has this ever even you acne or anyone you have heard of? Also do i have to cleanse my face bc i only have one cleanser and it gave me bad acne so i stopped using it.
A tip for distributing it better and easier (for anyone interested) is to use a hydrating toner first (for however many layers you want), and then while the face and hands are still wet, apply the serum then. Plus it'll likely sink in nicer and not be as sticky if that's a concern. This also applies to moisturisers, and essentially anything including actives if your skin is fine with it (otherwise definitely be smart about this).
My skin was basically a bit dehydrated, so I wanted to look into vitamin C. I started using riceberry vitamin C face serum by litlleexttra. This serum is lightweight, not sticky, not greasy, and soaks in quickly. You can start using it in your daily day and nighttime skincare routine. I spotted a viewable difference in my skin within a week. It left my skin silky, supple, nourished, and glowing. Because it's not sticky or oily, it's suitable for use in both summer and winter. The bottle is attractive and carries a pump, making it simple to use. This serum is definitely perfect for sensitive skin too. I saw my dark spots fading after using it. I just use 1 or 2 drops and gently massage it in circular motions on my cleansed face and neck. I can look that my face looks smoother and my skin is glowing.
Thanks for explaining but i want to know that after cleansing our face with micellar water when we wash our face it's necessary to rinse off with water simply or we can use facewash or any face soap?
Since I started using it, the rice berry face serum and face wash by littleextrrea have worked wonders for my skin. Here are the benefits I've noticed: 1- It lessened my acne. 2- It reduced the oil on my skin. 3- My face instantly brightens up. I thought this effect might fade quickly, but my glow lasts for more than 12 hours, keeping me looking fresh. I'm really impressed with how well it works.
I’m have so many pimples on my face and body I tried so many pimple products but that’s not work . Still I have pimples on my face what is the difference between. (. ACNE FOAMING WASH 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Maximum Strength ) and ( CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser 4% BENZOYL PEROXIDE ACNE TREATMENT ) which do you think is better to use for acne?
Hey! :) Are both from CeraVe? If yes, the percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide is the major difference. Out of the BP products I've tried, I liked Panoxyl BP Cleanser and Differin BP Cleanser the most. However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (like water and air quality), or your diet (like consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance, like bread, milk, chicken, etc). Benzoyl Peroxide is just a treatment and won't target the actual cause of your acne, which is why it tends to recur. I didn't know this myself; however, I've been conducting an experiment for 5 months now, and so far, my face looks really good, while my chest, back, and shoulders are undergoing detoxification due to massive changes in my diet. My biggest insecurity is my crowfeets. They're not deep but they exist and you said we shouldn't use retinol on that area! How can I treat them at home? 😢
You can use Retinol or a Peptide Serum or Cream for your crow's feet. However, with Retinol, the strength and formulation matter. While The Ordinary's Retinol 0.2% may not be an issue for you, it could be drying or irritating for some people. In that case, it's best to opt for a Retinol Eye Serum or Cream, as they are usually much gentler for such a thin and potentially sensitive area.
how do you use CeraVe Deep Pore Cleansing for the Face optimally?the blemish control cleanser with niancinamide ive searched everywhere yet i dont see any clues as how to use it
Well you can, but I do not recommend doing that, because products can easily absorb there into the bloodstream which then can cause long term damage, so personally I do not use any skincare nor deodorant products there because of these concern.
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I have hyperpigmentation/Dark spots....I've been using The Ordinary Glycolic acid (every night) as my toner and then using ANUA (k beauty) retinol every night lol No irritation...tbh I'm actually seeing improvement Maybe it's because my skin type is oily I recently start adding Anua Niacimide to my skin care too...no reactions thus far
No, this can potentially lead to sensitivities or irritations over time, depending on your skin tolerance and how often you use them throughout the week. Either use one of them, opt for a product that contains both AHA and BHA, or use both on alternate days.
The eye contour refers to the area extending from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner, and just below the brow bone, but excluding the upper eyelids. However, you also need to consider the product's ingredients and your specific targets. For example, with the caffeine solution, you would aim to address puffiness and dark circles.
I’ve been using the exfoliant for a couple years now but I ended up ruining my skin barrier since I was doing it 3 times a week, and then also using adapalene on separate days and Azelic acid everyday. But this combo did work on me for a while and got rid of my acne but I guess I over did it and ruined my skin barrier. So I had to start over since I had to let my skin barrier go back to normal I stopped using the adapalene since it made me purge and I don’t want to go through that again at the moment I’m using the exfoliant once a week and the azelic acid as spot treat treatment when I get new pimples. I want to increase to two days a week on exfoliating, my question is, do I only use the azleic acid when I use the exfoliant or also on days that I don’t use the exfoliant, is it okay to use it everyday?
Overall, it really depends on your skin tolerance, which is very individual. However, you could use your Azelaic Acid daily in the AM and use PC BHA a few times per week in the PM, but you could also use Azelaic Acid in the PM when not using the exfoliant. There are different ways you can use them, but, as I said, it depends on what your skin tolerates best. However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors, or your diet (such as consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance).
I wouldn't mix them because TO Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin serum is water-free. However, you can layer them: use your HA serum first and then apply the other one on top.
Hey Melissa! I've recently bought the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence and Axis Y Dark Spot Serum. I was thinking if I should apply my hyaluronic acid on damp skin like after a few seconds of applying the niacinamide serum since hyaluronic acid works best on damp skin. Will this cause any problem?
No, don't apply Hyaluronic Acid or any other skincare product (except for your cleanser) on damp skin. See here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xNUUUr81rLE.htmlsi=ng4drdw8LhA0wNmv
Which toner do you want to use: The Ordinary Glycolic Acid? Avoid using Glycolic and Lactic Acid in the same routine. Just choose one of them, as both are AHA exfoliating acids. Hi, I want to know which cleanser is better for acne skin: among Cerave Acne Control Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. I have tried Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, and I found the Daily Facial Cleanser better for me. I also tried Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, but it wasn’t good. I just want to know if Cerave Acne Control Cleanser would be better than Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for acne and scars. Also, I need to know if Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser is the same as Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. I also use ordinary nicenamide 10%+zinc 1% serum and it’s the best. Also is it okay to use Kiehl’s ultra facial cream and Garnier 50+ sunscreen with my cleanser and serum. Sorry for my long text Thank you !
Yes, Cetaphil's Daily Facial cleanser is great! Yes, you can use all these products in combination. However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors, or your diet (such as consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance). Hi Melissa ! I use the ordinary azelaic acid first and then apply the physio gel calming ai moisturizer, however my skin starts tingling after applying the moisturizer and lasts a few mins. Without the moisturizer my skin feels normal which is making me very confused
Hey! 😊 Have you tried using your moisturizer first and then following with Azelaic Acid? Since you're using a gel, it's best to apply them in that order. Also, make sure to wait about 2 minutes between applications for the product to absorb into the skin. However, does the moisturizer alone tingle on your skin, or only when combined with Azelaic Acid? Do you feel the need to use one at all? If not, it's fine to skip it! Here is an updated video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oRYp_RzqOXk.htmlsi=t8Q5lqorSxir0Psx
If i have years extreme suntan on my face ...my face literally looks 2 to 3 shades darker than my body, so should i use vitamin c or alpha arbutin from the ordinary brand to remove suntan ,to get my actual skintone??😢 and should i keep using that even after i have removed my tan?
Hi Melissa! I have oily skin and I’ve been trying to get rid of my acne for months but nothing is working. This is my current routine: Morning: Cerave Salicylic acid cleanser Rose water for toner aveeno moisturizer with 30 spf Night: Cerave salicylic acid cleanser Rosewater for toner Tretinoin 0.5% Neutrogena water gel moisturizer I heard that salicylic acid and tretinoin are a bad combo because they cancel each other out, but also maybe the rosewater toner is drying out my face. What do you recommend??
Hey! :) Overall, your routine looks good. The reason why you shouldn't combine Salicylic Acid and Tretinoin in the same routine is because it can lead to dryness and irritation-especially if you are doing this combo too often based on what your skin can tolerate. As for your acne, I recommend investigating the root causes such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors, or your diet (such as consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance). I'm currently conducting an experiment to determine the root cause of my acne. So far, changing my diet and reducing stress has helped me a lot! Ah, I see. That makes a lot of sense. For my cleanser what do you recommend I use instead? My skin is really oily, especially in the summer, so I was thinking of buying the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser for oily skin, but since Im using tretinoin, I don't want to overstrip my skin. I was thinking of getting the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser but that's for dry skin, so I fear it may not work for me. @@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
Hii, I recently damaged the skin barrier, especially around the corner of my eyes. There seems to be a rough, dry, and slightly darker patch (maybe reddish-brownish) in that area. I'm worried about whether the darkness will disappear once the barrier heals. Do you have any advice or information on this?
Well, I believe that potentially any ingredient your skin is sensitive to could lead to a reaction, thus causing some type of breakout. This means it will be different for each of us, and it is impossible to tell.
Hi Melissa! Hope you are doing great! I am 34y M, with oily and may be sensitive skin. I have been watching your videos and did incorporate niacinamide and alpha arbutin.. loving them both and would like to continue using. I want to target signs of aging especially around my eyes (crows feet and wrinkles) .. should I get Multi peptide + HA or granactive retinoid or both in AM and PM? Could you pls suggest? Cud u also suggest a moisturiser and/or spf + moisturiser for sun protection? 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Being a guy, I am kinda new to skin care and find you as my only source of information.
Hey! 😊 You could use the multi-peptide serum (get the normal one) in the AM and the Granactive Retinoid in the PM - or just use one of them and see how your skin responds the most! Since you have oily skin, I wouldn't use a moisturizer - the serums should provide enough hydration while keeping things lightweight. However, if you really want to use one, The Ordinary NMF + Beta Glucan is a gel-type moisturizer which I like 😊 As for sunscreen, Good Molecules Sheer Mineral SPF is great.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thanks a lot for your response. I have seen in one of your videos to avoid area around eyes while applying granactive retinoid. Does that still hold true? Crows feet and wrinkles are my primary concern for now… so guess Ill start with the normal multi peptide serum ? Thanks a lot for your recommendations :)
@@mohda8644 Yes, because people like to overuse treatments-still, it shouldn't be used on top of your eyelids. Also, the type of Retinoid/Retinol and strength matters as well. For example, you should be fine to use The Ordinary's 2% Granactive Retinoid on the eye contour; however, I wouldn't recommend their 5% formulation or the 0.5% or 1% Retinol formulations for that area. You may also need to adjust the frequency of application when using it on the eye contour, as using it daily may (though it doesn't have to) cause dryness or sensitivity. Yes, you can use their normal Multi-Peptide serum for that area.
Hey! 😊 How's your diet? Do you consume a lot of sugar, processed food (which is usually packed in plastic - which is also a concern), or fast food? How about stress, your sleeping habits, or water/air quality? Such factors can have a huge impact on your health and skin. As for your blackheads, I recommend getting them extracted by a beautician or dermatologist.
I find it very hydrating and lightweight for a gel-it leaves just a very light layer on the skin's surface. However, products like The Ordinary NMF + Beta Glucan, Aloe Vera, or simply a Hyaluronic Acid serum are even lighter and absorb completely into the skin.
