Thanks so much for this. Porsche was never really on my radar as I’ve mostly only purchased American but have recently just gotten sick of the lack of choices in the Domestic market here. So, we ordered our first Porsche to spec in a 2024 Macan T (great experience) and I’ve been really thinking about a Cayman, especially after detailing a coworkers 07 Cayman S. I’m not a fan of all the tech in modern cars and I appreciate an analog existence with physical buttons and radios that only do radio things, lol. I daily a manual Pontiac Solstice (09 I ordered new and now has 220k) and love the idea of small nimble sports car for a daily regardless of what some people say. Your video helped squash concerns I had and really has me thinking about going out to test drive some 987.1s and hopefully adding to our newly found appreciation for Porsche. im pretty sure the physics are all buggy because of fps. a lot of 90s and 2000s games had physics that were tied to the framerate. essentially, your PC is too good for this game.
Okay, so literally found this as the first video on tips. This helped so much I went from not being able to drift, to literally drifting my Mazda with ease. Me and by brother made the car with all drift parts, and we couldnt figure out how to drift. Thank you for showing me how, also the parts I use to drift my Mazda, that works for me is a Showcase suspension Super, and a pro Speed Cross Differential.
I've just started with a wheel and currently slower than on a pad. I normally use motion steering. Even though I'm slower it is more fun hopefully times will improve in the coming weeks
The cars in this game isn't even accurate no rear wheel drive will ever beat an all wheel drive car for example a 180sx, a Mazda M5, a rx7, a BMW m3 gtr, a Porsche 911 Carrera will never ever beat an Evo 9 an all wheel drive car even if all of them including the Evo 9 have the same HP at 1200hp they still can't beat the Evo 9
one thing i can personally recommend is, if youre driving against someone, you have to pay attention to them and read their moves. you can not just expect someone to not hit you or give you the space simply because you are entitled to it, people are unpredictable and you have to get to know how people work. anticipiate lunges and bumps. a lot of them are not even on purpose anyway and come from people underestimating their speed approaching a corner. use your head more when driving!
25:58 this driver went for the gap and pushed you off, but you couldve just hit the apex, therefore not giving him the space, and his intentions were very clear. so if you drove better from the get go, he would not have been able to do that, and once hes alongside and you can tell hes not braking, you can back out of it. its the same as on a real road, people drive recklessly, and in a videogame more so since they dont have to pay damages. so this becomes a very predictable situation. anyway, great video and hope this helps reframe other driver's actions
same at 26:13, you can see him hit the wall and do not react whatsoever. avoiding these kinds of crashes will bump your rating up instantly and then youll also be able to keep it

Mahn, you are the fkcng LEGEND! I play it on PS5 and have no problems with graphics or controls atm. But... How do I learn to drift for these DLC prestige trophies? Please help with advice, ideas, tutorials, and guidance. When it comes time to drift starting with 350-450k for bronze, I just die. More than 100K with a lot of effort, just can't make it. I changed a dozen tunings and settings on this highly rated Lambo. I watched a lot of videos, read a lot of articles, and damn it - I suck a this and that's it.

Hi so I resintly got this game. I have all ready gotten the lv 50 rep. . N I bought the 2 million mcLaren p1gtr 15 . N I was looking on hitting a 400+ car. N I watched your video. N bought this ( Porsche 911 Carrera rar 73. I do not like this car . I can't yous boosters noss . The front of the car picks up off the ground. N u can't bost after a turn, u need a long starch to use a bost , there's very little long stretches in races , u can't get the most out of the car with noss boating . I need a car that keep all whils on the ground when i burbo bost . This was a wast of of time gitting the car I need a car better than my 2 million $ McLaren .
