Nice to meet you! I suppose we should start with the basics: I am a 27-year-old interior designer from San Diego, California. This channel documents my life and the many creative outlets I enjoy. While interior design is my single greatest passion, I also thoroughly enjoy fashion, art, baking, exercising, sewing, reading, knitting... oh my gosh, the list goes on. Why limit yourself to one thing? I definitely can't.
If anything, I'd love for my channel to inspire you to see where your creativity and passions can lead. I'm so happy to have you here! Don't hesitate to reach out on any of my platforms. And if you are interested in sending me anything, I'd love to hear about it through email.
Hello Ms. Mimi Estelle, I've watched your video and it's relevant to my carrier which is on Interior designing....Can I have your email please to know about the deep about you and interior designing?
Hi first of all I hope this comment finds you well! Secondly, I am an architectural major and I just have a quick question that I know you can answer easily. I feel kind of embarrassed because I should know so the answer of how to solve this but I just wanted to ask it anyways. I am working on a project and I am doing the board presentation panel. My question is how can I make sure my file size does not exceed the size and meet the size requirement. I am talking about like the weight of the file the competition that I am doing has a file size specific and I want to know how to make sure the file weight size is correct? I am not sure if I made sense with the question. If I did, can you give me any ideas?
I would have put acoustical privacy for the office. It helps when working from home and for zoom meetings. And I would have the dining room closer to the kitchen and put the living room up front.
Hello sir. I'm an architecture graduate and I want to work with you. Can you please let me know if there are any openings for someone with drafting, photo editing and model making skills? I'm a pretty decent writer as well. I love analyzing buildings and interiors! I'd love to work with your team! Hope this message reaches you!
This explains why I’ve never had any success in the past with this. every plan I’ve made was either trashed or forgotten cuz I didn’t know at the time how to scale or do all this but now that ik all of this I’m confident that I could very well do a better job
hey, love your video life of an interior designer. By any chance you may know how to do a portfolio for beginners. i am stuck on that. which i do not know where to start.
That’s awesome you’re doing this. What you’re doing is a great idea. What design program do you use ? I a drafting degree and a Kitchen and bath designer for many years. I was injured during a spinal surgery in that damaged my nerves severely i lost the use of my legs and have bilateral foot drop and neuropathy . I had a design built business here in Hawaii that I had to give up. I’ve miss it so much it was not a job to me it was my life I loved everything about it. I’m staring to regain the use of my hand and can get around on crutches now I’m getting stronger everyday. Im ready to get back to work . I’ve went though all my savings and 4 months behind on my rent. I need to work remotely and skilled in 3 D modeling programs like 20/20 and Rivit . If you would share your experiences and tell me what I need to do to do this would be such a blessing. My name is Terrie and if you could text me at (808) 320-0383 i would love to get to know a fellow human that shares the same passion for what you do . We can bounce idea if open to that
i love that you showed the thought process and floor plans and stuff <333 that was what i was looking for when i searched up interior design day in the life <3
This is great! Thank you so much for your help! Would love to see ALL the steps from the beginning to the completion of the project. You are such a good teacher!
The start was so creative and fluffy, and then you went straight into just drawing out furniture placements which changed the vibe of the process. And, the feng Shui stuff is missing!
I'm a little confused on the topic of "adjacency." Does adjacency mean simply next to each other without direct access between the rooms? Like in your diagram, you have the kitchen and powder room adjacent. Is there no direct access between those rooms? Meaning a door separates them?
1) Why is the Living Room isolated in between THREE FOOD AREAS ( Kitchen, Breakfast & Dining Room ) ? It should be located out of the "eating areas" closer to the main entrance. 2) Master Bedroom layout does not allow viewing of the TV from the bed. Also very tight for people to squeeze by the corner of the Closet and bed. 4) Toilet in Powder Room is clearly visible from the Dining Room table. This is not ideal. 5) The shower in the Main Bathroom should be on the opposite ( interior ) wall which would allow more clear space for windows on the exterior wall. Ditto for the Ensuite bathroom. 6) WHERE is the Garage / Carport ? 7) WHERE is the Mechanical Room ( for furnace and hot water tank ) ? 8) Bedroom 2 could be made much larger by eliminating the length of the corridor and relocating the door. 9) Door to Laundry / Storage Room should be located much closer to the Kitchen so the travel distance is shorter.
This is laying out a floor plan like a grade schooler. Cram everything into a box and then make them run through a long hallway to get to some rooms like a lab rat.
