Crappy video, nonetheless. I'm trying to decide between these two machines. I'm leaning towards the Fabricator because when on sale, I can get it for 10% off + free shipping for a total grand total of $1,615. The lowest I've been able to find the DNU-1541S w/table (w/o the needle positioner upgrade), delivered is $2,220. That's a $605 difference.
Good evening, I have a question, is it possible to apply oils, balms, creams over these finishes to nourish the leather or do they form a waterproof layer that prevents absorption? Thanks for the reply and thanks for the interesting video!
I need help. I have Dansko's and the calfskin (as they told me) under the cuff across the top of the shoes cracks and falls apart. What do you recommend to keep the calf leather from falling apart?
The AI generated voice and pictures of swing machines that are not being evaluated is like one said, amateurish. You never touched on the availability of parts and ease of maintenance. There was no comparison of tolerances in bearings / bushings. Juki is hands down a better piece of equipment.
I used to have a Sailrite Fabricator, and now have a Juki 1541S. I have arthritis, and the reason I sold the Fabricator is that the knee lift caused a lot of pain in my knee, and the hand wheel was very hard to turn, which also caused pain. My Juki 1541 knee lift does not cause any knee pain, and the hand wheel is easy for me to use. I also have a Sailrite LSZ-1 and a Baby Lock Soprano, so I have the best for anything I need to sew.
Sailrite si a fraud, is a chinesse machine paint IN other color, it is NOT MADE IN NUSA, Es un máquina hecha en china repintada, de mala muy mala calidad, y no se vende en América porque la quisieron hacer pasar como hecha en USA y el NAFTA no le permitió entrar a grandes mercados como el mexicano porque quisieron burlar los aranceles, son un puñado de granjeros de pueblo pequeño de Indiana que quisieron hacer fraude fiscal en México y no pudieron, estafadores
Shouldn’t the fabricator be being compared to an old Juki LU-562 instead? that fabricator is no better than any old walking foot machine you can find on marketplace for $300-$400 bucks. If you are considering the fabricator buy an old Consew 206rb or Consew 226 or Juki Lu-562 or 563 and learn how to set up the machine yourself learn the adjustments and do your own mechanical work you will save a ton of money on purchasing the machine and in repairs you will be so glad you took the time to learn about your machine. If that is not for you buy the Juki 1541s and you will be happy with your purchase and you should get many years of trouble free service out of it.
@@LAAM619 - Just last week the Fabricator was on sale (10% off) for $1,615.50, shipped. The lowest I’ve been able to find the 1541S with table and without the needle positioner motor, shipped, is $2,219.65. That's a ~$600 difference 😅 What am I missing? I’ve been on the lookout for the past two months 😅 Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
@@nerdyhustle just took a look, all the prices have gone up lol, bro you shudda bn looking 6 months ago lol. You missed out. Idk i guess now either buy used or wait for the sales.
Hey Chuck if you're going to to a comparison video then do it yourself. Get rid of the computer generated voice over. It's distracting and amateurish. Additionally it detracts from your credibility. This is meant as constructive criticism if you [plan to grow your channel.
“While resolene is suitable for tannery leather, it is not suitable for dyed leather”. What? Isn’t tannery leather dyed? What can I use it on then, undyed tannery leather? What is “ tannery leather” isn’t all leather from a tannery WTF
This vid is Utterly pointless contradictory misinformation. I saw else where (after going all round the houses) that tan kote is not quite as permanent, but will allow conditioner through to the leather.! Resolene lasts longer and not so good if you want to condition your leather item regularly. A whole Sunday morning and thats as close as I could get to difference. By the way, another leather mystery is whats the difference between leather protector and leather conditioner~ so far as I can tell they are one and the same thing~ I have seen how to use each separately and in both cases they mix and match protector and conditioner within the same sentence for the same purpose.
0:53 says Resolene isn't suitable for dyed leather. 1:22 says Resolene can be used on dyed leather. Whomever made this video was smoking crack. Idiots.
“While resolene is not greatt for not protecting leather from water, it’s great water protecting qualities are good but not great when compared to tan kote which is why it doesn’t compare with itself. Resolene can protect against water on dyed leather but it will leave water spots cuz it can only be used on leather that has not been dyed unlike tank tote…wait did I say tank tote? What the hell is tank tote? Or is it tan coat? I’m like totally confused lol but I think I might have just confused myself because I like totally knew it and then my mind went blank for a second and now I’m just like totally unsure about what we were talking about lol…I’m just gonna go back to the beginning and hope that it will just come back to me once I get my flow back…okay so resolene is and isn’t good for leather…”
I am more confused than I was before watching. Tan Kote is protective, but not very water resistant and Resolene is water resistant but not waterproof?
