Manila can get too hot for foreigners. Best to visit a few shops with air-conditioning, as you walk. Nighttime is a bit cooler so less chance of heat stroke.
No way is BGC food better than Bangkok and I am Filipino American. There's no remote comparison. Bangkok is top 5 in the world (even better than NYC where I am from), BGC barely has any good food chains, street food, brands or Michelin Bib Gourmand or Star restaurants. whereas they are literally on every corner in Bangkok.
Saying another culture's food should be avoided is incredibly insensitive and disrespectful. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but there are better ways to word things.
As a Filipino I was amaze how the Philippines economic and tourism growth in the 10 to 20 yrears...but I also wish and hope that our culture, tradition and being a hospitable people will remain intact and continue to be nourish in the next generations to come!
Odds are that yte ppl will exploit and capitalize on your country and culture for themselves, and then destroy the humans by taking your children (for humanitarian reasons of course) and exploit their parents. Its their nature.
Not unlikely combo. Bangkok is the most visited city on earth and there are hundreds of thousands of Western expats that live there with tens of millions of people from around the world visiting at all times. It is an extremely cosmopolitan city no different than NYC, London or Tokyo. It's one of the first places that I would expect good burgers, especially given how proficient Thai cooks are - they can literally cook any cuisine well.
The chicken roll wrap used to be much better than this. It was bigger and some salad stuffing inside what does chicken fillet, but Thai people don't eat the wrap. That's why the portion is so small right now. I'm so sad that I don't sell the real proper chicken wrap anymore.
