HANDMADE IN SCOTLAND From our workshop in Scotland, we make weatherproof waxed canvas bags & accessories for travel & adventure. Crafted with British-made materials, Trakke bags are guaranteed for life; so you can worry about what lies ahead, not what's on your back.
Unfortunately, my backpack did not hold up so well, after three months the first seams come loose and the surface lets water through. On day on the bike when it rained, the backpack got completely wet.
I love this bag as well, got one in the ripstop Sage colorway and a classic black one, just superb and simple pieces of gear. I actually don't use them for shopping because they're too nice, I have some other rugged less stylish totes for that. My only complain, more of a suggestion really, would be to add an inner water bottle pocket, even two.
Hi there! We don’t typically use the duck classification system in the UK, but our supplier says the canvas we use is closest to a Number 12 duck in terms of weight and durability. Thanks for your question!
Thanks for ordering the Zero Waste Sling! The sunglasses case in the video is from Trakke. We're restocking them this week-sign up for notifications on our website to grab one!
It's indeed so simple yet so functional, I managed to snatch one of the Vango collab edition zero waste slings a while back and it's one of my favorite bags. Sometimes I do wish it had a buckle of some sort but it's fine. I guess you could make an edition with some sort of G-hook as attachment instead of one of the D-rings and that would work too. I dunno, you're the designers. Peace.
Because the two merchant totes I have aren’t enough, it looks like I’ll be adding more. Also- these walkthroughs are GREAT. Super helpful in getting a better idea about the bags. (Everyone should be doing these.)
I love my Trakke black tote and use it each day - only downside is it is a dust and fabric magnet so I have to constantly keep a lint roller close by! 🙃
Hi there! Thanks for the question - the Storr 20L fits one large standard packing cube. The Storr 25L and Storr 35L fit both packing cubes, but the 35L leaves you with a bit of extra room. Do you mean the litreage of each bag?
Sure! Both are great packs - if you need something bigger or smaller than 25L the Storr might be a better option. The Storr also comes with a removable Gigha Sling which is super handy for travel. The Bannoch is a great one for everyday carry or travel, and of course it's design mirrors our best-selling Bannoch pack!
For anyone else who would like to see the dimensions at a glance, here they are: 20L Dimensions: 28 x 44 x 14 cm Weight: 1.13kg / 2.49lb 25L Dimensions: 30 x 50 x 14 cm Weight: 1.26kg / 2.78lb 35L Dimensions: 36 x 52 x 15 cm Weight: 1.35kg / 2.98lb Volume includes front pocket.
The OG Storr has been my go-to daily carry for 6 years. I beat the life out of it and it just develops more character. Just need to repair a small rip at the zipper and it'll easily be good for another 6--if not 60. Cannot recommend it enough.
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Since the original Bannoch is 17L we decided to go with a slightly bigger option - but appreciate that's quite large for some. We're always adjusting our designs based on customer feedback so we'll definitely consider this for future designs.
@@trakke_bags tbh, I think for a lot of people 25L might hit that sweet spot for short travel stints, so it's good, but it would be nice to see the benefits of the Pro in the smaller bags too. And maybe consider adding a luggage passthrough as 25L would pair well with roller luggage for longer trips.
I love my Banana sling! I use it mostly when I'm playing tourist because it keeps my passport, phone, and cash safe. I love that it doesn't use anything weird like a magnetic clasp like others.
Zero Waste Slings should be back end of this week! You can sign up for re-stock notifications on our website, that way you'll get an email when we put them back online :)
Appreciate the deep dive into your sling selection. Just ordered the banana but was a hard choice between the Eigg and Largo. Would love to see the stabiliser strap in action on the Largo!
Great choice! The banana is a firm favourite of ours and a nice in between if you were stuck between the Eigg and Largo. Let us know how you find the Banana when it arrives! We plan to do a load more videos, including using our chest and stabiliser straps 😃
@@trakke_bags Thanks for sharing. It's a pity though :( I love the Bannoch, but can't live without a QAP on an EDC bag, and the Bannoch Pro is too large for my needs.
I sent an email a while back regarding the laptop compartment on the bairn pro taking a 16" macbook pro and was told that it could fit in the main compartment but can't guarantee that it would in the laptop compartment. Nice to know that it will. Hopefully can pick one up soon in the olive color I've been eyeing it for a while. However have to wait for a friend to visit from the uk in fear of the customs fees
I definitely prefer the Bannoch. The Pro is way too long, and the Arkaig too small. I have the Bannoch, and the size works tremendously well, and security is built in. Making the Pro so long prevents effective use for a significant number of people, and eliminates it for my personal consideration.
We haven't found this to be an issue. There are a few different types of aquaguard made in different factories, and I'm aware there are some lamination issues, but the type we buy doesn't seem to suffer.
I am a long time daily user of the Bannoch 17-L, but will upsize to the Bannock Pro model this fall. I appreciate all the improvements. I would like to say that I miss seeing an interior sleeve on the inside where the laptop sleeve is on the current Bannoch 17-L. I use it to segregate papers, or misc bits and bobs when not used for a computer or tablet. Keep up the great innovation.
I have the previous Arkaig, with just one G-Hook and it's still one of my all time favorite daypacks. So cool, sturdy and simple, when you need nothing else, that bag is just one of a kind. I also have a G-Hook Bannoch which I use less because it's black and I want it to last for a long time but it's also just amazing, but I agree that a quick access is missed.
Yeah it's the same with the bairn. You get a pro. Bigger but the smaller size just doesn't have the same features. 25l. What am I going to do with that? Too small to travel too big for edc. 20l would have been perfect. The 17l is ideal but it just has no features. Not even a back panel.
Appreciate the video breakdown, but I suspect a lot of people love the feature set of the pro and just want it in a smaller form factor if not just a shorter one
