please tell me if i've downloaded this mode but i don't know how to get it to play with a controller because it's just playing with keyboard ???????????
I think I already answered in my previous comment but sure, currently classic rebirth patch is a way to go to best experience DC2. It will work on sourcenext version though not the USA release. You can easily find it online. And HD mod when ready, will be supported with it :)
So you're saying that I can download (sourcenext) and then mix it up with (rex-hd) and right then I can play it with the controller. ok, then can you send the (sourcenext)link cus I searched for I and couldn't find it.

@@sklip3419 Thank you ✨ and Yes! it was my first capcom game and it's dearest to me. So I'll try to make it best looking possible while preserving the original presentation. I hope everyone will try it once and play this masterpiece again 😊
Wow, im currently playing DC2 on my Psp and somehow i came across a remake ! So searching on youtube and see this recent progress ! Whenever its fully done, how do i get access !? 😃
I'm not blown away. I felt it deserved more of a reimagining than a remaster. Newer, more expansive areas, for example. And better dialogue (the Cobra unit don't half talk some shite).
I agree with you. The graphics look great but some areas could have been expanded. For example, the lab in which Sokolov is being held (Rassvet) looks like a run down shed. I think there is a lot of potential. The base at bolshaya could also need some love
@@LaughingMantis I think they're gonna improve upon many other aspects of the game along with the details and controls since it's being developed in-house with UE5 with the guidance of original staff
Yeah, I'm aware of that bug. Currently the modloader is only compatible with the USA release. I've mentioned this with teamx (the creator of the modloader) as I'm working on textures and stuff. Rest assured it will be updated to work with the REbirth patch & the texture pack as well.
Backgrounds are around 50% fully finalized. Fmvs are 80% done and Character textures are 30% completed. I assume It will take sometime to get everything ready for release.
@@LayGoTL I assume you're referring to installing of the mod then yes you need to extract it in the game directory where dino2.exe is and it will work given you have the USA version.
I managed to install and run the game on Windows 10 using dgVooDoo2. From what I understand, I just have to get the mod files and copy them to the game folder, but after I do that, the game no longer works. What do I have to do or what would I be doing wrong? I noticed that if I remove "libpng16.dll" from the game folder, an error message appears, but the game works again.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I can't for the life of me get the preview mod to work. Both on US and Japanese copies of the game, they crash on startup with the mod installed. dgvoodoo2 ddraw doesn't really fix it either. I've tried getting multiple copies of the game from different sources and nothing changed. They all crash on startup with the mod installed. The game runs fine on its own though. It should be obvious because of the instructions but I guess I'm too stupid.
Yeah refresh rate is prime factor here. For 60hz 30fps rtss limiter is pretty smooth. Also, sometimes turning on half refresh rate vsync and triple buffering at the same time will introduce noticeable high input latency. You can easily find it when playing with mouse n kb. It'll be better if let the vsync work normally and then enable triple buffer + rtss limiter for super smooth gameplay
well i play genshin impact on 36 fps at 70hz with triple buffering + 1/2 refresh rate and pre rendered frames set to 3 and yeah i know it will introduce input lag but in my case its like 0.5ms late also it is based on your mouse dpi and polling rate IMO, i set my dpi to 4000 and polling rate to 1000hz and the result is there is no any noticable input lag, i made too much experiment on my settings and i know how effective it is.
You need a powerful card to sync to that refresh rate ie, 144fps to look smooth. Also half refresh rate ie, 72fps is pretty demanding too. Best option is forcing vsync in nvidia inspector and change refresh rate and fps to a lower value that your monitor supports. Anything closer to 60hz~100hz will feel noticeably smoother
Looks good but something still looks a little off to me. I think its the character motions, they could definetly use some polishing, otherwise a lot of improvement from what i initially saw
The animations and some of the character models definitely feels inferior to original. I really wish they would treat it like MGS delta but no. It's bloober team so unless they listen to fan feedback I don't think it's gonna go well
animations look horrendous for 2024 standard. and devs still can't get the lighting of blonde hair right and it ends up looking looking bright for no reason
Animations looks straight up bad even by 2000s standards. If only they would've used fraction of team force to work on animations same as graphics, things would be promising. Oh, and the spoiled characters lol it's just another agenda politics game. Will be skipping it just like every bloober titles.
Yes it is the end goal. Currently it is in progress and more backgrounds are being updated. Final version will be fully compatible with Classic REbirth patch. Stay tuned.
@@eduardoroberto7599 I already have. Menus and movies are now high definition. Only remaining ones are the credits and that e3 trailer which requires recording gameplay and that will be done when the project is complete. Character /enemies / UI will be remastered as well once the modloader gets updated to have that functionality enabled.
@@solidfiregaming Wow it's going to be really good!!!!! I can't wait, looking forward to the result, thank you very much for doing this project for us.
Nice work! Some monitor screens or posters appear "different" from the original. For instance, at 1:28 the screens don't seem to match exactly. Similarly, at 1:34 some posters differ as well, as do those at 1:40 (It's not criticism; just something I noticed). Did you manage to find higher resolution versions of these screens/posters and replace them, or did you use AI to recreate them? Nevertheless, great job! I'm eager to see the final results. Thanks for your hard work
Glad that you noticed! Yes, the monitor screens are originally available in higher resolution in some of the backgrounds so I took them, upscaled them and scaled it back to fit in the image appropriately. They're exactly how they're supposed to be in the original. The flyers, posters and Robson store logo etc are the ones I created manually to fit with the upscaled backgrounds seamlessly. There are tons of such edits in every stage to ensure that immersion is preserved and everyone can focus on gameplay experience exactly as they remember.
Dude this is LEGENDARY!!! they look so good. There's none of the typical "wobbly" look u get this AI upscaling. u did a great job. i want to ask, with the recent release of the gemini's classic rebirth patch for DC2, will this ever be compatible?
Thanks a lot. And yes, I'm aware that it's currently not compatible with Classic REbirth patch but we are working as a team to make everything work together and the patch is still work in progress so things like that is expected. Rest assured once updated everything will work seamlessly.
