I find it hilarious how, thousands of years later after he and the cities he knew were sent to the sands of time, ea Nasir became a meme just because he was a good swindler and loved his complaint tablets
moral of the story watching this in 2024 is that the claim of the jews to Jeraselum being the promised land by god and given to them by Cyrus was a made-up lie written 100 years later than the event itself... and somehow I'm not surprised.
The fish bones where the sumarians bc they where shapshifters. That's why u see "fish people" on the Mesopotamia walls, they had actuel fish heads and body's
Too bad we haven't learned a thing from these events, and the 2nd intermediate period either. We'll repeat that same history again, but at least we'll be politically correct.
Nobody tell me who wins… laisse faire I wanna be surprised so please let Cy make more. There’s a few more yet… Yaknow why no painting of Egyptian interior? We’re gonna need to find out what they did for roofs. Great video Cy.
Akkadian is Igbo Aka Odi. Sumer as it is known in English is wrong and the civilization was created by Igbo people that left their homeland in Biafra Land-Eastern Nigerian. Their descendants/offsprings are still around and they know who they are.
IVC residential sites are found not just in Gujarat but all the way down to Tamil Nadu and all over India. For eg Keezadi in Tamil Nadu, Inamgaon and Daimabad in Maharashtra. The question is how come all of these sites were destroyed one by one over a period of time
Some of the phrases used are typically obscuring the obvious cultural and religious continuity into the even then allready existing vedic society. Old symbols that have not even morphed since thousands of years can still be found in present day. It doesn't take a genius or scientific inference to see that immediately. Whats wrong with you guys?
Shoshenq was mentioned in the first indiana jones movie. We're finally to the old testament. After the new kingdom is already gone. The pyramids, all those temples, the ramses statues. It was all there while they were writing that stuff. This channel has cleared up so much blurry history in my mind. I have to watch the greek and persian playlists then I'll be ready to read books. This channel the best thing that ever happened to the internet.
Great work Cy, congratulations, this is not an obvious topic of Greek history and you clearly nailed it. For anybody who is interested: overlooking my village (Galaxidion, Central Greece) is a newbuilt christian church surrounded by a wall of the geometric era, of an oval shape. It can be clearly seen in Google Maps or Google Earth. The coordinates are 38.36657, 22.36085.
Watching you run through the kings list makes me emotional for some reason. Someone's entire lifespan, reduced to a single name with birth and death. And most of their lives we'll never get to know at all. It's crazy.
Yeah that's going to be a lot of fun to make. Along with some edits (I'll be taking out the intros and ending like "in the next episode..." etc.), I hope to have new footage from Egypt by then to add in along with any new updates/findings since the original episodes came out. It'll take a while to put together but hopefully worth it for all of you Egypt enthusiasts. Thanks for watching this series, really appreciate it!
My great grandfather is from the Zapoteca. He was a MASTER farmer and lived 106 years. He lived in Jalisco, Coahuila and Kansas City! Arcadio Dominguez! He always planted his crops on a full moon and harvested on a full moon. His food never went bad!
Nice! I'm hoping to go to Oaxaca and Monte Albán later this year or early next to get more explore more Zapotec history. Will probably do a follow up to his and other Mesoamerican civs, it's been a while since I've put anything out on the subject. Thanks for watching!
Ok. Your research is faulty. Sumer was the first super power. 100 of the first indicators of civilization. First in agriculture, first library's, first index for said library's, first courts, the list goes on all thousands of years before the Akkadian empire even showed up on earth. You really should not trust wikipedia. Truly.
Hi. "Truly" with all due respect I'm not sure that you even watched the video. You can check "Sources and Suggested Reading" in the video description for the resources I actually used (not Wikipedia). With regard to Sumer, again, with all due respect and I say this with humility, I have pretty good idea about Sumerian civilization and early Mesopotamia...I'd estimate about over half of the videos on this channel are related to the topic in some way... check them out, you might find them interesting, and sources are listed in their video descriptions as well (again, not wikipedia). Thanks.
@@HistorywithCy The Akkadians were not the first super power. History tells us so. Sumer was. That was my point. The Sumerains started agriculture in that part of the world thousands of years before the Akkadians came to be. History tells us so. I find in my decades of research that Sumer was a super power over 200000 years ago. 100 firsts of civilization. No other civilization can say that. And no I did not watch the vid. Just scrolling & saw your title of the file was historically inaccurate. that is all.
Proto Elamite sounds really strange considering that the Elamites were always descended from Elam from the start. The actual historical record shows that everyone spread out from Mesopotamia. Ancient history is essential for everyone to know, especially the sixteen original civilizations… from the sixteen grandsons of Noah. Learn ancient history before trying to learn science. 1. The first inhabitants of Italy (K) Tubal 2. Thracians (L) Tiras 3. Siberians (N) Meshek 4. East Asians (O) Magog 5. Medes (PQ) Madai 6.. Western Europeans (R) Gomer 7. Mediterranean Greek sea people (T) Javan 8. Hebrews and Arabic (IJ) Arphaxad 9. Elamites (H) Elam 10. Assyrians (G) Asshur 11. Arameans (F1) Aram 12. Lydians (F2) Lud 13. Cushites (AB, C) Cush 14. Egyptians (E3) Mitzrayim 15. Canaanites (E2, D) Canaan 16. Original North African Phoenicians (E1) Phut The D haplogroup descendants of Canaan migrated east through Tibet all the way to Japan. The C haplogroup descendants of Nimrod migrated to South Asia, the Pacific, Mongolia and all the way to the Americas along with Q haplogroup descendants of Madai ancestor of the Medes. The A maternal mtDNA haplogroup belonging to the N lineage accompanied the Q paternal haplogroup in the Americas. The C&D maternal haplogroups belong to the M lineage. The B maternal haplogroup seems to have crossed the Pacific Ocean. The Mediterranean paternal R1b and the maternal X2a also found in Galilee represent an Atlantic crossing of the Phoenicians in the days of King Solomon considering also the Mediterranean paternal haplogroups of T, G, I1, I2, J1, J2, E and B in addition to the R1b in Native American Populations. J1 and J2 is Arabs and Jews. (I1 is Dan, I2 is Asher) Of course there is the Cohen modal haplotype of J1 P58 which identifies the IJ lineage of Hebrews and Arabs that are descended from Arphaxad. J2 M172 is the descendants of the House of David and Solomon.
Me too... I went to Mexico City last month and was just blown away but all the amazing things I saw in the National Anthropology Museum...you must visit it if you're interested in the precolumbian cultures of Mesoamerica, it's one of kind. Thanks for watching and more on the way!
Somebody knows their Sumerian King List! Haha how cool would it be if they found a papyrus with an Egyptian scribe writing something similar about one of the Intermediate periods?! As always thanks so much for watching, always appreciate it!
Thanks! I'm super excited about the CL finale... it's one of my favorite series on RU-vid and honestly I'm a bit sad it's coming to an end. Can't wait though!
Hi! No, I think it's less than that. I'm not that great at math but here's how I'd calculate it: 15,345 deben x 91 grams/deben=1,395,395 grams or roughly 1,395.4 kg. To convert it to pounds I'd do 1,395.4 kg x 2.20462 lbs/kg=3,076 lbs. This comes to just over 1.5 tons. Still a lot of gold! Thanks so much for watching, really appreciate it!
You're welcome and thanks for watching. The next one will be D24 and 25 and will probably be one of the more interesting and intense episodes of the series, I think you'll enjoy it!
