Visually it reminds me of kodomomuke anime (anime made for children under 10) that were made in the early 2000s with a few bucks thrown at it. Shows like Mermaid Melody, Magical DoReMi, PreCure, and Lilpri. And with the dubbing quality of 4Kids
6:25 I love how this is delivered. And holy shit, that breakdown of Paul is amazing. I know exactly how Rudeus felt when he was angry at his dad for lashing out at him, asking how Rudeus could be so selfish because I'd been on that journey with him and seen the downs as much as the ups. I almost agreed with Eris that maybe he shouldn't be a part of Rudeus' life if Paul can't appreciate him... but then Rudeus gave Paul a second chance and my god that scene just... Incredible. I've rewatched Mushoku Tensei twice, but sometimes I'll just look up that scene specifically because it just pulls at my heart strings. Not to mention that... the relationships aren't Hollow Fan-Service. Nearly every character in this world has their own story, their own personalities, and are people outside of Rudeus existing, which is such a stark contrast to all of today's Harem Anime where their entire personality is revolved around the Protagonist. But most importantly of all, the major story arc of Season 2 is treated with genuine respect. That's really not a light issue, and can be absolutely crippling... something that the show makes very clear in Rudeus' behavior throughout. The way they can be so serious about legitimate issues has my respect far more than any Anime I've watched. Mushoku Tensei isn't a show I can recommend to just anyone, and it's a shame because when you CAN look past Rudeus being a Creep... it goes really deep.
This comedy series also lead to a collab cafe that captures the same humor. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C--7B2DFwPg.htmlsi=AX-IJfSxZNGR5c_c
Because of the outro undertale music I'm provoked to ask... ik your channel is about anime but would you ever consider making a Video Essay about videogames too? Loved the vid btw
Isekai's should be redemption arcs. The closer they are to redeeming whatever they're redeeming, the stronger they literally get. (that's where the op shi comes in)
I don't know if you were joking about this or not, but Yashiro's fascination with Satoru wasn't love, obviously. He was curious by the fact that the kid screamed that he knows his future and he was fascinated by the fact that Satoru survived just like Spice did. He had plenty opportunity to kill his first human victim (in that timeline) but didn't because he would have felt like Satoru's survival would've been wasted. It's still pretty stupid, but he wasn't in fucking love with his murder victim. The fuck?
Hate to be that guy but if you have a crush when your ten your not waiting 15 fucking years for them to be out of a coma to get with them when they wake up. Is that not crazy? only a psychopath would do that, and a psychopath did exactly that.
I remember once watching like 2 episodes and twice i got an existential crisis, first one was the episode that a big ass tree monster creature was when my boy and the girls were at a forest picnic, and at the end, the forest monster was CONTOLLED BY A FUCKING naked GIRL. The second one the serpent girl got kidnapped (or stalked idk) by a lizard guy who can make himself invisible, and when they catched him, they opened his """""Misterious""""" jacket AND SHE WAS A NAKED HALF GIRL HALF LIZARD 😭😭😭😭😭
My comment before finishing the video (will edit after I get to the end) I hated this show because the first episode was *so good* and then it turned into a generic highschool anime with some plot mixed in occasionally. It feels the same to me as something average which in the anime world feels worse than just being bad
