Even easier to connect the lamp (bulb) with a 2 core + earth wire straight to a plug head with a 3 AMP fuse and then plug into a nearby socket.

This is so helpful. I have old wiring pre 2004, Also due to positioning, I'm having to view inside the rose upside down so it's a tad complicated. However, this has been extremely helpful not only as regards to 'how to' but also for tools to use.

Some outlet boxes have switches that have to be manually wired to the two socket terminals. With this type of outlet box, could you connect the live wire going to the light switch directly to one of the outlet box switch terminals?

Excellent tutorial, I have learned a lot from it, just a couple of questions. You used Wago connectors. The Wago connectors I have are the 221s like yours can these still be pushed back through? For a non qualified person would you recommend taping the loop wires together then the same with the line wires.
