Takeoff the labels, do not divulge the brands, proceed with the video At the end, give the pricing, IT IS ALL ABOUT BRANDING AND MARKETING The incremental difference is not worth the incremental cost for the majority of us mere mortals. Ya?
Wonderful guitars, and amazing playing. I've got this video on rotation, it just sounds so damn good. Of course, when I see a video like this I always am reminded of what a wise man once told me, which is that "it is so much NOT about the gear!" and that is the truth. 99.99% of it is the player, not the guitar.
Just ordered the Bv for the Bigsby and varnish. I agree though, that blonde color is sharp! For me an SG is my P90 machine but that Juliet P90 is a rocker.
Excellent, I sold my expensive digital reverb machine( dba) and this has replaced it. I can get a much more useable ambient reverb just by putting the mix at 12/1 oclock and using the 2 controls with mod-off. Warmer and none of that brittle Digital bite that comes when you use single coils. BtW great for vocals and Drums too!
How about changing the pickups in both guitars say to Texas Specials and comparing...leveling the playing field. Obviously Fender downgrades pickups at price-points.
Honestly it just seems weird to hear even a replica of old black being played in anything other than Neil Young's style not that it sounds bad but I'm so used to hearing old black with Neil's grungy rock and darker blues tones it's not to say that it is limited to just his style but I'm just so used to hearing his signature style from it.
I had a Heritage H530 and loved it. Sadly traded it for a Gibson Les Paul that I never liked as much as the Heritage. Something about those P90's mounted over a hollowbody that really clicked.
The Martin definitely has more low end, which is exactly what I remove when recording or playing live through a PA. If I were playing ONLY acoustically, I'd lean towards the Martin, but for overall use, the Eastman is much easier to work with in the mix.
Taylor lovers ( and 'modern' players) w pick Eastman. Obviously because of the shimmer on top. Hebce all the comments about the Eastman being 'soooo' much better. But it's all in the mids w the J45. And they (still) rule.
Great demo on this beauty. Other demos on this are geared toward jazz of course but hearing this demo really brought it into a new light. Very organic. Thanks again!
Get another fckin job then. We’ve all been there when we were beginners. You obviously hate your job. Probably all butthurt because you never made it big and never will.
"One trick pony" has been mentioned in almost every review of this guitar and this is exactly what they are guys. One pickup is one trick. The other tricks you use on this guitar can be used as well as on the 3 pickup guitar :) These guitars were meant to be simple. You really need to put a lot of effort into changing the way you play to make it sound different. They are much closer to what you get in classical and acoustic guitars - the mysterious "one trick" that is forcing you to use your brain and fingers to make it sound differently :)
