This is so real.. At 0:51 you see on left, vertical sign (larco) if I’m not mistaken the sign vertical (villa nova) it’s hard to read, in between Larco and Bank of America sign would become the (rainbow bar n grill) within the next couple of years. Probably 1969 or 70? This is so Adam 12. Back then, the idea was every time you see teenagers pull over quick, get out start chasing through alleys, peeping every window.. Ordinary corrupt human degenerates
My step dad used to work at McInerny / Liberty House as a tailor, and he use to tailor for Jack Lord. My little brother fell in that koi fish pond at Ala Moana. 🤭

I was at secondary school in 1967. I did not know then but I now realise that PC was awfully close to the infamous red light district of London. Not really suitable for a child so my parents (they were quite strict) never took me there. Ah! :)
I came to Honolulu in 1984 as a teenager.....I loved Ala Moana back then.....still had mom and pop stores there.....there was an old and pretty big five and dime store there that had dusty shelves etc......miss the more simple times and not the fancy stores that charge $10,000 per square foot to rent...

I miss Hong Kong very much! Old or new. I grew up in Hong Kong throughout the 1950s and 1960s and left for the U.S. since 1969. I have been back to visit a few times and can't wait to go back to visit again.
