I ramble about roller coasters! Roller coaster history, reviews, and a wide range of topics. Anything revolving around the coaster world, let's talk about it!
I genuinely think this might come out on top as the best dive coaster. No MCBR is huge, and the layout actually looks quite substantial. I, for one, is stoked, and I think it’ll be a hit at the park!
Their park Cedar Point certainly lacks theming, but there are a few outliers like Dr. Diabolical and Medusa Steel Coaster. Sorry I’m joking but I’ll give them a chance lol.
At the press conference, John Krajnak (park president) said that they are working with multiple designers to work on the entrance portal and station, and they said they want to "do this up pretty big". He mentioned audio elements and said he wants to do "as much as we can pull off” in terms of theming. They talked about theming the area between Demon and Rakshasa to demonic creatures. In addition, to open the press conference, there was a 3 minute long 'show' bit where John Krajnak read out the literal backstory for the ride, and there were costumes, props, special effects, 4 other actors... I highly recommend watching some clips from the 11AM press conference for Wrath of Rakshasa - on the video called "Wrath of Rakshasa Press Conference | 2025 Record Breaking Dive Coaster | Six Flags Great America" on Dan the Coaster Man's channel, the timestamp for the storyline/show is 2:47, and him talking about the theming is at 8:07 and 11:15, as well as 15:20 4:23 also Flash: Vertical Velocity is 5 feet taller than rakshasa as well, but it is debatable whether to count that based on the nature of the coaster
I’m very happy with this addition! I think it’s possible this might be my favorite Dive coaster. Glad there’s no midcourse and I hope that the park president stays true to his promise that there will be theming
This is hot. I was anti dive coaster but feel we’re getting the best and one of the most modern B&Ms yet. --. Only those immune to rollercoaster ride Beemers and say they suck. --. Sure id like a more diverse line up but now we already have 7 coasters to ride every visit. Whizzer, AE red side, Maxx, R Bull, Goliath, Batman X Flight and now number 8.-- I wish we got a Vekoma modern/classic looper in demons spot. Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood was such a smooth flashback to Shockwave in the best way. It was a straight up great ride.
4:57 I think the park president said they wanted to make a themed area for both Rakshasa and Demon. So they might move the sign. I'm not sure, though, since a tenth of the sign was still there when I went.
With Great America in Cedar Fair’s hands, I can see a giga coming. Especially since before the merger, six flags was adding massive investments frequently. Due to high attendance.
I'm interested in this coaster (mostly for the theming) but I'm skeptical about change as any other person when it comes to I guess park theming (rip County Fair sign)
@@ZeroCreditsRemaining i want theming ofc, but like it not fitting into the County Fair (plus original Demon Queue gone) is what's getting to me, otherwise I hope this coaster turns out well
Holy shit… the commercial at 1:27… I’ve been looking for that for years now! That thing was EVERYWHERE on Chicago-area T.V. in the Spring of 1992, burning itself into my impressionable brain. This whole video is great, but thanks for uploading it for that bit alone!
@@ChuckE.CheesesIllinois i gotta check the credits for both bc yeah they were pretty disjointed. Part 1 is very different in presentation, you’re right!
This is my first time uploading content that isn't produced by me. It is not monetized, in fact, the record labels that own a lot of the music in this will be earning any ad revenue. Since the Pictorium theater is gone, I think this is fair game. Thanks to my dear friend Thomas (from the channel/vlogs) for bringing over his Screams And Dreams DVDs. They were too good not to share. Part one is floating around on RU-vid already. Enjoy this "lost media" in the best quality available.
If its still the same as it is right now I think the ride could use some more attraction. Don't get me wrong it looks awsome and fun but does everything in that ride have to be all spooky island I mean if they could add a giant spider in that ride why not add some of the villains from the movie? The disco room looks like it have enough room for a scale model of the luna ghost or the teradactal ghost and some of the other rooms could maybe use the monsters from scooby doo 2.
I usually don't like people who sound like they're 22 narrating videos I watch, but you do a pretty good job man, so kudos. Honestly, whenever I see a Sponge Bob picture or meme shown, I think "this seems to young for me", because I missed that as something from MY childhood. I grew up with the original Nicktoons of Rugrats, and Doug. I feel like there was another one but Ahh Real Monsters was after the initial ones, as was Hey Arnold was definitely after 1990. But ya, haha good video man. I really liked this ride when I was younger. Where was your 'homepark'? I honestly always thought Knott's was unique for having one, but as I got older I realized it was actually a common model. It was the 2nd upside roller coaster I had ever ridden with Montezooma's being the first. I just remember the crazy color schemes they made them after they initially were yellow/blue respectively. I think one ended up with green track with purple supports...I think that was Boomerang, but ya, I miss that ride compared to the crappy Coast Rider. I don't get why people like that ride so much, it's slow as hell and the dive isn't that bad at all. I guess from an aesthetic point of view it's pretty cool to look at with the lights, but that's about it. If you went on Deja Vu in 2002/2003, you honestly can't be that young. I was going right after I graduated High School during that time, so you might just sound much younger than you are haha. I'd wager a guess you're like mid 30's given what you said, and you couldn't have ridden this before age 10, so I take back what I said earlier. My bad bro haha. The "time of your life" video you clicked on made me chuckle man, talk about over dramatic lol. Like come on, that was less dramatic when they used that for graduation back in the early 2000's.
Like An Angel remix by Renard. It’s a remix of their own song and the artist is a giant rabbit hole. You can find it on RU-vid and Bandcamp, a lot of her music is free. You ever heard of the “penis music” song meme? Same person. Lol
I admit your video is great with the mix of comedy and history added. Rolling Thunder i definitely remember riding it and i actually try to go to the park alot but you might be right about the cheasy names for rides
I got my first ride on this thing as a bliss ride. Started raining as soon as we loaded and half way through the rain stopped and the sun shined hard. It was great
Only got to ride it once it was a miracle if you even got to see it running but I definitely remember rumors surrounding why everyone though it was broken all the time lol I think my favorite rumor was it kept getting struck by lightning during bad weather and would fry some special parts they had to get custom made over seas lol it still seems like no one has the answers 😂
Boy really did the homework. Even mentioned Mirabilândia, I didn't expect that. I've been furious for more than a decade waiting to ride the GIB but Mirabilândia keeps delaying the process of moving
Now, what about Demon Drop at Dorney Park? Is it a credit or not? It has a lift system, a main drop, a brake run, and runs on track (for the majority of the ride).
I count relocations to a new permanent installation as new credits. However, Six Flags ride relocation coasters don’t count because the intent was not for them to be permanent. New trains don’t count, unless it’s Arrow stand up trains hehe. A permanent relocation is like a coaster’s second life that wasn’t initially planned. The Beast possibly being extended by 3,000 FT poses problems.
