The absolute genius of this try, though, was when he ran infield straight at their fly-half _to give himself room to sidestep back outside_ - he'd already planned it and his brain was over the try-line before that guy even thought about tackling him. That kind of nouse is so rare on the field.
I was on a Qantas flight from Auckland to Los Angeles on the night this game was played. In the morning, the captain came on the intercom and reported that Australia had won. A New Zealand passenger was heard to mutter that if the All Blacks had won we would never have heard about it.
