More rejuvenation love is always appreciated. For my money the best aspect is actually the main group (MC/Melia/Ren/Venam/etc), unlike basically almost every other pkmn fangame, It actually made the main cast feel like actual friends. And then the trauma sets in. So much trauma.
Yeah I do really like how they aren't just your rivals who show up to battle you or whenever something super important happens. They act how normal friends would
Rejuvenation representation, let's go! Devs absolutely love teasing us with potential news and updates but the game is so good i don't have the strength to tear myself away from it.
Rejuvenation, Reborn, Desolation are absoulte best type of fangames imo..thats why i loved vanguard..Pokemon Infinity, Solar light lunar dark, uranium, unbound also are so much fun..
@@electroelysium2281 ty for the info, would this order be correct in your opinion- 1. reborn insurgence unbound deso 5.rej plan to knock out all 5 this winter ty
@@Kevin-vh6nn I would put Them in this order personally : 1. Insurgence 2. Rejuvenation 3. Unbound 4. Reborn 5. Desolation Technically speaking, if Pokémon FLUX was 100% done it would be #1 or #2. Also, Desolation would be Higher as well if it was finished.
@@electroelysium2281 You're the best, just downloaded insurance 5 mins ago, I'll start that today... currently playing pokemon infinity and really liking that, also have to finish playing platinum!!! Haha almost done with that Pokemmo is great but sadly I don't have enough time to play it anymore, heck pokemon live takes up 30 mins of my day everyday... Thanks bud, insurance looks to be real fun and slightly twisted
It's been a long time since I've heard someone talk about Rejuvention. It, and its sister game Reborn, are my favorite fan games personally. Thanks for bringing Rejuvenation back into some light for people who maybe haven't heard of it :)
Rejuvenation I think really does steal the spot for the best fangame, even if Infinite Fusion is incredibly done, alongside PokeRogue, I do think Rejuvenation just outshines them enough.
@ratpee-gt2ehit’s not necessary, there is a couple references to reborn here and there but nothing major to require playing it. Rejuvenation is definitely my favorite fan game so you should really give it a shot
I believe Pokémon reborn is a better game than rejuvenation solely because the story is complete. Rejuvenation on the other hand has a lot of QoL changes that really help you know what’s going on. I got stuck quite a bit on reborn because I didn’t know where to go. The thing that rejuvenation and reborn do just as well as each other though, is the story. Both games truly make you care about the characters and you would go out of your way to keep them safe.
Great list! Rejuvenation is definitely in my top 3 for sure. Recently played Vanguard and really enjoyed that as well! The fangame community is in great hands.
I feel like every recent comment I've had on this channel relates to pokemon rejuvenation lol. I can definitely say that it's my favourite fangame and that it's incredibly well made. But I think that infinite fusion probably has a more broad appeal to the general pokemon audience.
I’ve been having a blast with Pokemon crystal clear. At the moment it’s my favorite fan game I’ve played. It remixes crystal by allowing you create a character sprite, choose region, choose starter, and many more. It’s undoubtedly the best way to play classic gbc Pokemon.
I tend to play a fangame once and never touch it again. Maybe a second play through if I really liked it. Infinite Fusion however, is always a game I will come back to and play cuz its just so fun to fuse everything. They keep adding features too, very excited to be able to start in Johto in the future!
I can see why people don't get appealed by something like Radical Red: it is a game that is mostly centered towards competitive, but I'd be lying if I said I had no fun playing it so many times.
Doing my first rejuvenation run after being in the reborn community since the start. Rejuvenation is the best pokemon game I have ever ahed. The art and music production rivals many serious companies, there are events I never thought possible in a pokemon game.
Nice Video! 7:45 Thanks Bro😂❤ My Comment under your post was meant as a joke, but yes I like insurgence the most. I agree with your list and understand your argumentation, but I personally dont like pokerogue and Im a big fan of rejuvenation. Everyone has his own taste and everyone like different fangames but I think its important to respect everyones opinion.
Of course I respect everyone's opinion, I just think these ones are the most innovative and impressive while staying accessible and enjoyable to a wide audience
@@ayrei1503 reborn started off ok but the gore prawn scaled exponentially right after the champion hydreigon scene (you prob know what I'm referring to but youtube will most likely delete comment if I use violent words), so at that point it was far too distasteful and edgy for my liking
Rejuvenation took everything good about Reborn and ditch the somewhat dated aesthetic and overly "edgy" storyline and characterization. The characters are fleshed out, fun, and make the world feels way more interesting
THANK YOU FOR ADDING REJUV i recently completed the karma files and OH MY GOD ITS SO FRICKING GOOD,I USED SOOOOOOOO MANY MONS WHICH I DIDNT EVEN THINKKK I WOULD BE USING
I haven't played Rejuvenation in years because I struggled on it way too much and dropped it, so hearing about the passwords system being a thing makes me want to go back to it This is a really good and interesting list!!
Just to add, they've also done a massive rebalance of the game, gotten rid of the hardest difficulty and made the old casual mode into a proper story mode more in line with the standard games.
@@ricardocarvalho9283 nah man, some battles are just actual BS. That battle with flying type gym leader for example, the sky field is just busted for his team. Not to mention when a dev found out people changed the field into mountains and then caves to make the fight easy they changed it so that you have to use smack down twice to change the field.
Here's a list I do suggest to you, with insane addictive stories: * Pokemon Vanguard * Pokemon ReUnion * Pokemon Flux * Pokemon Empyrean * Pokemon Opalo * Pokemon Reminiscencia
* I made that game lol * Doesn't look interesting to me (the maps look very bland) * Played the demo already, it was pretty good * It was okay * One of my worst experiences with a fangame * I like this one a lot!
@@ayrei1503 oh shit lol ahahaaaha I didn't even notice it was you... I f*cking love your game 😅 question; I've noticed it was "completed" so do you plan to make a Vanguard 2 or another one?

Rejuvenation is the only pokemon game I have replayed over 6 times now. and I have at least 200 hours on each savefile. There is always so much to do, and yes v13 intense mode was an absolute nightmare, I still had a lot of fun with the difficulty of some fights (*cough cough* SAKI GLITCH FIELD MEGA AGGRON AND MEGA METAGROSS*)). It has become a lot easier now with v13.5, but by no means has it become any less enjoyable. I hope more people play this amazing game.
Currently playing Rejuvenation after playing Reborn (Reborn is also 10/10 imo) and it's amazing. I had tons of fun playing Reborn with the difficult battles and elaborate puzzles and heard from the community that Rejuvenation is (arguably) even better. I'm just at the beginning of the game but it's already endless joy and joyful frustration.
Pokemon Rejuvenation was the fangame that got me to really fan out and explore a bunch of others afterwards, and it's the one I keep coming back to. Takes everything good from Reborn's mechanics, exploration, and QoL and builds on it with, in my opinion, an even stronger cast, writing, and story. It was super vindicating to hear you give it praise, firstly as my personal favorite game and secondly because I could definitely feel the same spirit in Vanguard so far, just more nascent. Looking forward to updates from both games!
I 100% agree with Rejuvenation. A little sad that they removed intense mode as in my opinion it was the best way to play the game (for people that like the grind). Haven’t gotten to 13.5 yet, hopefully it fixes a lot of the problems with 13. Amazing video.
I really love Pokemon Reborn and a newer Pokemon Fangame called "Pathways". Sadly Pokemon Fangames isnt even near to be finished but all I can say is that in a few years this game will be cooking. Anyways its a W list and imma start playing Rejuvenation because of you.
I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on Pokemon Xenoverse actually? The cutaway to Xenoverse after saying "just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good" leads me to believe you're not particularly fond of the game? I loved it to bits, even thought it would make the list (though I don't have much problem with the games that did make it) simply because of how polished and well made it was, so I was kind of surprised to see that little cutaway lol
I think it's a very impressive game but somewhat overrated. I do eventually want to make an honest but respectful review of it, so I'll save my opinions for that
@@Kyouma. because the creation itself is riddled with obnoxiously edgy content. I'm not able to speak for myself about a lot of the racist claims, since I'm admittedly ignorant about a lot of them, but the game is just bad, and that's not something I like saying about a Pokemon fangame
I played Pokémon opolo and it was one of the best games, guess I must of missed the edgy content or racism cause I didn’t see anything like that, I probably don’t have a vagina that’s why
Its a triangle of what you prefer. Something offbeat, something extremely challenging or a conventional game. I lean more towards the Uraniums & Insurgences.
I've played so many and I've got to say it's Insurgence for various reasons. This was a great list though. Reborn and Rejuvenation have my most hours clocked
Rejuvenation or Reborn would objectively be the best for sure. Empire is my favorite though, and I honestly believe when all 18 episodes are done it will be acknowledged as the best complete fangame experience. It goes above and beyond what you expect. That is, unless you eventually finish Vanguard of course. ;) I'd also be interested on your thoughts about Pokemon Tectonic, which arguably has some of the most interesting balancing I've ever seen in regards to progression and the battles.
I've been thinking about getting into Rejuvenation for a little bit. The last fan game i tried, while challenging and creative, was missing in the story department for me. And the sheer accessibility of PokeRouge is very appealing for travel. Thanks for the recommendations!
Two of my favorite fan games are Re:member and reminiscence. In Pokemon Reminiscence, the legendary Pokemon are not only human, but play huge roles in what it means to grieve and have empathy. And ironically, it’s not even a dark game. It’s just…mature. Also, it’s a lot like Pokemon Dungeons! And in Pokemon Re:member, it brings up an interesting question. If ultra wormholes can take us through time and space…what if we could visit other franchises? You’ll play as Champion Red and explore these wormholes with two very recognizable characters from Bayblade AND Danganronpa. Later in the game, you’ll see Yugio, Persona 5, Deltarune, Astro Boy, and possibly more that I’m forgetting or couldn’t see. After all, its main story says that depending on your choices, you can change your fate. I highly recommend these games as nuzlocks(?) as well!
Never played Rejuvenation and I'm so glad to hear about it ! My top three would be Emerald rogue (Closest I felt to be challenged as a pokemon master) Tectonic Flux when it will be complete Never understood the reason behind Xenoverse hype, I played it twice to try loving it but the gameplay is not so fun, and the pace is very weird. Balance was the biggest issue with some mons feeling useless and otherd overpowering the whole game.
Rejuvenation is something I aspire to make for my fangame. Pokémon infinity, vanguard, and the modernization of past mechanics in radical red is what I’m looking. I love to see love for rejuvenation. It’s just soooo good. (Even without passwords)
You didn't explain what Rogue and Rejuvenation are. From the title I can guess that Rogue is a rogue-lite but you said rejuvenation opened your eyes to what Pokemon can be in the hands of someone with a lot of ideas. But you never explained what those ideas are and why those said ideas set the game apart from its contemporaries.
my top three are Rejuvenation, Realidea System and Vanguard. My two key things in a fan game are visuals/graphics and story which all of these exceed in.
Pokemon Academy Life Forever is another serious contender in my opinion. Very well-constructed story and characters, different from the norm... but you know, being mostly visual novel (even if the gameplay is there), it's too much effort to read for the masses.
I loved Rejuvenation when I first started playing it until I hit the soul labyrinth, this here made me stop playing and never give it another chance (I tried for 3 days to get past this). One thing I really hate in games is when a mini game that requires a completely different set of gaming skills and it is compulsory to continue playing.
The soul labyrinth is when you are chased by a dusknoir, right? They made it skipable in V13.5 by walking into the yellow butterfly if you go straight from the entrance of the maze since a lot of players had the same problem as you in V13
I would say that Pokemon Reborn is the best Pokemon Fangame created, but for a reason that possibly disqualified it from your list, which is that it is still basically the same kind of game as the canonical main line games, though expanded to its limits. Reborn is pure essence of Pokemon - completing the Pokedex, exploring diverse areas, winning gym badges, and saving the world - and it is complete in a way none of the canonical games were. I intend to finish Rejuvenation, and I have enjoyed playing it, but it feels less purely Pokemon, a bit more Fantasy TV show.
One fan game that would be the best would be a fan game that has multiple hundreds or thousands of brand new Pokémon Maybe it’s because I love all those fan games and rom hacks with fakemon in them that I suggested a fan game with multiple hundreds or multiple thousands of brand new Pokemon
My criteria for the best Pokémon fan game is it has to have meaningfull choices. That's why my all time favorites are Pokémon pathways, desolation and rejuvenation.
Personally, I always will think Pokémon reborn is the best Fan game, even better than rejuvination. Now, I’m not going to pretend like rejuvination isn’t a bit better designed then reborn, has a story that’s a little bit more well told, but even with all of those things, I still prefer reborn. The main reason I like reborn more Is mostly because of the characters. The characters you meet throughout the game are so amazing. The story development, the backstory, is so great. Maybe it’s just because of how much I enjoyed reborn, but when I played rejuvination, i did really enjoy the game, but I didn’t feel has strongly with the characters you encounter throughout the story as I did with reborn
Reborn, I think, is better at being an RPG, but fails at being an actual Pokemon Game, which is where Pokemon Rejuvenation succeeds for me. I especially love the Fakemon in it, that Solrock/Lunatone fusion is literally one of the coolest things ever.
I could never get infinite fusion to work on a mobile emulator. That's why I never got into it. Several fan games can work on special apps meant to emulate computers, but infinite fusion isn't and will never be compatible
The quality of games been really good like every other month smthg is out a be called "the best pokemon fan game" Which makes me want to ask, what is the worst pokemon fan games
@@hoangnguyen0721 probably some game from 15 years ago thst no one remembers. At least snakewood went so fucking insane thst jt guaranteed thst game would be remembered
Okay, I actually have an answer, kind of. It's called pokemon Trimaster. It apprently steals a bunch of content from other fangames, runs horribly, and just looks bad all around. I don't call fangames bad, or say super negative things about them unless they do something immoral like steal content from other fangame developers for example
Bro I'm going to keep it abuck the best fangames in my opinion are none other than Pokémon Rejuvenation, Pokémon Xenoverse, and Pokémon Insurgence just to name a few like how is it that most fan made Pokémon games are better than what gamefreak creates like for real
@@ayrei1503 don't know these two, but I found that crown, stranded, unbound, sors, voyager, crystal clear, liquid crystal, fire red extended, recharged emerald, recharged yellow, pokemblem, pokemon rogue (not Pokerogue the website but pokemon rogue the romhack)and some others are really good.
@@ayrei1503 but in term of graphics, it's undeniable that engine one are more permissive than romhack, even if I agree than nothing is impossible, u can't fit a 512x512 sprite into a 64x64 without loosing some quality.
imo I think Reborn is better since I feel that the player character actually exists and interacts with the story, whereas in Rejuvenation the player character feels like they are only ever watching the story unfold on other characters.
