Welcome to "Down the Wrabbit Hole", a place where you can come learn about traveling, DIY escape room games and puzzles, and other avenues of my life! My name is Marti, and I recently shifted this channel from focusing on travel and exploration to more all-encompassing aspects of my life. Since the pandemic and the consequent downfall of most airlines, I haven't traveled much... but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!
Starting in 2023, I hope to post more regularly without the constriction of keeping videos all travel-related. I'd love to share my other hobbies, talents, and interests with you - including lots more escape room games and ideas. I also make wine, do crafts, love interior decorating and cleaning, am an obsessive organizer, and am trying to get healthier - all things I can share here.

A good safer alternative to try skydiving rather than jumping on the plane. Nice to know that no accessories allowed and the hair also need to be secured. Cool experience, I like to try too.
I have seen one of these places off of the highway in Arizona not too far from my house. I always wanted to give it a try. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It looks like so much fun. You guys are very brave. Have a nice week.
10:17 - This picture is a perfect summary of what your kid will be exposed to in Las Vegas. Can't imagine a worst place for them (I'm currently in Las Vegas with kids - shame on me)
There’s definitely adult themes in Vegas that can’t be avoided. Skimpy clothes, homelessness, gambling, people walking around with alcohol, it’s all there. We talked to our kids before going about some of the things they might see. It’s definitely not for every family!
Haha, nope. Did you feel like Wendy in Peter Pan? How's the smoke up there. Sad about Banff. California's biggest fire is 3 hours north of me but thankfully all the smoke has been staying north😊
That's awesome! I don't think I can ever get up there in the clouds and do some real life skydiving lol.. I've always wanted to try this.. saw some friends do it and they told me it was fun! Looks like you all had a blast! 🙂
My son desperately wants to be an astronaut. He knows more about space than anyone I know, except my brother-in-law who is a legit space engineer who launches satellites. So Parker LOVED this! ;)

Thank you for a great video. I walked those stairs in 1999. While at the top, I wore my Santa hat. 🎅 The picture became that year's Christmas photo greeting card. Awesome views! I remembered 287 all the years/decades, since. Did you experience a lot of pigeon mess and feathers? There was no room for me to wear my backpack on my back. I had to take it off and hold it in front of me going up the top section of stairs.
I don’t remember pigeon messes while we were there; it was quite clean. But it was tight, I do remember that. I have memories of feeling a bit claustrophobic! What a great Christmas photo idea! Sounds like a lot of fun! Thank you for commenting!
I remember going to Flamingo when we were in Vegas. First time I heard about real life flamingoes when someone told me hehe and plenty of other wildlife which was cool! Lots of other cool birds.. Glad to see they're still thriving!
Didn't know that about flamingos , never been to the flamingo, have stayed at the Mirage, heard they are tearing it down? Currently 113 f there, no thanks, we have had 15 days above 100 🥵🥵
It freaks me out. You pay a bunch of money to go look at something on your bucket list… and then you die. I’m just begging people to be smart and be careful!

Thanks for sharing. Returning Support with Full view and Like.. I've been to the Grand Canyon a couple of times, did a little short hiking.. Hope you can get over your fears, you miss so much lol.. Hoover dam was so cool when me and my daughter was there, just only got to spend a short amount of time..
I believe we got back for a late dinner, around 6 pm. It was about a 12-hour trip in total. There was a bit of a drive out to the Grand Canyon itself, but we stopped for snacks and a restroom break both there and back, and Ken told us some awesome stories and facts as we went so I was never bored. I don’t remember the driving times exactly, but they made sure we stopped and got snacks and had a stretch both ways.
