Reborn, Rejuv, Radical Red, Insurgence, Unbound, Glazed, Infinite Fusion, AlteRed, they're all great games and deserve every bit of the praise they get, but ffs, every ROM Hack/FG video on RU-vid is the same thing, it's always just those. The marquee ones that 95% of us have already played, watched a playthrough of, or have at least heard of. This video alone introduced me to five that I've never heard anything of or about. Seriously, thank you. And please do continue with this series, it's brilliant.
I've just met you and I'm loving your videos. I'm looking for a pokemon fan made game where you can be something else besides a trainer, like pokemon godra. I would like to see more games like that (my dream is to be a contestant like Dawn or May)
I take objection with the opening statement. Pokemon's plot was never stellar, but it's gotten severely worse in recent gens. How you gonna say the "we dont like school" kids is an improvement, then show the team magma's global climate manipulation as an example of a boring one? tsk tsk. (I like your recommendations though. I found Ashen Frost through you which is my fav pokemon fan game ever so ty :P) For real though the thing I'm most salty about is the catastrophic dive in soundtrack quality. Some of the new songs are just insultingly bad. :_:
Imagine a pokemon game with a naruto re skin. physical is taijutsu. special is Ninjutsu. Status moves are Genjutsu. types are Chakra types. It can be done
Congrats on the sponsor, Ayrei! Sorry about all the people who just think nintendo goes after every single game with "catching" as an option lol, must be tiring. Will keep an eye on the game, it looks cozy!
Pokemon Rejuvenation was the fangame that got me to really fan out and explore a bunch of others afterwards, and it's the one I keep coming back to. Takes everything good from Reborn's mechanics, exploration, and QoL and builds on it with, in my opinion, an even stronger cast, writing, and story. It was super vindicating to hear you give it praise, firstly as my personal favorite game and secondly because I could definitely feel the same spirit in Vanguard so far, just more nascent. Looking forward to updates from both games!
Love this game's visuals! Having the overworlds feel like a streamlined version of the first 2 gens of Pokemon is just what I want out of a homage like this. I'm hoping the combat does something different than just the single battles we're used to. A game with a healthy amount of multi battles peppered around or some sort of way the stats work different than in Pokemon would make this my ideal monster training game! Can't wait to try it out!!
@@ayrei1503 yeah its the patent they filed for throwing an object in a 3d space at another object on the 3d space, a patent they filed in march this year way after the release of palworld.
I've been thinking about getting into Rejuvenation for a little bit. The last fan game i tried, while challenging and creative, was missing in the story department for me. And the sheer accessibility of PokeRouge is very appealing for travel. Thanks for the recommendations!
I don't really buy many games (esp creature collectors, what with all the fan projects), but man this developers IMPECCABLE choice of sponsor means this is going on the wishlist for sure.
@@Mojaveknight17 Every single person on the internet knows about that game, not to mention it's a survival crafting game not really a creature collector (unless you count ARK as a creature collector lol).
This is my first sponsored video, so I want to say that I'm going to do my best to only take full video sponsorship offers from trustworthy individuals and things related to my channel. I have followed this game's creator for almost a year now, and all of their content is very well presented and of good quality.
*casually side eyes at Nintendo Japan doing some funky legal stuff around Pokémon* man I hope the these roms get to stay up and not poofed due to legal issues (this is genuine I do actually hope no legal issues arise for these creators)
This is a great idea for a series! I feel like there are a lot of people who play fangames who don't know where to find them or will just play the first ones that come up. This series does a great job making lots of games more accessible to the playing community! Great video and I can't wait to see more of this series!
