Mark's most pumped update yet! And why not! Wife and friends, tight lines, BBQ and fireworks. Awesome day dude! Note to self I'm gonna go deeper like your depths, off Grimsby. 100 fow holding some juniors but no matures.
Fishing the evening til dark is my favorite. The lake usually lays down and the fish turn on that last hour before dark. Plus you usually get a beautiful sunset too.
@@KingsLandingSportFishing LoL 😂 yeah I apologize Mark I jumped the gun on that one... can't wait to out to the East LOC Derby starting end of the month.. i caught winning Browns 2 days after a Brown tournament. Uggg. Next year. Paid $2k one day and $2800.00 the other 2 days and fish would have won all three days. UGGGG. That's the way it goes.
I often do the same thing, and I believe the snap only approach allows more action to spoons as well as crankbaits. Additionally, if I'm fishing suspending cranks, the snap only approach has less affect on buoyancy.
Hi Marc, I am interested in project salmon planer boards, could you do a video showing them off, and talking about the clips, flag system design, adjustable weights? If they have them Etc. For both standard and mags. Familiar with offshore and church, but looking to try project salmon boards to add to my program. Thanks.
Hi Marc, 19 strand....if I'm gonna use it for my wire divers do I need a twilly tip? Is an Okuma 8.5 ft. copper rod a good choice as a wire diver rod for 19 strand? If not, any suggestions? What knots are suitable to join 19 strand to mono or braid? Thank you!
I wound up using this method a lot last year for my first year salmon fishing. I wound up going pretty heavy up to 10ozs without tangle issues on my small boat and that’s running 8-11” flashers behind the 10oz ball. I wound up catching mostly rainbows and a few cohos out deep using this method just like you said. I did get a few kings in a little closer too. Fishing WI side of Lake Michigan. Thanks for the videos
Welcome back Captain Marc. With this new "micro" weighted steel, is the regular termination kit going to work or will they come out with a "micro" kit?
You are not going to get the UNDULATION with the steel that you get with weighted Steel. Send me all your old Lead Core. Think you are going to miss lead core
@@KingsLandingSportFishing so you really don't know that you had 150 feet of line out? That doesn't make your test results overly accurate but thanks for taking the time to show us the difference in the diver depths.
Totally agree +/- 5% is acceptable. For those that have never checked it possible to be up to 20% off which would make a difference when trying to network information with others.
Number one bad lighting you don’t backlight a video and you’re too far away to see your rig and I can barely hear you if you’re gonna make a video make it right 1:51
@@geraldvarner4311 - Single Probe SmartTroll is less money that the X4. Two Probe setup is about the same cost. With the SmartTroll you have the ability to put the sensor on your divers and long lines. Can’t do that with the other systems.
Hi Mark ,I enjoy your videos .Im in Maine and have been to lake Ontario trolling for Kings a hand full of times.I normally fish in Maine for pike. I fish 4 line with large spoons any where from 10 to 30 feet down and 30 to 100 feet back.Im running the Garmin ultras .can you recommend a transducer and mounting orientation so that I can see my 4 lines? I’m going to purchase it for this coming spring Thank you Donald
I can't find these HotFish spoons on the internet... Only a very limited selection. Maybe you could post a link to products? I know... pain in the a**! I'll find a similar spoon... Thanks for other info tho! bill o
