Great job corona team! Make scattering more artistic is amazing. Please someone make a request to make it possible to choose brush scatter objects. Like for example if you have various of trees in scatter, and you want to add some extra pines only, etc. Or if you have scatter object with zero chance of generating, but available to be added with brush.

Corona stays only for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D because porting it to any other application would slow down the development on the core product, perhaps more so with Blender due to the extra challenges of porting to it. Hope this helps you understand why we are not developing Corona for any other applications. Tom
You'd have to check in with the Vantage team on what the longer term plans are there. Not sure what you mean by compatibility with C4D, as Corona 12 can export from Max or C4D to Vantage. There are some differences between the two, which arise mostly from how C4D handles UVW very differently, but that said Vantage is already compatible with C4D. Hope this helps! Tom
Unfortunately, it is very outdated and needs a lot of improvement. Alternative options are much better; Blender GPU rendering or transferring to Unreal Engine to get much more controllable outputs is an advantage
Well, neither of those options is good for having a working scene in Corona that you can transfer to real-time with minimum of effort, especially with Unreal that would take a lot of conversion. So which options are "much better" definitely comes down to what the user wants to achieve and their preferred workflow. Thanks! Tom

What is wrong with you, you like all other developers, simply release something that is not ready and say that it is an advantage. And it is already several generations out of date. Instead of making such a function built into the chaos corona, you release a program that no one needs, and that renders animation 5 times longer than Unreal Engine. It's not an vantage, it's vintage.
Nice! Lovely image btw. Maybe in the future we could have a hue variation option or something similar? Would save a lot of time, instead of having to change every single material by hand.
Sorry, I don't understand the feature request here. It is already possible to have materials vary across instances in a scatter automatically (see some earlier tutorials), but that may not be what you mean. If you creators of Corona have a way to control the animation rendering time, it would be wonderful, like allowing an animation render to finish in 3 minutes, just like the images.
Sorry, I don't fully understand the request, especially with this comment being under the Pattern video. It would be unlikely for an animation of any quality to complete rendering in 3 minutes even on a GPU solution, though you could certainly knock out a test animation with draft quality in that time. why every time i stop bathrender then denoising on the vfb panel is turned off I don't understand what's the improvement here when it's so inconvenient please answer
There hasn't been any specific improvement regarding denoising, and indeed the whole denoising workflow is up for rework, hopefully in Corona 13. That's been overdue for a while given how many denoising options there are these days :) So VFB 2 improvements are about other things for now, not denoising. Hope this helps! Tom
I am just going to say, keep the material library both in local and on chaos browser. Since the chaos browser is online, you cant work remote, sometimes you have an unstable connection and chaos cosmos doesnt like that. It also crashes so much or it wont start, so I love being able to access the corona materials on the fly.
Although we plan to remove the Corona Material Library from the installer, if you already have it installed it will stay there, and there will always be some way to download it separately just as there is today. So for those that want it, that option will remain :) Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona Yes, I believe giving the users the option to install it separately as you update corona is great. Honestly just today due to a server maintenance our computers didnt have access to wifi, and the only reason I was able to contine working was because I could access corona library offline, for chaos cosmos I had to have our company's IT to do a bunch of resets to get it to work!

As mentioned in our tutorials and webinar and blog post, Corona 13 is when we plan to have a live link which will let you render animations from 3ds Max and Cinema 4D without having to build them in Vantage (though you can do a lot by building them in Vantage already!). Hope this helps! Tom
Same point as if it was included in the price, the use cases don't change. Vantage is a separate product though, developed separately from V-Ray or Corona, and so needs to be purchased separately from either render engine too. Hope this helps explain things, Tom

Hi! Most materials should come into Vantage looking very similar to how they are in Corona (for those materials that are compatible). They will not be editable though, so in that sense they are baked. You can however apply materials onto an object from any existing materials in the scene, or from Chaos Cosmos. But yep, as Vantage is not a content creation tool in the full sense (it is not intended to be), then material editing is not something available in it. Hope this helps! Tom

@@ChaosCorona It feels very bad that even your core audience is archviz people and you are completely ignoring BIM Software. Ultimately they also generate surface at the end so what is the issue in implementing. Atleast leave some way like blender so community can develop it slowly.

Part of our plan for Corona 13 is .vrscene import, with a focus on the .vrscene as written by Enscape, to open up the door to those who are architects moving their stuff over to where archviz people can "do their thing" (or the architect can give it a go themselves, with how simple Corona is). Other than that, the development time required to make any port of Corona itself, coupled with the lack of good developers to expand the team, would mean Corona development slowing down too much for our core products, making it non-viable. There is a third party exporter from Blender that can send things to the Corona Standalone, so that door isn't closed off either. Hope this helps! Tom
this is a nice option,as stated it needs work, tbh the quality isnt as good as corona (but I think thats a vantage issue). So far I ve noticed it can get a lil weird with some maps and hdris.

I don't think the quality will ever be as good as Corona because GPU rendering has some limitations, even on today's hardware (which is why Corona GPU was never going to happen, as Corona is all about quality). To be honest, I don’t like the workflow of Vantage at all. If Corona developers could create their own version, I bet it’ll be much much more friendly and better.
I think every archviz artist knows how complex and - sometimes - difficult to manage a house or some bigger interior scene... I doubt anyone would have the time to playing around with this kind of stuff

From what I understand, the latest Cosmos and Vantage updates now have animated trees and plants that you can take from Cosmos and drop into your Vantage scene (they don't animate in V-Ray or in Corona, just in Vantage). UNimpressed... very... ivnt been in the 3d industrie for bout 10 years (after having my own archvis-company with a few employees and bout 130 architectural clients. today im on holiday, and wanted to know whats going on in the archvis field. disappointed... back in those days i started 3dviz in 1999. few years later someone gave me vray... MINDBLOWING->GI! ... vray changed my life for 15! years (cant remember) founded my first company in 2009?...then there was Corona. Later on i gave some talks at Autodesk university, was an arviz-speaker all over europe and in some states in USA.... I BURNED for corona, as i installed first version of it. Then, i remember, chaos bought it... closed my company in 2014 to become a professor.. .... now its 2024 and NOTHING changed in that field. The only thing changed is, that u can learn 3d within 1 year with youtube, and not in 10 years with books.. (greets to that italien guy "vrayGUIDE") Photorealism nowadays looks like in 2016, grain is whashed and blurred out, birds eye looks like a toy, Lensflair (who cares about lens flair which was hype in photoshop CS1)... Maybe uve more vram for scattering. AI: Hey, a good artist has its material library and dont need to prompt :" bit mor, not that much, more grey"... we can make a good looking texture within seconds. Patterns: sry, but cant u take a msc for that? --- I thought: Maybe in 2024 there is full-realtime rendering for oculus , some augmented stuff... Im disappointed, (in case of water , heaven, dust and fog -> that needs to be done in post cause its always faster than in 3D. Nobody cares bout that) ---- Maybe ivnt understand the REALLY BREAKTHROUGHT new things between corona 6 and 12. for that im sry... But - as ive seen the presentation of chaos-vray, i think thats thats not a nice, young, motivated company. Seems to be a change-management driven marketing and stakeholder business. ... last words: Those days as i drove 1200km to my "animago 2009", just to see VLADO in real, or that week as i couldnt sleep caus i had a stage-talk with neoscape in vienna... Think those times are over... arent they?
Good news. I did a test, but materials from the Corona library are not exported to Vantage, such as wall textures and glass. Am I doing something wrong?

Great news to finally be able to use corona in vantage to speed up our creation process and see quick previews. Instead of having to wait for the IPR when doing big scenes with lots of vegetation, speed in vantage is great. Only thing I'm impatiently waiting for is the live link, heard it would be for the end of 2024 and corona 13. Then I can really start using vantage in my pro client work and pipeline to speed up my creation process. Too bad we can't already have a live link available for corona 12. But I imagine good development and implementation without bugs takes time ;)
Live Link is indeed planned for Corona 13. It's primary purpose will be to allow you to render animations from Max or C4D through Vantage. Time will tell how "live" it is for other uses such as e.g. using it like an IPR - we won't know til we get started on development and seeing how things will go, just to manage expectations.
