Fun fact, the ABS module in my truck is completely fried. However, since it is unusable, it also flips on my brake light as well even though nothing is actually wrong with my brakes. I have not replaced the module because of the cost, but even with the one time I had to really slam on my brakes they did not lock up at all. I am careful with them regardless though just in case they do end up locking up later on
My dash board was saying change battery in key fob. Tried that. Now the car went from everything turning on and not starting to no lights at all. Is it the car battery? Car struggles to start when it sits for 2-3 days. Door locks barely work either key fob.
, I’m gonna try to fix it tonight, but if the spring and the button on the circuit board piece, falls out can they be put back in or do I need to replace the fob
This is the problem. If you need to look up a video or read a manual to see what the symbol means, the designer didn't do a great job of designing the symbols
i found this video helpful BUT i wanted to say that using the key to separate the two halves at 0:40 does work but only if you be careful to not insert the key very far.
I noticed that when i lock my car with the remote that i am still able to opem the tailgate by pressing the tailgate button and pulling the tailgate. Is that normal?
Totally did find it helpful... I just bought a 2024 Trax, and didn't even know there was a key.... then when I saw someone else show how to use the key, I didn't seem to have them, then I saw this video and realized I have a key in each of the two fobs... lol, thanks.
Amazing after reading all this 3+ yr old news, that GM is still offering this engine. As the exclusive engine in Colorado & Canyon, as well as Cadillac, & still in Silverado & Sierra. Ford began their 2.7 turbo nearly a decade ago, & the 3.5 turbo smokes the 5.0. Ram replaced the hemi V8's w/ a 3.0 I6 hurricane that outperforms. GM doing the same. 2.7 I4 turbo makes 430 low rpm grunty ft lbs of torque compared to 383 ft lbs of torque from antiquated lifter failing V8. Same payload & towing from 2.7 compared to 5.3 for $6k less, (provides 40,000 miles of fuel). Perhaps in 3 more yrs, the wishes for 2.7 turbo to fail will subside, especially after V8's are discontinued.
