grated onion is a game changer. I also learned how to slice them while they're hot using a fork. I usually wait until theyre cool enough to touch and that just will not do for an authentic warm Yukon potatoe salad. Thank you for sharing, hope to see more of your videos soon.
I changed the plug to the one you recommended and she still won’t start. What’s weird is she has run before on propane so not sure what the problem is. She will run on gas no problem......

I own the very same generator and run on natural gas flawlessly. I remember hearing or reading to break it in on gasoline (which I did) for 5 hours…not saying thats the problem though…
Yeah mine is just the opposite, never ran propane only gas. Had only 15 hours on it at most. It was also only 3 months old. Ran and hooked up once or more every month. So thinking it might be the carb I drain part of the fuel tank from bolt on the bottom of the carb. It was a nice steady flow, the gas was good and even test for water. Everything came back good. I changed the oil again, making sure to fill up to manufactures specs. Still no start on gas screw in propane, starts right up. Disconnect the propane and remove the air filter, put a little carb cleaner there. Allowing for 10-13 minutes before squirting some good gas in the carb. Turn the key and it starts and then dies. Btw the choke is in the correct position per the manufacturer specs and yes the fuel line is set to open. I’m not sure how to check the solenoid voltage for when starting it with gas but I have reached out to this company 4 times over the last two weeks and can’t get any help. It’s kinda a let down cause this was the perfect solution for my needs. Oh and I tested the spark plug, it was in good working order with plenty of spark and .20. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you.
I am having the same issue here too, runs fine on propane but not gas. I will have to try replacing the spark plug on mine. Let me know if you find a fix for yours.
I never use choke when running on nat gas. It isn’t needed. Also, if you over flood with lpg using the primer tickler then you can form a carbon bridge across the plug electrodes.
today is 5-31-24, I bought my 13000-watt Duro max about a year and a half ago. It would never run on propane but would run on gasoline. Every time I tried to start on propane it would backfire. At that time Duro-Max staff did not know what was wrong, they told me things to try but none worked. They told me to send it back to get it fixed. Today I called them and after talking with a tech person he told me that in that year they had problems with the spark plugs. It would start on gasoline but not propane because propane needs a hotter spark plug. He gave me this spark plug number to try which is: NGK BPR6ES . Well, I bought the spark plug at an auto parts store. I Installed it and the generator started on the second start and run great. I couldn't believe it. Thank you Duro Max staff for your help. I hope this helps people with this problem.

Finish in butter till butter turns brown.
Chicken Coating: 1 cup ground almond meat.(soaked in water and skin remoned) 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1 tablespoon baking soda Put in gallon plastic or paper bag, shake well. 1 Chicken Breast Sliced horizontal in half and pounded thin. Heat 2 tablespoons avocado oil in frying pan. Put Chicken in bag of coating and shake well. Carefully place coated Chicken Breasts in pan that is heated so that the oil is slightly smoking. Cook both sides of Breasts to light brown and inside temperature is 165° Place on cutting board, rest for a couple of minutes, then slice into pieces. Put over your favorite salad.
The regulator in mounted incorrectly. It should be mounted so that it is vertical. Mounted like it is shown, the diaphram doesn't open and close correctly.
That is very loud 🤨😡😤 Mine is very quiet & I never have to raise my voice around it. My neighbors don't know I have a generator when the lights go out. They think I have a direct line from the substation.
Sell it & buy a Honda inverter generator with fuel injection. I've had mine for over 5 years & all I have changed is the oil. It starts everytime & it can run my entire house including my 2-1/2 ton central air.
EU 7000is is a 5500 watt generator with a 7000 watt surge. I have tested mine to 9000 watts without tripping the circuit breaker. Usually generators have a surge to 7000 & that's it. Not this Honda. It will run right up to 9000 watts which is unbelievable for a generator!
CHICKEN FRENCH Chicken Coating 1 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon corn starch 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Salt and pepper Mix well 2 Chicken Breasts (sliced horizontal in half and then pounded to 1/8 inch) Dredge Breasts in Chicken coating Cook in heated 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Turn over after 4 minutes. Cook another 4 minutes. Should be light brown on both sides. Remove to a plate. Pour in 1 cup white wine to deglaze pan. (Do not use non stick pan) Pour in boiling chicken stock with 1 teaspoon Better than Bouillon stirred in. Add Breasts back to pan and cook till liquid thickens. Add Parmesan cheese on top of chicken a cook to melt an thicken sauce more. Before taking off heat, squeeze one lemon to the mix. Serve with a smile as your guests will be astonished.
The pump doesn't run until the red light comes on so you don't want to let go as soon as the light comes on you want to hold it for about another three or four seconds. If you hold it until you hear a change in the sound of the pump you'll know it's up to pressure and the bowl is full.
The "hot ip" I saw elsewhere is to open the propane tank value *slowly*. This prevents abruptly slamming full pressure on the regulator, so the regulator works correctly. I don't yet know if the regulator is fixable when it fails this way, and if it can be fixed, whether it's easy. Bottom line: valve opening speed matters.
Thanks for joining the party. Slowly opening the tank valve may work on some applications. Like Buddy heaters, but the factory instructed to change propane setup and spark plug. I don't know why they didn't supply the appropriate plug in the first place.
I have this exact generator with the exact problem. I actually finally got it started, it ran for an hour, when I shut it off, it wouldn't start again. I have decided the regulator on the generator is faulty. I'm just running it on gasoline. It also has intermittent backfiring issue. Thinking it may have something to do with valve timing. Going to get more into it when the rain lets up.
I just bought the 13,000 duel generator. Spent 4 hours attempting to get it to start. Sent 3 emails to what has been described as 24/7 support. Didn't happen. Fortunately my brother in law did a deep dive on the web. Found out that a better spark plug was needed. We bought it and WHAM-0!. It started right away on both platforms, propane and gas. Also had to recharge the battery. Look luck
Exactly the same solution to the issues with my XP13000HX! Very hard starting on Propane, it would take 3 or 4 tries to get it started. Switched to an E3 spark plug, it starts on Propane first try every time now!!
Rotel makes it SW? I’d hit it with some good chorizo instead of pepperoni, and maybe some black bean and corn. Finish with some regular or flavored sour cream zig zagged across the top. Can maybe sub some pepper jack cheese in if you’re not already scared of the heartburn this thing is gonna cause lol
The answer is... Take the carb apart and clean it! Especially free up the shut off solenoid plunger(and it's easy to get to). Btw, you have to prime it a lot longer than you did... More like 10-12 seconds and crank it for 5-10 seconds(when cold). Once it's warm it will start right up.
Chef Craig, just stumbled onto your channel. However, your no-nonsense diagnosis and delivery really was helpful for us non-mechanical type. I found it very informational and increased my knowledge on the subject. Thereby leads me to dissecting prospective problems going forward before throwing in the towel and paying a mechanic $$$$ untold of amounts of my hard-earned money.
