Why wouldn't you make the "so called" Dead man switch an Opposable thumbs mechanism as this would provide definite release at the point of any incident, Dead man pedals are the stupid way of thinking, One's hand will release in 99% of time other than electrocution and this is less likely in Australia as we are smarter with Electricity than most of the world
Grain part shows the stupidity of Americans, why wouldn't you just use an Auger, and not trust chains and a lot of metal parts instead of an easily replaceable part that would not cause sparks, pure Science that the US obviously does not follow
Give me a thumbs up if you wait for the lineup to dwindle and then get out of your lounge seat and queue up. Why deal with the pushy people onboard when the plane cant take off until the last person is onboard anyway?
Jim Al -Khalili Thank you for your wisdom and guidance. Tesla, Einstein, and almost every scientist, philosopher, has come to the realization that we are part of a Divine Creation, as we Come in Closer to the truth ❤ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ilhsm4OISUA.html.

The recent Oroville Dam Spillway collapse disaster - exactly the same scenario. Construction companies lying their butts off. _Yeah! We built on top of bedrock. No no, we weren't lazy and put it on soil! Bedrock, yes, we put it on bedrock._ How many other dams are unsafe due to paid-off or lazy inspectors, and psychopathic construction company brass? Oregon's Trojan Nuclear power plant cooling towers were found to be built unsafe, not to code. Ready to collapse in a very minor quake. They were imploded before a disaster could happen. But how many engineering ticking time bombs remain?
My friend had a habit of putting sand in any old large, plastic container on a deck before parties. It became the "big ashtray." I found a smouldering fire in it once, put it out w a cup of water. Told them, hey, its overloaded with cigs/butts. They dismissed it, being pretty lazy. Next thing i know, later that year; they're evicted for starting a deck fire, in the "cig bin," which spread to the two wooden decks above. The butts that built up in it, were like blades of grass. Never learned their lesson, until disaster. Often, cigarette butts don't fully combust. Sometimes, the fire's point if origin is less damaged than where the fire travelled - where it found better ventilation, or wind, and more intense fuels. In that way, cigarette -caused fires can be sometimes the easiest to determine.
the cladding issue is one of the world, we never listened until grenfell tower, and many other countries are having their own fatal awakening still, special when update old building that have stay put firewall with deadly skins. 40 years ago Grenfall would not of spread to kill the many it did. The inner stair way never burned but was useless as smoke blocked it and the fire spread around the building in a way it couldn't before making the fire fighters make the mistake of saying stay put rather than get out. All because they wanted poor to move or improve and they made the place look nice for the local rich who saw the building as a eye saw, each and every rich local was responsible for the death there. All they wanted was high property values, not the place is sign by the death of the tower and the tower will forever be a eye saw lowering the value righteous of a murder site.
I am a bit confused by the numbers in both experiments. 1. Trenches Open air explosion: 39-12-7-5 Straight trench: 397-65-38-21 Sharp Corner Trench: 60-19-12-7 Round Corner Trench: 76-21-13-8 While the myth seems plausible, I do not get the enormous difference at 20ft. That is before the first ned is reached, meaning at that point all trenches were identical. And should have given the same values. There is no reason why the straight trench should give 5-7 times more pressure at 20ft than the other two. This is fishy. The difference between round and sharp corners is small. This could easily be explained by various variables like how the explosive was packaged, how it was placed, how it burned, etc. If it was angled slightly downward, this could make all the difference. And again, at 20ft. there should be no difference at all, yet there is. And I did not get the reason why they shored it up. You can cut a more precise corner with just earth. Trenches in WW1 rarely were shored up, because they were temporary. Only in long-term trench warfare like Verdun and others did it make sense to put time and effort in shoring up. And, yeah, with n=1 you can't really say anything. 2. Balloons The test rig did not work correctly. The drop distance of the weight was different, because the height of the balloons differed. Thus the better dog-balloon cushion lost only because the weight dropped nearly double the distance before contact with the balloons. I am not really impressed with this episode.
It's not a surprise that someone from Missouri was responsible for this catastrophe. Their politicians think women can stop getting pregnant by "just shutting it down" when they are getting raped...🙄
I have the same idea for Ontario. We have hundreds of gravel pits and all are on top of the escarpment. My idea is to pump water from lake Ontario into the highest pit first and have them drain from east to west to eliminate the cone of depression around them so the natural creeks that dried up run again and people who now are getting water from a truck can pump from their wells again. When the water gets to the last pit, it runs into a penstock to produce electricity on demand. A simple solution that will bring people and recreation to the area. The best part is the water is filtered and settled out and after producing electricity you get cold clean drinking water. We could also use this system for cooling the water from industry with some of the pits being warm enough to swim in in the depths of winter. I see nothing but benefit and as permanent solution to several problems. we could even heat some streets and intersections in winter and heat homes.
Boeing didn’t EVER make a 747-700. For people who allegedly know about Aviation/Aircraft it’s laughable to think they thought they were working on a 747-(700) 🙈🙈✈️ ITS A B747-400 😁✈️! Or just MAYBE The Welsh have possibly come up with another Aviation Marvel and genuinely done what Boeing clearly missed out on and made a 747-(700) 🤔🤷♂️✈️
I remember the London high rise fire; but not this one!!🤔 Siding lined with flamable plastic wow!! Cigarettes belong in a real ash tray not a plastic yogert container on a flamable table. How great of building codes and inspectors!!
Seeing the intro of this show reminds me of another tv series i use to watch long ago called Destoryed in Seconds. its pretty interesting to hear and see them compare side by side of the intro.
With the shopping Mall, calling it an Engineering failure is untrue, the fact is that there were leakage issues from the start and instead of fixing the roof waterproofing they stupidly and I would say neglectfully left it to leak for 30 years until the rusted structure could not support the car park any more. The building owners should be held responsible for the loss of life. Not an Engineering Fail, the Architects should have been partially blamed for the waterproofing only and forced to claim of insurance to get the building fixed 30 years earlier, but to allow the water to leak for 30 years that is just madness.
That mall looks just like the condo downfall in Florida! Many saw it coming in both cases and ignored the obvious. Cold hearted snakes🍸that mall killed 2 but the condo🤔😤😡holy shit!
fire's very rapid spread caused by a very similar, profit boosting cladding to that behind the Grenfel fire in London which killed 72 folks...only this fire in Melbourne was fully 3 YEARS before ! no alert raised/heeded in relation to the inherent risk & danger of the plastic filled cladding? i wonder why not.
That truck impact was absolute SAVAGERY! My word... Tori's fuel consumption was impressive. I can see why people get already economical vehicles and try and improve it still. It would have been even more interesting to see if they could increase the mileage by adding a lightweight version of the golf ball dimples that Adam and Jamie did with the car in the past. That was so cool!
