I was gonna attempt this myself but I know for a fact I would fuq it up. Found a guy on ebay to do it for 79. Worth it to me to not take the chance on me screwing up life.
Glass only repairs seem awesome. Ill definately give it a try next time my screen cracks. Its also great that youre still selling these after all these years
I just bought the S24 ultra & I'm trading in my S23 ultra. I just now dropped it & broke the glass. I know how to replace the entire screen, but i don't wanna pay for all that. I really wanna do this but don't wanna fuck it up even more
Considering doing this myself. My two concerns are removing the old screen without damaging anything, and not getting glue into the call speaker. Any tips? Pixel 7 pro. This will be with your glass kit, and pro tool kit.
Be warned, for those with shattered glass, this process is not easy. I ended up peeling both the glass and whatever else is just underneath the glass off. Phone is useless at this point, it powers on but there's no display. For $30 and whatever I have to pay for a new phone, it's an expensive lesson. I'll not be trying this again on any phone and investing in a better case to protect the phone. Good luck to those who forge ahead!
I need to do this ASAP. Shops are requiring that I buy a new LCD. BTW are you saying that the IP68 prevents me from having to open the back of the phone? Does the tape stay on permanently or do we slip it out?
If not, what you can recommend me if I broke the up right corner of the screen? Maybe I just should put the protection screen or smt?? Waiting for your response! Thx in advance!
I pressed like you said in the video and got the little bubble in the center over the fingerprint sensor like you said... I was pressing very lightly... Is there a fix to this?
Do these UV screen protectors come off clean after a year or two? or does the glue harden to a point that you have to scrape it off the screen? or should i just get a plastic membrane?
I like how your guides also work with other branded items, ut you still sell your items, its showing us that you want some profit, but you are ok with people using other branded items
i have a iphne 14 pro max but I need to get it repair but they charging me $450 for it I was wondering how much you would fix it for me but I live in florida
impossible to take off without damaging polarizing layer on Iphone 14 no matter how much the patience you have it will cut through. just not worth it great video I bought a kit
You skip over so much crucial information. The different layers in the screen. Glass vs OLED, testing the screen along the way to make sure you're on track. You rush through steps, don't show close ups. Honestly, the kit is great but this video needs a lot of improvement.
Hello, does pressing the fingerprint sensor while curing also applied to Spigen Glass tr Platinum? I see that Whitestone include a rubber for that purpose on their package, while spigen glass tr platinum doesn't. Meanwhile, other certain spigen type included a weight (similar to whitestone rubber) on their package. Does that mean tr platinum doesn't need pressing on the fingerprint sensor? What if I apply your method, will it affect that spigen type's glue?
This is a difficult repair that I would personally not recommend attempting unless you have some experience. It is VERY diffucult to get the screen out of these without damaging the OLED section, especially if you've got a heavily cracked screen. It requires considerable heat and preferably some strong suction cup tools. I'd strongly recommend buying a salvage complete screen if this is a phone you want to keep, or even an aftermarket LCD. FaceID WILL work, Apple no longer disables this. You'll still get the non-genuine screen warning. FYI I purchased the kit in the link and the OCA is very poor quality, even after 30 minutes it's' not fully set. Not happy with it.
@3:27 i noticed no one mention what part to use the string on! …. So many people on reviews cut off the actual digitizer and was left with the “silver” screen! Damaging it!
i have a quesiton, does applying uv glue lessen the sensitivity of the screen? or its not reading the finger faster? or it improves the sensitivity? sorry my english is bad, i hope you understand and answer. pls thankyou
