Very impressive! I’ve seen a few of these Tron Legacy deepfakes and this is by far the best. Especially in the scene where the real Jeff Bridges is talking to CLU. Fantstic work.
The theory is, the new max is the kid from thunderdome. The pilot’s kid, the wild boy, the one the original max gave a toy too. Regardless I love this franchise!!! Please make more movies!
The two Tarkins are very close, but the original has a subtle "CGI puppet" look that isn't there on yours. Having said that, the movement/animation seems a little uncanny which the deepfake can't fix. And both Tarkin heads look slightly composited into the scene. As for Leia, when I first saw her I was very confused because I was expecting you to show the original first, so when I saw what I thought was the "original" I was surprised how real it looked. Great job!
I think Tom Cruise would play an younger version of Tony Stark same goes with Optimus Prime from Transformers Animated in revived of Nick Cassateves Iron Man
The first scenes with Tarkin are great but I noticed the second half of Tarkin where there's lots of motion, you can see the problems with the AI Deepfake technology with the motion, especially when he turns around, I think the one odd problem with the deepfake technology is the random "Dead eyes" that pop in and out, sometimes they look like living and breathing people than other times they look like their eyes are off center ever so slightly. But yeah you really fixed Leia, especially her eye placement, and the way you cleaned her face up in the other video with the contrast and brightness just really nailed it.
your problem is youre layering a deep fake cgi effect over another cgi mesh; it will always look un natural because you haven't got the human face movements to work with. it's like photocopying a photocopy.
I have a weird complicated feeling. With all respect to the Tom Hardy and his acting skills, I would really like to see a version with Mel Gibson for the sake of consistency. On another hand from the second movie George Miller turned Max into a legend that people share with one another so basically Max became a "Hero with a Thousand Faces" so he doesn't need to have the same face.
I thought Tom Hardy was excellent in the role. I didn't at first but this great movie takes multiple viewings. I agree with the commenter below: one day you'll be able to plonk any actor you like into any role. Crazy times.
@00:15 You can really see an improvement here. Especially in the nose. This guy's skills are amazing. This isn't just technical ability. He's a real artist.
Harrison Ford wasn't that twitchy. It is not enough to replace the face here. Here it is necessary to change the manner of play. This is not to mention that the replacement of the face is also so-so.
The one major thing this doesn't fix is the movement of Tarkin's mouth. That's tricky stuff, anatomically speaking. This is a definite improvement, though.
