Whats bizarre here is that Mutegen Man is now getting his accessories which were excluded from the 2022 4 pack but he's now missing his nail paint and purple foot paint. I sure hope this is not the case with the final product. I also hope Rat Kings eyes get fixed although the Splinter reissue had pupils so who knows. Slash I haven't compared to the 2021 box set so I'm not sure the differences but it was already noted that the teal was slightly off and it appears the same here. With these 4 and the last wave of 4 unique turtles I believe they are finally wrapping up the reissues. I think we may get a few more mutators but 2024 looks like the end especially with the release of the Technodrome. Although I think a Pizza Tosser is coming to end the vehicles.
Seems like they are just having a rough time getting Mutagen Man done correctly. And the eyes on Rat King will be what stops me from getting him. I never had him as a kid but wanted him, but not with these new eyes lol. Slash’s color does seem off, but like I mentioned in the video, I don’t have ease of access to my original one to really find out soon. And I could see them slowing down or stopping after this run too bc the 40th anniversary will be over and they’ve cover most of the main ones people remember from growing up. And the Technodrome would be a great way to go out, but I do love the pizza tossed too so I’m torn lol
Evidently I just didn’t try hard enough at the Targets I went too lol. I just looked on the shelf when I should have been much more vigilant! Glad you were able to get them though!
I always wanted one of those movie star foot soldiers. Glad he’s getting a re-release. Also I got the sketch turtles last week from my target (had to ask an employee who looked them up and got them from the back for me), and I love them. I think playmates did a great job with them and brought their A-game this time.
I'm glad you'll be able to pick up the foot soldier and for a good price now too! It was one of the reissues that actually seemed to have the paint job spot on for it. And that's awesome man! I should have asked an employee too because they probably were in the back like at your store. Glad to know Playmates has taken the 40th anniversay figures seriously!
@@Ogles I recommend getting a picture of the bar code and then asking an employee to scan it and to see if they have any in stock, that’s how I got it!
If anyone comes across this video and is wondering - this still works as of patch 1.10. I died a couple of times trying it but much like the video if you can get the bird onto the rock there on that side itll work. If the bird comes in from the open side you'll probably die.
@supermarioplushboi85 I’m hoping to find the sketch turtles in store soon too! If not, I’ll wait til they appear on the Target website and get them that way. And the reissues paint is so hit and miss that prob won’t get them except for the technodrome, that’s just too cool not to pick up lol.
Know what ya mean, lol, they are putting a hefty price on the technodrome, but prob my only way to ever get it bc I know I’ll never be able to afford an original one!
This boss is gay as shit the devs have no idea how to make a boss derr make him have a sheild and give him adds and a stone gigant that cant be hurt perfect boss no dipshit ur boss sucks
Thank you! Even now, in prep for the DLC, this worked like a charm. Despite having 51 poise and an awesome shield I could never guard counter this bastard. He deserved all the poison rot. LOL. *Just a note: I wasted a lot of cerulean flasks because I thought I had to keep spamming poison mist. You do NOT. Just cast it once. The mist will eventually start proccing (14 per tick) all the way up to 1260. [I was only using a clawmark seal +2 and have a faith of 27]. Once the tick is finished, cast spell again. Will save a lot of flasks! I had 3 flasks +6 but ended up getting to backstab him for the last 5%. Truly satisfying.
I also thought of this strategy excet the spider killing part. Btw if u hit him while he trys to teleport then u can easily kill him cause he will still be in phase Q
Bruh I got him really low and wanted to deal the final crit blow. So I went in for the strike and it wast not a crit animation. Just a normal strike. This monster instantly turned back and knocked me and before I can stand up wen in with a pierce and killed me, 100%(30 vigor) hp in just two simple strikes deat in less than a second.
After 7 hours, 50 Specters, and a lot of profanity, i still can't beat thus guy. Tried Black Steel Cutter +10, Acidic Spear +10, Bone Cutting Saw +7, etc. Nothing seems to work
If he follows you up to the stargazer, just do a loop down the stairs back, and come up again while sprinting. You can enable the stargazer before he is back in the area and disables it.
super tough game isn't it!!! I do love it though, and the music has been embedded in my brain since I bought it back in the day haha. I originally purchased it on a holiday in France and it took over my trip :0). Have a super weekend. p.s. Finn & I are watching Garfield in the morning! woo hoo.
Lol, the music is very catchy and can see how it’s maintained its stay with you for all these years, especially if it dominated the vacation 😂 And it is indeed very difficult but also has such a charm. I hope you and Finn enjoy the film man! Let me know what you think!
I almost recommended this one last week! I had a lot of fun with it as a kid. Definitely difficult. Having played a ton of Galaxian, I loved how the backgrounds actually changed through the stages (unlike the older arcade games). It really drew me in and made me feel like this was more of an adventure.
Well I'm glad it got covered since you were thinking about it! And it really is pretty darn tough, especially the later few levels! Thanks for watching!
I remember playing this when I was a young kid 20 years ago. I only ever beat the first stage but I remember having a lot of fun! I still have the game so I might check it out again on my analogue pocket. Just found your channel last week, I love these kind of authentic feeling reviews!
Thanks for checking the channel out man and I'm glad you're enjoying the weekly GB reviews! And it is a very tough game to get very far in for sure, but like you said, it's a great deal of fun as you're trying to get there! Def give it another try on the analogue pocket!
I tried several times and it didn't work. I thought maybe they had already fixed it. But today I read that it still works and it worked the first time. Thanks.
You are the worst type of guide creator. Instead of creating a strat that anyone can follow no matter their progression in the game, you make one specific to certain items... you suck.
Been looking forward to this review! That game over music is awesome, my favorite is the Stage 1 & 2 music though. I love the high energy they have! Definitely agree it's a HARD game, I've only ever gotten to the 3rd level boss, and haven't gotten past that. I played the crap out of stages 1 and 2 as a kid, to the point that I was able to get through both of those killing every single enemy, and not losing any lives, but stage 3 is where I started to struggle. I played this on my Gameboy Color, so I tend to prefer the default GPC color palette, which kinda inverts the colors from the Gameboy. Space is black with white stars, instead of vice versa, and your ship is an orange/peach color.
Thanks for suggesting it! The music really was top tier in the game! It’s something that’s so prevalent in these old retro games that is often lost in newer games. And the game really does amp up the difficulty after a few stages lol, nearly unfairly in my opinion. And I bet the color palette did look better on the GBC with the inverted colors. I’ve debated on whether to cover these original GB games in the black and white format or their limited colorized format. I went with the B/W but I still toss it back and forth in my mind lol. Thanks again for the suggestion!
