your light meter wasnt broken. When the battery is dead the needle goes to the middle and stays there no matter what your settings. Just replace the battery and it will be fine.

If you want to get rid of that one i recommend to just use needle nose pliers and open it a little for it to pop off. If you want to keep the earring as it is, I have no idea…😢
I do this, use needle nose pliers to open the gap some for my septum rings. (I have a wide septum at the base) once it's out, I pinch it easily with the pliers to bend it back into shape.

Big same as someone with a late august birthday…it doesn’t help that at one point my parents admitted that they were told they could put me in school a year earlier but they thought it would be easier to hold me back….😑
