What's the MOST scary and shocking about this video is that theres a guy doing a video on Halloween and commenting on pretty much EVERYTHING that EVERY SINGLE PERSON has KNOWN FOR DECADES like hes giving us some news or something 😂
I guess we learned how long the writers of this could last in those intimite encounters. Kind of an odd take away, but there you go. I will admit to enjoying this one, though I feel they should have stopped after one film.
WELP. You know how I feel about this character. He's one of my Top Five Most Hated Characters of all time. He's not scary. He's just a stupid punk that stalks children and teens. He breathes but somehow can't die. He couldn't come to Chicago. I despise him with the heat of a thousand suns.
How you feel about him is exactly how I feel about the dumb clown from the terrifier movies. So while I disagree about this specific movie, I definitely get where you're coming from
Halloween is one of those rare classic movies that hits on every level. Atmosphere (it defines the season now), Music (ditto), cinematography (jump scare be damned, get artistic modern dumb-a$$ directors, the acting ain't half bad, story (not overly explained, pure bliss compared to modern schlock). It has some minor imperfections but luckily they only serve to highlight the good because they are forgivable. Outdoor corridors and lockers in a mid-western school (forgiven), a Palm tree here or there (forgiven, they carted around a bag of russet leaves for gods sake they made an effort). Just love this movie.
the costume and special effects designs in these movies are fucking insane. that chatterer design from the first movie alone should've won something. funny shit tho. breakaway basketball pants and fucking darth vader character arc crowbarred into 25 seconds is the best. you crazy bastid. good woik.
The Prophets stuff never bothered me on DS9. It did sort of peter out by the end - and the final confrontation with the Pah'Wraths in the finale was very abrupt and unsatisfying - but I didn't mind the Starfleet crew embracing the Prophets more since they are real beings with a cosmic influence on not completely fictional gods. The stuff with Sisko's real mum made no sense when looking back over the entire series however. All that said, DS9 is still my fave Trek.

Just think of the movie as one of those puzzle boxes. Maybe you don't really want to figure it out. Who knows what shows up or happens if you're successful lol. Also I used to get freaked out by pinhead, but ever since I saw the pictures of the makeup behind the scenes in Fangoria the effect has lost its luster. I disagree with your claim that Jonathan in this film ONLY ever teaches Clark to keep himself amd his reputation hidden and safe. If you genuinely analyze all of Jonathan's lines from this movie, then you'll know that he understands that Clark must not reveal his true self AT THE WRONG TIME. I believe you did indeed call it *_"foresight"_* and therefore are guilty of a Straw Man fallacy against this specific topic within the context of this movie's script. In the film, Jonathan never claimed he prophetically 100% knew exactly what every single human's reaction to Clark's true self would be, but he is ABSOLUTELY allowed an educated and perfectly safe guess that, with the wrong timing, that revelation absolutely could go VERY wrong. I'd agree that there are certainly better portrayals of Jonathan Kent which have more depth. And while I also agree that a lot of his lines in this movie cpuld have been better, your logical fallacy is not justified in any way.
I saw the first 2 films at around the same time, I think in 2021. And besides Garek's actor in the first film, with both I just remember thinking "What the hell did I just watch" lol
Yeah, Frank killed Larry and took his skin. I always wondered why Frank couldn't just kill a few more people and get his real skin back. The answer is probably that they wanted Julia to be the main villain of this film and they couldn't have her be portrayed by another actress.
@eddiesteak I always assumed that Julia went farther through the restoration process than Frank did. Like you said at the beginning of this video head Cannon is necessary if you want to walk away from these movies claiming to understand. I'm not even sure if my head cannon works out considering how swiftly Julia fell out of her new skin at the end of part 2. I shouldn't have made my explanation sound as if I was speaking definitively I'm just guessing as to what's going on in these movies like everybody else
The most memorable aspect of this film for me was that the actor who plays Garek in DS9 is the father in this one. Ok not the only thing I remember, but that was memorable.

Star Trek the Original Series has always been, and always will be my favorite show of all time. And Shatner as Captain Kirk is unquestionably the best captain this Series has ever had. I still find it amazing that people think his acting is somehow lacking. It's his acting that actually got me to love his character and the show. When he utters the lines " let's get the hell out of here" in that grovely voice at the end of City on the Edge of Forever, that's just one of the best acted most poignant moments I've ever seen in Star Trek. Or his reaction reaction when his son is killed, uttering " you Klingon bastard you killed my son." That's just amazing stuff. I think he's just the best.

This episode always stood out to me. True nothing deep or great here but I love Data's poetry reading. The scene where they recreate the alien chair in the holodeck was so creepy and well done.
Every once in a while I hear clicking sounds - from equipment to blowing plastic even to some bugs in the woods. I think of this episode. Scared the shit out of me.
There are many times when the ship doesn't volunteer needed information in the series. That pissed me off all those years ago. I like the way you put it - "They should turn on ship notifications." The other thing is, "Raise shields." You mean the ship doesn't do that automatically when an adversary powers weapons?
15:14 - yes, they do appear in Star Trek Online. Or rather, their instruments do. That's more a topic for, say, Certifiably Ingame to cover. Hell, he probably already has.
As a teenager I spend some time in Hospital, nothing serious, but the male nurse on night watch knew I was a big Star Trek fan. And because I couldn't watch TNG during the day in the TV room at the time, one night he woke me up so I could watch the re-run of that days Episode that was aired later at night, and this Episode was "Schisms". He was expecting a kids show in space and I was sitting on the couch half asleep like "O yeah, that episode...zZZzzz...its were this Aliens form another Dimension come in..." And he was glued to the screen, this was not what he expected, he was talking about this for the next few days. 😂
