I am a geologist by profession and training. This is an educational channel devoted mostly to spread of geological knowledge, but also partly covers my hobbies in the fields of astronomy, science and technology. I wish to thank all of you who subscribed and watched my videos. I will continue to grow this channel with your support and patronage. This channel has changed over the last few years. I am now steering toward Geology, Astronomy and Technology with round the clock reporting of Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Astronomical Events including Comets and Meteorites. I will still have content relating to Allotment Gardening, No Dig Method, Organic Life-style and Environment from our Hertfordshire Allotment Life. Occasionally I will have funny contents with my typical sense of humour, which I hope you will enjoy :)

Cheers
Dr AstroGeoTech (Doc)

You can support my work through RU-vid's Thanks or membership of the channel. There are buttons under every video for this.

I thought the same as you. The 10 and the 25 mm eyepieces that come with the Evostar 90 are really good and I think they were made for the telescope. I have those 2 eyepieces as well as the Sky watcher ultra wide 15mm and 20, I have their 9mm and 6mm Plossl planetary eyepieces and I have the Nirvana 7mm and Explore Scientific 4.5 52 degree eyepiece. I don't need the 15. And 20 ultra wide as the ones that come with the Evostar are so good. Easy to waste money on expensive eyepieces for little if any gains

I think I was starting to read the UK and USA astronomy forums when I put aside these light weight and superb eyepieces and started spending lots of money on expensive eyepieces! Lessons learned and that was the time I made this video to rediscover the beauty of the simple eyepieces !

I expect it to become more active since Mt Etna erupted. With our Sun becoming more active, our Earth also REACTS! I've been watching for several years. Thank you for your reports! It's important!!❤

I thought nature might take a breath and take it a bit easy but at the moment it looks like she means business and wants to keep up the work and renew the land and expand it into the sea. Good on our mother. I hope the Icelanders did not leave it too late to work on a backup for the power plant.

Is Iceland one big super volcano? Is that even possible? I ask because there are so many eruptions all over and doesn't look like there's and end yet. Praying for the people of Iceland.

What I've noticed with these pseudoscientific doomsday cults is that they love a good story that has an appealing narrative to it. Like you say, the world (to them) just has to end soon because they don't want to get up for work on monday morning.

The Svartsengi inflation rate has increased since their last update. This should change our perception of how this event is going to unfold. We need to be aware though that this can change. I got used to a certain pattern of behaviour. Our world is changing, at least on the surface near Grindavik.

A concise summary of the recent excitement. The crack was staggering to my eyes. I hope everyone is safe although I am saddened by the interruptions in peoples lives. Watching the growth of a land mass is fascinating to observe by way of the Dr.s time lapse videos. It like peeking a view oof geological time sped up.❤
