PLEASE DO NOT MOVE TO GEORGIA THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH DISPLACED PEOPLE STAYING IN PEOPLE'S HOME WHILE AT WORK!!!!! YES, THIS IS OCCURRING! Key passwords to doors or actual keys are given to homeless. These people take showers, eat your food and bring havoc to your life. They are HEARTLESS!

Excellent video. Wish I had this when we were relocating here. Its good to focus on options in specific regions as work location can often dictate what part of the metro you are looking at. So breaking that down in detail is very beneficial. As a PTC resident I can say you did good job in describing the city in your prior video. Covering the region ( Fairburn, Tyrone, Newnan, Fayetteville, Senoia, etc...) would be extremely helpful.

The safest area to live is Roswell (west side and parts of East away from 400 and Hulcombrige), Alpharetta, Milton, Suwannee, Bufford, Duluth, Cummings and other places further North. Dekalb outside of Dunwoody and parts of Chamble, Atlanta, Smyrna, Marietta, Clayton county and Powder Springs are no go zones for living.

just spent over 2 years commuting from lawrenceville to roswell and during rush hour thats 1:20 - 1:45 each way. if i left before 6 am i could make it in 40 - 50 minutes. later than that and you are going to sit. coming back always takes an hour+ from like 2 pm through at least 7 pm. between 3:30 and 6:30 is the worst time to return. if you live in lawrenceville youre better off finding a job to the east or northeast because then you are going opposite of most of the traffic unless you work nights

I moved to Atlanta from Charlotte, NC 10 years ago. I have a love hate relationship with Atlanta. I have been very fortunate to do very well financially here on my job. However the crime is no joke. Too many people with a fake it till you make it attitude. Some will do anything for a dollar. No neighborhood is excluded from crime. I live in Buckhead, in a high rise apt. Just 7 months ago 3 men were shot and killed in the apt next door to mine. I was asleep in the bedroom. A bullet came through my wall. Thank God I was not injured.

You’re in the target location. Buckhead attracts a bad combination of ppl flaunting wealth, ppl with actual wealth, and ppl who know there is money there. I live in S. Dekalb (not a good area) and I am shocked by some of the wild shit that happens in Buckhead.

Good weather? It's brutally hot. Murder is the most popular activity here. The cost of living here is ubsurd. It's so gay you would think it's Babylon. I recommend no one move here. All kinds of horrible traffic. Strange bug mutations everywhere. No sidewalks. The crime here is as bas as the 70's in the Bronx or today in East Cleveland.

13:25 you're sugar coating just a Wee Bit. I had to double check the date you posted. They're not jacking cars so much, because the smash and grabs are much more lucrative. They finally caught a trio that hit 500 cars in the last year. Closely linked to the smash n grabs, is the Gun Play. Constant shootouts with guns stolen from right under the driver's seats. They've actually moved on from stealing cars. Now they're stealing HOUSES.......lol. and no, that's not a joke or hyperbole. I always say if Atlanta Scammers were to use their powers for good, they could rule the world.

Girl! I LOVE LOVE the ATL and I’m a Texas girl at heart! So much to do and see! I lived in the North Georgia Mountains, Doraville, and Cumming when I lived in Georgia. I love Georgia and is my fave place to have lived. Yes, the traffic, well, it’s bad but you can get use to it. I just learned to give myself at least 2 hours to get to where I was going. One thing for real if you plan on making bing there, if you can’t adjust to life revolving around traffic, then I suggest elsewhere to live because that is a fact! There is even traffic up in those mountains to deal with because it’s not quite as isolated as one might thing. There’s so much to do up there and see plus a lot of people just like living there like me!

@kaywaits4616 Living in the North GA Mountains and in most places on the North side, you avoid a lot of the homelessness, crime, debauchery/questionable behavior and government mismanagement that you’d experience inside the Perimeter closer in to downtown. Even 5 to 10 years ago, you’d miss most of the deterioration of Atlanta.

Sorry, the truth about this is that the Atlanta, Ga. is located with the zip code of 30303 / 30308… then into Mid-town and Buckhead. Zip codes beyond that will cross other counties and parallel line that changes the entire dynamics.

Again I have said this before about Mcdonough, Georgia. What people do not understand and refuse to acknowledge is that an area is considered to have quality, great schools, quiet surroundings, and a low crime rate UNTIL a certain element moves into that area and destroys all of that! Why do WE refuse to talk about the truth? Again, I have property in that area, several to be exact and for the last 25 + years it has been quiet in the Mcdonough, area and there has been safety. Until recently when the demographics changed, now some of the local convenient stores are being held up at gunpoint, I’ve been told that there’s trash being tossed onto the street in public areas something that we have not seen in 50+ years in that area. Who exactly do you think is doing all of this because it wasn’t like that before when the demographics were different! When I go to the area to check on my properties, I frequent the local establishments there the eateries and people are definitely talking & a lot of the yt people are being verbal about their decision to move out of the area they are now moving to Jackson and further rural areas. Why won’t we tell the truth about what happens when the demographics change in these areas. I am being told that It’s not just Mcdonough, but several other areas in Georgia that when the demographics change, the crime rate increases tremendously and those place goes to hell like Clayton County did. I’m being told also that there are section 8 apartments being built in close proximity to half million dollar & up homes. That is a recipe for disaster if you ask me. But make no mistake about it these people are saying that they are strapped and ready for whatever because they are not going to all be able to move to get away from the criminal activity that follows when people from Chicago, Detroit, New York & other crime-ridden communities in Georgia move to the area. People are sick and tired of constantly moving, trying to get away from people who are determined to destroy everything they touch. Often times a lot of people moving to these area are single mothers with their sons that they can’t raise properly by themselves and those sons become out of control and start committing crimes. If your situation fits that description, please do not move there. As property owners, we do not want to lease our properties to individuals who are going to destroy it and bring criminal activity to the area.

@sheplayschess thank you for sharing your experience with us. Have you attended your local townhall meeting in McDonough GA to express your grievances with what your experiencing in the area. If not that maybe a start and they tend to look for caring and passionate community members to help drive the changes you want to see and that is in alignment with the community goals. Just a suggestion but I appreciate you watching and taking the time to write this extension comment. I’m sure someone will find the helpful as the consider moving to the area.
