seems more like an FH4 update tbh. 3 years?!? I feel like they did the bare minimum to call it a new game and for some reason waited 3 years to release.
@@capnsteele3365 yes actually I've been playing it non-stop. Physics alone are SO much better than FH4. Cars don't slide around like they're on ice anymore and the new wheels are great. Still I think it's minimal for a 3 year game, but the more I play it, the more I realizer how different it is
@@rubbertoe. Tbh if they fix the multiplayer and give it a lot more freedom I think this would come close to FH1. At this point in time I’d put in on the same level as 3 and far above 4. 3 is underrated in my opinion.
I agree with what you said about menus. I never played Forza games. This is my first one. And the game just... drops you in. SO MANY MENUS. There is so much shit and I can't figure out what where how why
All in all I think it’s just FH4 but much more polished with a far better atmosphere, map and graphics. The map is by far the best they have ever done. The atmosphere is phenomenal and even matches the first game. My one big complaint is the lack of focus on PVP racing. No class choice or race selection again, and they basically copied and pasted adventure modes again. I think they need to scrap it t and bring back the type of lobbies they had in Motorsport it’s just a far superior system. If they were to do that I’d argue this would be game would be in FH1 tier. I am excited to see what they do. Hopefully they do some good updates.
@@StraightUpHippo Horizon 1 had them and you could even make custom ones. I don’t understand why they ever got rid of it. Would make the multiplayer so much more enjoyable.
With that being said i can see there being a problem with matchmaking later on in the life cycle. Really struggled to find games in FH4 and that's before you mention the custom search. I'm quite happy with how it is since you can get into a game instantly and if you don't like it it's faster than fh4 to restart the search and find a lobby you do like.
@@StraightUpHippo Fair points. My problem with that though is that you are forced to use one car for multiple events. At least in Motorsport you can select the car pre game. I think if they were to implement D-X racing Motorsport lobbies and you get the choice of 2-3 event types where players vote would be good. Racing, cross country etc all included. That would be a potential solution to matchmaking issues.
My only complain is that half of the "driftable" roads are off-road. Which annoys me so much. I am not a huge fan of off road racing and half of the races are off road. 🙄 It's frustrating when you go on a map and see a curvy road and you are like "Oh great, boutta drift this" and then you go there and you need to a whole ass tractor to have fun drifting that shit.
