Along with some of the other bands mentioned by the commentators on here some other bands to check out should include The Misunderstood, The Outsiders (the Dutch band), Group 1850, Aum, We The People and some others
Fantastic. I didn't realize these two albums were such del Shannon james. It's so very sad about his suicide Jeff Lynn was prime to produce his next record and everything.
She by del shannon? Never knew that. I love boys and heart. Why aren't you working for ACR their voice and heart comp had a questionable tunes at best regions? Nobody needs music by those guys.
The zombies are always a big “what if” from me. Although they had moderate success, I’m dumbfounded as to why they thought theyd not sustain this. They had just dropped one of the greatest albums of all time. If they had just waited a little bit. But they are still one of the greatest bands ever even in that short period.
I have to call this BS. I had to stop after the 3rd example not resembling punk rock even a little bit. The syncopated guitars sound like any beat music from this era, they are just played a little bit louder and with more distortion. Still, no punk rock at all.
John Peel, the absolute greatest DJ of all time once said of Keith Emerson's band, "ELP are a waste of talent and electricity". That's one of my all time favourite quotes ever.
Obviously Rod Evans was the wrong fit for the direction Purple wanted to take. In any other non metal band he would have been an perfectly acceptable lead vocalist.
You must be kidding. While the Brits were still playing in their inflatable garden pools the Americans had already swum the ocean. The Monks recorded the first ever post-punk album in 1965! You got it right: Post-punk in 65! And none of the bands you listed are "punk" btw.
Larry Page really meant well with his short-lived label. What's amazing is that there are versions of all of those singles from the us, UK and germany. He really tried giving it a go. It's too bad it didn't work out.
Good day to you Mr papers not this is the best channel I've subscribed to ever! You got an incredible amount of content and I've never really been disappointed in anything you've put up here. I hate how some of the other channels I've watched have their face squarely up behind quarters of the Fab four catalog tell me that NOW AND THEN is a groundbreaking song?! No, it's a cash grab. People want to make you feel bad because John Lennon and George Harrison are dead. Well people already feel bad about that. Why do they have to exploit the dead dad oh yes, Yoko
My first concert was Rory Gallagher, Fleetwood Mac and lining was Deep Purple. After seeing Ritchie Blackmore, my life changed. I was barely a teenager and saw that. Can you imagine? Ritchie is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
I don't know who this guy is. I realize I could Google it. But, would you be kind enough to tell me who he is not I need a laugh I need to read anything this guy says. It's opinionated as hell. It's just like me. Except not with all the male pattern baldness
The peruvian band called Los Saicos with the theme Demolición its another example of protpunk ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bIwDtPErh-M.html
Psychedelic/acid rock yeah. Proto-punk yeah (just like any other acid rock group from the 1960s). Do they sound like a 1970s punk recording and pioneered punk 10 years ahead of its time? I wouldn't go that far.
New Zealand group The Avengers did a cover of "Love, Hate Revenge" in 1968. It charted quite well in NZ and some consider it was better than the original.
why does the UK want so bad to co-op or create a music trend? they steal something and remake it and the try to claim it as their own years, sometimes decades later.
