only thing i rely on my parents for is being able to live in their house i handle all my own expenses except for health insurance cuz im 23 and im on my dads family plan. and my mom doesnt' mind me living at home saying she likes spending time with me. I am saving up to move out and buy a house tho which my parents are supportive of tho because they want me to set myself up for success financially and they don't believe in renting. but they also don't baby me about it either. my youngest bro they baby a lot but not me. my parents are also aware its a lot harder to move out nowadays then it used to be because adjusted for inflation i make about the exact same as my dad did at 25 (when he had me) and he moved out at 23 (which is how old i currently am) so i'm marginally better off then my dad was at my age income wise, im way way ahead of him in terms of saving and investments cuz i have 40k+ in cash and almost 3k between 401k and roth and counting. yet im still not there yet for moving out. the goal is for 70k to move out. 50k down (20% on a small townhouse) 10k for furniture and 10k for emergencies. because an emergency could happen day 1 of moving out i have to be pepared for the worst. my dad had the same income when he had me as i do now (adjusted for inflation) and i don't even have my own place yet let alone afford a kid
Half of this seems like trolling and the other half sounds somewhat okay. I guess I can't identify with the men this video hopes to help. I moved out at 19. I traversed the country. Relocated across 4 different states. Hit 6 figures in the corporate worked by 24 and now at 29 I have a beautiful traditional wife, An amazing daughter and my parents and family are 2500 miles away. I love my parents but I found a great life in Texas and I'm happy here. Al of my childhood friends still live within a 20 mile radius of our high school. Bunch of pot smoking losers why play 2K all day. I see nothing wrong with video games. I have a series x, but between work and family I doubt I get a solid 5 hours a month. I rather be with my daughter and wife than play hands anyways.
I have three sons, the first is 18, just graduated, the second is 16, an high honors student and the third is almost three. My 18 year old is just as responsible, if not more so than my brother, who is 52 and my uncle who is 63. I am so proud of my sons, My 18 year old spends most of his time working on cars, helping his Grandpa around the house and working, my 16 year old does art and reads most of the time and they are both awesome big brothers to their baby brother. I just want to brag about them.

What about rock band? That video game teaches you about classic rock, music and other types of music and makes you well-rounded and seek out music that you may not of heard of. One of the things I’m in is music and it’s because I listen to a lot of music and people like to talk about music and what they like to listen to.
You should probably mention the most important aspects which are having a schedule with specific achievable goals and avoiding processed foods, carbs, and phthalates.
I’ve hit those marks pretty well except for reading a book a week. I am out and about all the time because I like going to concerts and going out with friends. I’m a social guy. If I do read, I like to read, biographies and nonfiction and learn about people that I admire.
The problem is, back in the 1940s and earlier there was no real concept of the teenager. There was just childhood and adulthood. That’s why you see kids in movies basically dressed as adults when they’re like 12 or 13. Only the youth culture movement of the 50s onward has created the teenager and teenage culture. Hence, nobody wants to look like parents. Why should a guy at age 50 get an old man haircut? Why should a woman at 45 wear long skirts and no longer show off their nice legs?
Im 30 years old and i chose to ignore all women. All they want is men that goes to bars and clubs and expect those men to be great but theyre not. Marriage is pointless today! though. Atleast my credit score is near 800. I guess im not a man child because the only thing on that category i failed at is scared to commiting romantic relationship. I just chose to ignore women. I never even touched a women's hand. So yeah. I gave up on women becausee majority of them want a rapper or guys that likes to go out. Also the video games part make since but its nitpicking. I think spending time on video games should be timed based, meaning learning how to balance your time playing them. I only play them till the weekend now.
I'm 36 and I have a difficult time working with my co-workers that are younger than me. They quit WAY too fast and are almost always on their phone 🤳. They also love to trauma brag. It's crazy.

Hmm let’s see, young men in the West: - are heavily taxed to death if they work a 9-5 (which most of them do) - are repeatedly told by society they aren’t valuable - have to deal with b1tchy, mentally ill western w0m3n - have to deal with skyrocketing costs of living - have to input far more effort than previous generations for worse results - are given bad or outdated advice by older generations. When they apply it in today’s world, they wonder why it doesn’t work for them The reason young men aren’t growing up are mechanical and economic in nature. If society devalues young men, young men will tear society down
It's pretty simple, young men used to have to grow up to get a woman. It really was that simple. Now, with nearly all of young men addicted to porn and chilling in their parents basement with their videogames they have no reason to grow up anymore.
I play video games but it ain't that. I stay with my grandmother to build up money. I have a good decent job and a kick ass car but the houses here is ridiculous. An average job ain't even enough today.
@Herozonex200 videogames can be deadly addicting, so I commend you on only playing casually. Sadly you are a minority of the young men out here. Most of these guys have no goals of ever leaving home and are perfectly happy where they are because they have everything they need.
. Historically men did not leave the family untill he was married and starting his own. To this day the majority's of countries including all spanish speaking countries men stay at home untill there married and having kids. It is bizarre that anyone thinks its a good idea for you to deliberate abandon your family so you can live alone and come home to an empty house. You need to educate yourself about history.
I like everything about Jordan Peterson, but you are completely out of touch with the problems of young men today. The dating problems of young men today are the dating problems of all men today. It’s the dating problems of black men and white men and Hispanic men. The problem in society is not political. The problem today is we have given women the tools to destroy society. I just want to make another recommendation for men in the 18 to 25 age group: put a small portion of your salary into safe savings accounts and stocks/bonds beginning at the age of 20. Leave the money in these safe savings accounts for 20 or more years and by the age of 40, you’ll be on your way to creating wealth.
