The gearwrench semis in both 3/8 & 1/4 dr are fantastic, I enjoy them, very versatile in tight areas and perform quite well. Pair it with a good ratchet and they are a great duo 💯
Hi KDTX - First time coming across your content. I liked and subbed. 👍 If you are open to suggestions from a complete stranger with well meaning intent…I offer this to you. The review of the content came off as if it was your first time seeing it. Probably not, but it seemed that way. My suggestion is to come in to the content with high energy already knowing what you want to say is “good” and what is a ”pass”. Second, while it’s not a bad microphone…maybe consider upgrading? Hey bmiller! I most humbly appreciate this type of criticism and advice. As for the equipment, it was done on my phone for this particular video lol, but will definitely keep that in mind, I did recently purchase a camera and have wanted to get a microphone for that so I will definitely put that to the top of the list. And great tip on the content portion, yea technically got fooled on the email as well thinking it would be some new stuff on the sales, not sure if you’re referring to this particular video or not.

Looks like a bit of a drought at HF until the black friday sales hit. Hopefully they've got a few zingers beyond just what's in that leak that hit a week ago or so.
Check your contents often. The temp extremes in a car will destroy everything. Even the nylon straps will degrade; food and water for sure. Just another consideration. The distance, time and area along with "your" ability to carry will help determine what is "needed", ounces equals pounds, pounds equals pain. If your goal is to get home, making shelter might be the last thing... Your vehicle is far better for that. Keep what you need.
The right tool makes you better mechanic in form, not skill. I've watched folks buy $80k in truck brands and still can't fix a damn thing. I love tools so i try not to brand whore, but stay within your means and save up if you want truck brands.
I have a 19mm size of that blue point ratchet wrench. I also have a harbor freight Pittsburgh version of the pass through sockets. The Pittsburgh soskets have a ball detent built into the sockets. They stay in the wrench without falling out. Great investment for me at 22.99 for the sockets. Gives me extra low profile access .
Soo when I was young and had to keep beater cars alive I got Pittsburg and they last about the life of the car which was long enough for me. But if your starting out as a mechanic or do your own work on vehicles icon is a decent go to but I think gear wrench is a better option. I wouldn’t go on a truck unless you have the money or starting to get past that green horn stage at a shop.
Your logic is good 💯 Icon is definitely a good option but lacks a bigger catalog of tools. Gearwrench definitely has alot of automotive tools covered so they are definitely a good option and for the money pretty decent quality.
That was a thoughtful gesture to include a roadside emergency kit in the sale of the car. I'd add a roll of duct tape sealed in a ziplock bag. Duct tape can be used to temporarily seal a ruptured coolant hose.
Awesome! more of these types of vids please another tip is to get long jumper cables…recently saw someone HAVE jumper cables but the booster car could only pull up side-by-side and the cables didn’t reach by literally a few inches 30ft cables will let you jump start across an entire parking space if you need to

I'm a mechanic and have been using a 12V impact wrench. It hasn't failed me yet, and I mainly use it for anything under 200 ft-lbs. It's been lightweight and reliable for my needs so far.

You're right about the price. It's not for everyone, but if you find a deal maybe worth checking out. But I havent seen any of these in stores. Im sure you could, but for the price, not sure if it would be worth the effort. I’d honestly say I’d spend that money on a whole separate cabinet
Got it for 29 as well. When my boss saw it and heard the price tag he snatched one up during lunch as well. I paired it with a 4.0 and use it in under dash, interior, light engine repairs, brake calliper work. Can't beat my m12 stubby but the price is just too good. Also, when I went back to the store I noticed they replaced em with new kits that include the 4.0 and upped the price to $55.
Really been considering the 62 at 1299, just waiting around to maybe see if i can catch a sale, they dont run sales as often as H,freight but they do sometimes a couple to three times a year, Nothing else if i dont find what want at market place, the depot sends out 10% off promo when you apply in store. I like having color choices the us general offer but i like the lay out so much better on the husky, stainless top, soft close doors, the locking drawers are so much better. I think the tool boxes normally start discounting around spring leading up to memorial day weekend on these bigger ones, thats when I had gotten mine. Yea the 10% off is a big help especially with tax. One good thing I like about these is theyll normally throw in delivery for free as well and allow you flexibility of how to schedule it. 🍻🍻

You should check out Capri's impact socket sets on their website. I've been extremely happy with mine. Great price, no skips, and they make up to at least a 36mm (I believe) in the mm sizes. Im pretty sure Matco rebrands Capris impact sockets. The 1/2 drive sets start at 10mm and stop at 24 or 25mm, with all the expansion sockets available. For the price, it would be hard to find better quality. Personally, I like them a lot better than my Sunnex impact stuff.
I'm gonna have to catch up with everyone else and get a few different pairs of these. I saw where Olsa has released a pair of connector pliers that are the same style as those, just barely a little different. I think their price on them is 24.99.
pulled trigger a wk ago on the hyper tough and man so glad i did, have their version of dremel thats on clearance for 17buks, now i just need to get the long ratchet for my go/junk yrd bag. @@kdtxtooldadyeah i got the 29 dollar deal last week and my boss saw mine and swapped the last one off the store shelf during lunch. Went back today and seems like they were clearing out the old sets on purpose. They've restocked the 3/8 but with a 4Ah battery in the kit and a new $55 price tag.

What are you using to organize your sockets etc. Capri tools does a great job in the Eva foam. But most of us see the foam as space waster. I want to pack as many sockets in a Organize way. Thanks for stopping by, 🍻. As far as socket organization, my favorite has been the tool grid system, it allows me to expand all of my sets and keep them together. Some people dont like it cause you can’t take the whole set out, but when I need to I just throw them on a socket boss like the video and take it where I need to, but in the box they stay organized
Wal Mart tools make for a junkyard bag and that's about it Hart does offer chrome moly impacts Tools out of Vietnam are fairly good quality, better than India from what I've seen Stay cool
Sweet. Just picked up my BCFs. I excited to use them. I think you should try the blue point version of the thinner ones. I dont use the ratchet version very much but the lower price point i actually believe its better than the snap on version. Much cheaper too. Blue Point PN HCP9. Ive warrantied them 2 times in the last 4 years, they fall apart but only because i use them so much
