@@southtexasfishingfam3436 looking for a good surf set up. You think an 8K Spheros SW with an 11’ Shimano Speedmaster is a good combo for surf and even jetty fishing? Or would a step down be better, like a 6K Spheros SW on a 10’-10’6 speedmaster surf rod?

What oz lures were you casting at the surf and how many lb test line? Trying to get my stuff set up for some surf fishing but my stuff is a little heavy. Saw some people recently commenting and saying it’s best to go as light as you can but I’m wondering if I go too light they’d break off
Yea I tried however halcos split rigs were tight they didn't let me they just wouldn'tlet me take the hook off not enough room on the tiny loop.. so I'm going to cut them old split rings off add new ones with better hooks💪💯🤙

Things are sorted out, but now it's a waiting game .. however she should be home soon..when she does ..il be capable of getting a new toy ...which will possibly be a tacoma for the sand and mileage
