries. I also have this one that can bring a bad battery back to health and some occasions, but you could also take it to a battery store. They can sometimes do that as well if it got drained for some reason. Just keep in mind if the battery is not defective and it got drained for some reason you could have something messed up with the Electrical on the vehicle or machine the batteries in causing it to draw and go dead while the vehicle is off. We bought the same coop but we have a part we can not find how to put it on it’s the last page of the coop a metal bar looks weird it’s bent and then straight we can not put it on does not make sense to put it on the roof
Sorry, I must’ve missed this comment. We had a couple issues like that, but we’ve had the coop up for almost 4 years now I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I I don’t think we even use that piece. You could always contact the manufacturer, but hopefully you got it figured out
