In some ways I found it sad Mark and Jen had the destiny to split up, but that’s the drama one direction into another that you’d have to go with on sad terms
wonder why she couldn't kill him. wonder if he is truly sorry. he has to live with knowing he destroyed the only decent relationship he had. although he doesn't allow her to be with anyone else either.
Goes back their high school days. Chloe was always in love with Clark. She never stopped loving him. Chloe would do anything for Clark. Clark never returned her affections. Chloe did realize IMO that Lionel and Lex put Lana through torment but Lana chose to go down the path of revenge. Sinking to Lex’s level. Clark’s destiny was to be with someone who would not go down that road. I don’t hate Lana. I feel for her. She loves Clark and will always hold a special place in his heart and vice versa. If you ask me Chloe loved Clark the most. Clark even told her that in 6x12 “Labyrinth,” “I don’t know what I’d do without you Chloe. You mean a lot more to me than you know. You were the one person who believed in me.” Lana sadly was a tortured soul who tried so hard to shove down her darkness but marrying Lex brought it out thanks to Lionel. Always meddling. Clark tried so damn hard to mend her darkness but it never worked. Gough and Milar dragged Lana’s story out far too long. The “star crossed lovers,” thing should have ended with Lana dying in Clark’s arms in season 6 finale or in the 10th episode of season 7 with Bizarro and Brainiac teaming up to destroy Clark, take her as a hostage, and kill her in front of him. Rather than what the writers actually did. Ugh 😩
Lana knew in this moment if she murdered Lex in cold blood she could never ever face Clark. The thing is I was so happy when she came back in 7x03. Although Lex was beyond twisted in so many ways he was the most honest here IMO when he said he would never bother her again. Lex probably knew she’d get back with Clark and well he couldn’t touch her while with Clark. Yes. Lana is dark in many ways but she didn’t want to murder him here. When she came back to Smallville she should have left Lionel and Lex ALONE!!!!! Leave the past in the past and be happy with Clark. Instead she set up the Isis Foundation which on the surface was a good cause but it was a cover up for what she was really doing. Spying on her ex husband. Then she lied to Clark and had Lionel tortured. When you want to start over fresh you don’t fixate on past relationships. You move the hell forward. Don’t look back. You’re not going that way. That’s my motto. The greatest revenge on Lex instead of spying on him would have been to leave him alone in that big mansion. Alone. Completely and utterly alone. While she’s with the man she loves. I will say the “Clana,” got dragged out way too much IMO. I actually thought she did die for real in 6x22. It should have ended there then Clark could have pursued a relationship with Chloe. My favorite character of the show. ❤️
I will always ship Clark and Lana together. Some "Clana," fans say he fell for Lois because he couldn't make things work with Lana. I agree. It wouldn't have been true to the origins had the creators of this show had Clark end up with Lana instead of Lois. I love and feel bad for Lana but it was her secrets sadly that split up her relationship with Clark. Not saying Clark is "Mr. Perfect." He's made his fair share of mistakes and one of them being not telling Lana who he really was back in season 1, 2, or even 3. It's difficult to say what I would do in this situation but had I been Lana in this moment I would have left Lex alone. That's the worst punishment. Leave him to his own misery. Go be with the man you've always loved. Start the Isis Foundation which she had good intentions about but leave Lex and Lionel alone. Whats in the past should stay where it belongs. In the past. Okay Lana Lex and Lionel both manipulated you. This is true. You're finally with Clark now. Let it go. Make a difference by helping others and encourage Clark to embrace his destiny. Since it didn't work out with Lana I was hoping as a long time Chloe fan that Clark would end up with Chloe. :) Chloe loved Clark as well. :)
Jennifer deserved so much better, but she did tell Marc that they were done and that their relationship was going nowhere. That is why I was surprised when Jennifer felt so mad after she saw Lauren and Marc kissing each othera lipa. 😅
Parental units; hahaha, they look like they are 18 or 20 years why would they worry so much about their folks splitting up !? Marc was a jerk and did not deserve any of the ladies that he dated/was involved with...he deserved to remain single.
Lana goes from being committed to Clark, to being a psyche case, to being depressed, to being traumatized. Lana Lang on Smallville is a psychological case study more than she is a character. She only loves Clark when it is convenient for her. Chloe is a true friend from the beginning to the end of Smallville. But Lois is my favorite, she's assertive, has rock solid commitment, and doesn't back down for anyone or anything. Not even armageddon itself, as we see eventually.
One of the two best episodes to feature Helen Slater as Lara. This especially was such a touching moment for Lana to be able to meet Clark's kryptonian mother Lara. As he was the person she most loved, respected and cared for her whole life. Certainly an honor for her. This episode was always amazing due to Laura Vandervoort and how well she played off of Helen as Kara and Lara.
they would have made more sense as a couple than him with lois and chloe lois just got passed around by the justice league and chloe dating her cousin's ex is nasty sharing men with family members is sick
I like them working together. S7 should have been them transitioning to this professional relationship and not more emotional drama. It would have been healing for all involved. Clana vs Clois wars are stupid, especially when the actresses and their characters are pitted against each other by fans while Kristen and Erica very much get along in real life.
This is honestly a throwaway scene. There’s so much story to tell in Smallville and Metrapolis and between these two characters and this is the best the writers came up with for these two?!
Lex is creepy sorry Lana deserved better if you think about it she was kind and people used it against her bc she wanted to see the good in everyone Clark make her suffer too by keeping her away from who he really was when she could have handle it good .. still mad they didn't end up together
I hated this scene. Ya, it is a TV show. But it still made me, Whimper a little. But, Lex didn't become a Bad Guy because he left the toilet seat up. Did he. Not a question.
