Hiya mate three drivers have just quit on the spot and I’m a skip driver I’ve never driven one of these before and am getting forced to drive with no experience so thanks for the video
I'm having a weird issue at the minute where I was driving massive trucks in the army for 8 years, yet still being called a new pass because I've just finished my CPC. The amount of bs driving agencies on indeed is nuts too. Must have applied at 15 different ones in a week. It's stupid...
Thanks Jay appreciate that! And I've been banned for the last 2 years (I'm very honest 😅🤦) been recovering my physical and mental health so been quiet on the channel but yes I will be back 100% making car bike and truck content hope to speak soon pal all the best 🤘
Thankyou... I got knocked off Royal Enfield all new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 recently....the salvage people have given me two choices...A almost £3k cheque plus salvage bike cat N or option B almost £3k from 3rd party plus around £1k from the Salvage co....the local dealer made it safe in his opinion before the insurance assessors saw the bike... Thanks again for your video....
It sounds like it's cheaper for the insurance companies to pay me the money rather than have the bike properly repaired... The dealer is calling me tomorrow so perhaps he can give some clarity...
Passed class 2 last week start skip lorry on Monday. Moneys good, 2 weeks training and away I go, not worried about the driving of lorry more so about getting them skips on small drive ways now 😂
Morning guys sorry I've been so quiet on the channel I've had some personal stuff to sort out thankyou for your patience! And personally I found my gsxr to be priced the same as other non damaged bikes I'd quoted for so I wouldn't worry about the insurance being higher on a repaired bike that's a non structural repair
Just came across this channel and watched until he starting moaning and saying ‘ I’ve got some old man coming over to mither me’ that was it, I un-subscribed from the channel . Who the #### does he think he his, the cocky f#####.
Great video mate, im contemplating doing the class 2 training. I grew up watching my dad driving class 1 being in the cab with him on tippers etc. I am a plasterer 17 yrs in but the graft is no joke and im getting abit tired of it. All the best from a fellow Manc, keep up the good work💪🏻
Hi mate thankyou for your kind comment, going with the old fella definitely rubs off on most of us haha! I understand about your change of career and I'll be shooting more hgv content soon so please make sure you subscribe (it's free) and like and comment please all helps me build the channel and share my knowledge on cars bikes and trucks! All the best bud speak soon 👍
Hi bud thanks for your question! In the time I've been away from wagons I've applied myself to a course where I've learned how to make money online around my passions and interests! I probably won't ever drive for a company again but I have always dreamt of owning my own unit for shows so we will see what the future brings! I hope your well bud and have a great Xmas and New Year
Glad to hear that you’re making money around your passion and interest. I wish you the best in your future endeavours. Happy Christmas and a happy new year to you mate.
Morning bud! Congrats on the pass that's massive!!! I have a video on the channel for anyone who maybe struggling to get their 1st HGV job if you want to check that out? Personally I applied to all the companies local to me and stayed consistent until I got hired. You will get hired eventually however some companies can't take young drivers (under 30s or 25s) due to insurance and some may want experience however I have got a job with a company that wanted experience when I had none by being eager and showing willingness hope this helps bud! All the best with your new career 😁
Good to see you back on mate, great cause you are backing having had my ups and downs with MH, I've just acquired my Class 2 license although it's a struggle getting taken on as a new pass. p.s did you delete the video as to why you lost your license? I was looking for it but couldn't find it, I vaguely remember why.
Hey bud! Thankyou for the kind words, I realised that this is what I enjoy doing and I let poor MH pull me away from that, I've struggled most of my life but losing the license was the icing on the cake. Congrats on passing your test mate that's massive! You may struggle a little at first but if you dig your heels in and be consistent and positive you'll get a job driving a wagon somebody will take you on! Don't be disheartened mate there's a reason for everything, I've found often in life there's usually 5-10 no's before you get a yes 🙃 and yeah I deleted the video as alot of viewers said fair play for being honest and it's a shame what's happened however a select few decided to take it into their own hands to try and sabotage all my videos with not very nice comments etc and I let it get the better of me won't be happening again 😤 I'll have the video up of the new Yamaha R1 later today 👌 onwards and upwards bud, if you ever need help or advice you can reach me on here or at @dsjmoto on Instagram many thanks bud have a great Monday!!!! 💥
Great message, I can support that as well 100%! Very happy you will be back with the original driving content! :) Meanwhile I got bus licence, gonna be a year next month, lovin' this! Pet that little fella from me haha. Stay safe my man. :)
Thanks for the kind message and congrats on your bus license 😁 and it fly's by doesn't it! Had I not have got in trouble I would have been driving wagons over 5 years now 🙃 and I've give Ed a fuss for you pal 🤣 I called him "ed" for short because he's naughty can you guess the first part of his name? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
zzr 600 part 2 got sideond by a jeep he never looked twice it was wrote off by his insurance the fairing is damaged front half so removed it can I still insurance the bike if I fix it up myself with straight bars new lights and indicators like if street fighter the front half haven't a clue which cat write off it was but the bike is 100% mechanically perfect bar the fairing what way does it work out with insurance 🏍️🙏
Hey bud sorry for the late reply I didn't see your comment 🙃 if the bars were bent etc I'd repair it and then have it checked over by a garage or even get it checked by VOSA that way it's guaranteed and would help with a sale in the future. If it's only cosmetic damage and you only need to replace fairings/lights etc then get it fixed and back on the road 👌
Hi, please call Rader international 0161-877-1580 ask for Ryan and quote DSJ-MOTO and we will be happy to help! We are UK based however we also offer international services if your not in the UK alternatively you can go over to Rader-international.com and obtain a quote via email many thanks
If you have a manual only car license you can still drive a truck, most trucks are auto nowadays anyway! If you only have an auto car license you can still do your test but you'd only be permitted to drive automatic trucks hope this helps bud!
I'm no longer driving wagons bud, working with cars again at the moment alongside building an online business so that one day in the near future I won't have to have a day job 👌
Been considering getting my class 2 at Stockport LGV like you, your videos have been a great help and helped me decide I'm doing the right thing, cheers mate.
I’m having training tomorrow doing this job with my local council. Usually I drive a Dennis auto bin truck. The truck I’ll be using tomorrow will be an 8 speed split box. My question is I’ll be picking bins up from my local council recycling tip. How far back do you reverse so the bin doesn’t catch the wall you’ve reversed up to
Hi bud, always give yourself space, so shunt away from the wall then eject the bin then when the front of the bin is about a foot off the floor you can reverse back pushing the bin with your hook and use your mirrors to guide you, if your still not sure just get out walk to the back and have a check always worth a check if your not 100%. If your talking about lifting a full bin up then back up to the bin, lift a foot or two off the floor then shunt forward and drag the bin until your sure you will avoid contact with the wall. Always make sure you have a walk around after you've pulled bin out and check for any shite stuck in the back door or hanging over the sides it's always better to check it on the floor still rather than up on the wagon 👍 when you've first hooked up make sure the hook is properly under the lifting bar of the bin and take it easy on the corners in roll n offs mate they're very top heavy won't be like the bin wagon hope this helps bud all the best for tomorrow 💯👍
@@dsjmoto724 absolutely amazing run through bud. I’m glad now I’ve got something to fall back on. I’ve just screen shot your advice and I’m sure it will go ok. I’ve driven 18 ton skip trucks before for cherry hill skip here in Chesterton Staffs and had to get used to reversing up to houses and peoples walls to lower the skip over onto the garden, it’s just something new and thought I’d ask for advice to have a heads up on what to do. I’ll let you know how I go on. It’s an extra thing I can say I can do and it’s overtime as well over the weekends 👍👍
Bought a zzr 600 02 needs a tidy up but a nice bike last week still waiting on the logbook and the seller won’t answer calls or texts the prick now have to go through the hassle of getting a new one b4 I can drive it on the road
No good that is it mate 🙃 always get Messer's unfortunately but hope you enjoy the bike once youve got your logbook back can't wait to get back on the road myself 🫡
Great video mate, just passed my class 2 today! Can't wait get on road... As new driver is hard to get job due being a new driver to the industry? Cheers 👍🏼
Your very welcome mate I'll be making some more content this weekend so keep your eyes out bud! I wish you all the best with your new career very exciting times bud!!!!
Yeah I'm in this boat, was absolutely chuffed to bits to have passed my class 2 3 months ago and couldn't wait to get behind the wheel!! I've contacted absolutely loads of transport companies now, and all I'm getting is NOPE!! It doesn't even get to my age or the fact I'm a newbie. No one is hiring!! I'm beginning to wish I hadn't have bothered with getting my license because I really didn't think it would be this hard to get a job!! Especially when I'm reading that there's a shortage!! What shortage!! I really want tipper work, but they're all saying the same thing, we're not hiring at the moment but we don't take on new drivers anyway!! So what I'd like to know is, how the hell do you get tipper experience if no tipper company Will take you on??? It's just utterly ridiculous and very frustrating!! The other frustrating thing is that I'm 43 and used to go all over the country with my old man in his tipper truck, he taught me everything I need to know about the job. But this means absolutely nothing to new employers!
Hi Richard, congrats on passing your test bud! It can be really frustrating trying to find work as a newer driver especially after you've forked out. This time of year is quiet on tippers , my old fella does class1 tippers at the moment and isn't getting as much work as usual. If the tipper game is chocka in your area then maybe try something else just to get your foot in the door? What area are you in I may know some companies?
@@RogalShaun it certainly is mate! We need to stick together in this world and I......I need to stick keckle on 😂 I'll post up a catch-up vid today and then get into the good stuff 🤘 got a t4 camper conversion/ a full Yamaha yzf250 build and a shite load of dos and donts for HGV driving 😂🤘
Happy new year my friend 🎉have my rigid license cpc taco cards the lot passed 8 -9 months ago still can’t get a job over no experience what should I be looking into as an easy starter job that I might get me on the road🇮🇪👍or would I be better off going for the artic full
Happy new year bud! Congrats on the pass!!!! And I'd recommend trying to get into waste for the time being. I've always been able to get into recycling jobs fairly easy even in the early days with little to no experience. Try tipper companies aswell that move muck, if your close to Manchester try pp o Connor they give driver training before they let you out on your own. Great company to work for in my opinion 👍 and passing your full class1 could benefit you but then again you could land in the same pot with not having experience. Be persistent and consistent ring around leave your number and you'll get a job driving it's just alot of companies can't/won't pay premiums for younger/less experienced drivers I've been told. Wish you all the best with it mate I'll be putting some more content up soon had a really shitty 2022 if I'm honest I'm unable to drive myself for the time being 😭 totally unrelated but I'll explain all in the new content nice to hear from you all the best for 2023 👌👍
I'd say stay away from the bin wagons if they're modern ones with side loading - if you move the wagon forwards when the lads have their arms inside they'll be a bit unhappy - stupid design, should just load from the rear, much less dangerous.
Easy Mitch im surviving pal how about you? And im making some content at the moment it's took a while for me to figure out the best way to break the news 🤣 but I've been doing some training in the back ground so all will be revealed in my next vid it was nice to meet you mate and I hope your well 🤘
