I love your take. I was not aware of Polin rant until today that I saw a video attacking his afro as part as a critique of Polin's negativity (really?).
I have the GR III and I really wish I could try the tele converter for portraits… Cropping in on the sensor does not give the same field of view… I am on a mission to find someone with the GR III and tele converter combination
Ideally, when the camera is in ES mode, there is no mirror lock-up sound every time the shutter button (the mirror lock-up sound is only heard when switching modes). So the ES and MS modules are completely separate but both are in one camera, we just have to choose which one best suits the shooting situation.
Yes I got a cp1500 from my work rewards and MAKE SURE YOU GET RP-108 that’s 2 carts for 108 prints. That’s 56 prints per cart. And there is other prints that bring 3 carts. Which seems you’ll get more prints but no. It’s Less prints that’s 36 prints per cart not worth it again GET RP-108 not the KR-108 or whatever. Side note. You can only put 18 prints at a time in the tray. Don’t have to count them they come packaged in 18 divided in 6 packets. That equals 108
These things are not durable. I've gone through 2 of these little printers. The one good thing, when you send it in for repairs, Canon sends you the newer version of the printer (at a discount).
I think there's somethign wrong with my Ricoh GR iiix. It is taking terrible photos! Can someone please look at the sample photos in the short I posted. I need help I spent so much money on this thing!
I have used other small portable printers and they are great to have. I travel the world as a photographer and give out physical pictures to locals and they are so happy, and I come back the next day the people are way more responsive to you taking photos even if they don't get one in return. They take you to places others don't see, or are open to talk. When in Iraq I gave Iraqi soldiers pictures of them in uniform on duty. One of the guys told me a few days later his mother loved the print and he was so grateful for something to give a deeper connection to his family, his mother and wife made me one of my favorite meals and a big hug. Never underestimate the power of a physical photo.
I have this printer and I LOVE it. I use it all the time but I'm thinking about getting rid of it because the ink and paper is getting expensive. It's now $54 CAD per pack but I can go to Staples or something to print for $0.19/each so it's more than double the cost
Couple years ago, I bought a CP800, and I made good money out of it. It was very basic compared to this one but it's basically the same thing. It's great but it's not perfect. The black & white are blueish, and it's not as fast as you'd want it to. It's about 40-50 seconds per pictures. Also, if you get a dust particles on the paper while it's doing it's thing, you will see some funny colors on the picture. For the price it's a no brainer but I'd love to get a inkjet version with the same dimension.
I bought a celphy like 10 years ago don’t remember the model number but it’s the older version of the 1300. It’s awesome for fun printouts during parties and family events
Haha just packed my old cp910 out of the shelf as I saw this videos! Really great actually since I got more professional into photography I think I can use it for my clients. To get the most accurate colors I take the first filter which gives more saturation.
I have the same printer and absolutely love it! When the grandkids and I spend the day together we can come back to the house and immediately print photos of the day and make a scrapbook page before they go home. 😊
Agree about having a fast 4x6 in print in hand, so useful. Though personally I'm sold on the Ecotank printer, super fast, super cheap per photo, glossies are stunning, large, small, dedicated paper tray for 4x6 in paper, mine also prints large super A3 13x19in. Can print wirelessly from a phone. A lot of photographers go for a big fancy multi cartridge pigment inkjet, only to find that it constantly clogs and ink cartridges are really expensive and always running out. So then they get a simple little Selphy like this to take that pain away. I switched from this strategy. With the eco tank if I have the slightest desire for a print I just go do it because it's so cheap and fast it always works and it never clogs and if the ink ever gets low which it hardly ever does you squirt a little more ink from a bottle into the tank. Sure if you need a small portable device like this on a shoot then that's an advantage. But in all other cases give me the eco tank.
