My best swing tip ever is to pull your trail side scapula towards your spine for your backswing; and then pull your lead scapula back towards your spine for your downswing. That’s it that’s the golf swing. Cheers.😊🥂👍
The easier and better way for average golfers to get a 3/5 wood in the air is to change their shaft. These days shafts are more like the Pros use (stiff and mid kick point) and they do not have enough 'whip' and a low kick point needed by the average golfer. If you are average and 'normal' swing speed then change the shaft - that will make an immediate difference. IMO forget trying to hit it with a perfect swing - just make it easier by changing the shaft. Also, the ball can make a difference too, because most good balls these days are designed for high speed swings - switch to a softer ball and that will help too.
Accidentally stumbled onto your channel and was going to switch off! I was a fan of your stuff but stopped watching when you became a bit like Rick Shiels who again I originally liked until his content merely became clickbait and lacked integrity. Anyway liked the video and found it helpful but I do find I’m prone to the occasional top.
Most golfers should ditch their 3 woods as we don't generate enough club head speed to hit them effectively. I ditched mine and go 5 wood hybrid. I hit my 5 wood farther than my 3 anyway.
I wonder if I need a shaft change. I can hammer my 19° 5w about 235. It has a Tensei AV Blue shaft. My 15° 3w maybe gets to 245 but the strikes are inconsistent and so is the ball flight. It has a Fujikura Ventus shaft.
Great tip, don't think you can go wrong with this, the tempo he had in doing the drill was syrupy smooth. On a different tangent, does any one else think his left hand grip is quite strong, he has, I think a body release, rather than a handsy flippy release. Maybe I need to try this? Hmmm.
I am an absolute beginner and honestly no one ever explained the wrist hinge to me - I couldn’t figure out how to keep my left arm straight when swinging…this has been a massive help!
I’d have to agree honestly… callaway makes the best drivers. For instance look the mavrik… clubs been out for over 2/3 years now and you STILL find them right next to the best at any store. 250$ and you have a really nice driver
After years of ups and downs in getting down to 5 hcp realised everyone lower than me at my club learnt as weak kids, unfortunately most golfers learn as strong men! they start the swing with their arms focussing on hitting at the ball out of aggression or anxiety, then atempt some sort of turn You have to feel the arms/butt of club move last as your right side spirals up and then move left away from arms as left side spirals up you have to move away from the club both ways, but have the confidence the club will catch up at impact! Easy to say hard to do But Nobody ever practices Golf related coordination skills to give them confidence to achieve this Every Good Golfer that Ever Lived can Bounce a Ball on a Wedge! it took me 6 weeks!
This best be good I was just on the way out to practice another swing tip lol 😂 all these swing tips Other one from some Southern hem dude saying low hands and training drill obstacle in the way so you got up go under low . I knew it was keep low from sweet previous strikes of the ball . It’s not really talked about that swing top that much Great video Pete it’s actually another piece of the puzzle 🧩 and them hands were low on the correct side of that line . Both videos complemented each other . Will bring this to my practice all good nice one 😊
Hi Pete. On your swing quest channel. Could you make a video on how to get the hands higher on backswing. I struggle with a shallow back swing. This hasn’t been an issue, but I hit one shank and my heads gone since. I’m now hitting more and more shanks and it’s breaking me. I know I’m in to out, could you please help. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Thanks Congrats on your win, gutted with the last hole. Keep up the great content
When did you go away from the JumboMax grips? Curious as to why. I am considering larger grips and was just hoping for pros/cons after you used them for a while.
I don’t mind hitting my long irons, but I need to hit from 6 and down with a bit of a cut because I’m a natural draw hitter…if I don’t, then I’m guaranteed in the woods on the left. Don’t know if this is a phenomena or not. Pete?
