Testing Skywatcher Super MA 25 And 10 mm Eyepieces On Planet Jupiter

Here I have tested Skywatcher Evostar 90 telescope with the supplied Super 25mm and 10mm eyepieces on Jupiter. To my surprise they win over Televue Panoptic 24mm & Nagler 7mm. My test show Evostar 90 is optimised for 10mm and 8mm eyepieces. Only Starguider ED 8mm was better than Super 10.
In making this video I have used these optical instruments :
Skywatcher Evostar 90mm achromatic refractor telescope.
Skywatcher Super Wide Angle Long Eye Relief 25mm and 10mm 52° eyepieces.
Skywatcher Nirvana 4mm and 7mm 82° eyepieces.
Televue Panoptic 24mm 68° eyepiece.
Televue Nagler 7mm Typ1 Original 82° eyepiece.
BST Starguider ED 8mm eyepiece.
Skywatcher 2X Barlow lens.
Seben 2X Barlow lens.
Vixen SLV 5mm 52° eyepiece.
SkyTee-2 Alt Azimuth mount.
Pop up privacy tent to shield against light pollution.
Huawei P30 Pro mobile phone camera.

I thought the same as you. The 10 and the 25 mm eyepieces that come with the Evostar 90 are really good and I think they were made for the telescope. I have those 2 eyepieces as well as the Sky watcher ultra wide 15mm and 20, I have their 9mm and 6mm Plossl planetary eyepieces and I have the Nirvana 7mm and Explore Scientific 4.5 52 degree eyepiece. I don't need the 15. And 20 ultra wide as the ones that come with the Evostar are so good. Easy to waste money on expensive eyepieces for little if any gains

I think I was starting to read the UK and USA astronomy forums when I put aside these light weight and superb eyepieces and started spending lots of money on expensive eyepieces! Lessons learned and that was the time I made this video to rediscover the beauty of the simple eyepieces !
