The younger people in the front were rude to Little Richard. He did a fabulous job presenting this award. I thought Otis Redding was singing the songs. It's a shame that other generations don't recognize the talent we've lost over the years.
I composed this track, blending Gordon Bok’s original theme with a quintessential sea chantey style fiddle track. Alan Hawryluk played the chantey while the strings of the Atlantic Symphony played the Bok theme. My dad conducted the orchestra. I won the Blue Ribbon at the American Film Festival for the movie score. I replaced the original scoring composer, the great Robert Russell Bennett- a powerhouse in the scoring world who generously reviewed my scores and guided me toward an award-winning addition to Jon Craig Cloutier’s beautiful film.
WOW! You couldn't ask for a better induction M.C. than thee Architect of Rock n' Roll music, the man Little Richard. He was a whole vibe all by himself. I could watch him just be himself all day everyday. What a talent and character he was. There will never be another like him as well as the late GREAT OTIS REDDING. I am so thankful that i was alive, when some of the GREATEST artist that there ever was, were all living at the same time, like; James Brown, Little Richard, Otis Redding, Chuck Berry, Wilson Picket, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cook, Aretha Franklin, just to name a few. This was FANTASTIC!
When James Brown passed Little Richard said of James "Before him there waan't and after him there never will be". What a tribute from Richard to James. However, the same can and will be said of you too.Richard. And truer words will never be spokes. RIP Richard and James.....
That is so awesome story. I Love Little Richard. The most kindest Man on the Planet. And it was so sad he passed away in terrible covid time. He should have had an American State Funeral. 😇
I Loved and love Little Richard. I was a teenager in the the 1950's and danced , enjoyed and listened to every tune. He DEFINED rock n roll and so much more. He was a gift to all of us... And listening to him sing today is as great as it was in 1955!
