The sad part of this is one artist from a subgenre got an entire genre of music banned from shows at Six Flags. How many bands are not remotely in this category that could never play at these parks due to this incident. Lots of Classic Hair Metal bands are perhaps the worst off because they are closer to rock than modern Metal subgenre. Basically, I think that Six Flags made the wrong decision, even if it was understandable at the time. Punish the artist, not every other artist that doesn't do this bullshit. I'm not a metalhead, but having played in a rock band and met several artists in the metal scene, I can definitely say that every one I've met has been awesome, standup people, who make sure they put out good material, and keep their fans safe at shows. You see it all the time with artists stopping songs if they see a fan in trouble, or calling out bad actors in the audience. These guys should not be punished for the actions of one individual. I don't know about the internal politics of the metalcore community at that time, but I would not be surprised if there was universal condemnation of Ronnie's actions. I know in the music scenes I am involved in, disregarding your fans and putting them in danger will basically end your music career.
0:50 There is a park actually that has Heavy Metal bands, Grouna Lund in Sweden! They have had a lot of great bands including the All-Mighty SLAYERRRRR!!!!!
Fam, imagine like, Black Metal Night at Six Flags. Imagine being in line for one of their billion versions of Goliath and Cannibal Corpse or something is playing a set next door. Hell not even that. Imagine SOAD at Six Flags. Imagine GHOST at Six Flags. Something tells me Little Jimmy's mom isn't bringing his church group to the theme park anymore.
Thank you! I’d love to do one, I’ve only been on the fence because I rated the coaster higher when it was racing. The review aspect of that series has been complicated for coasters that I’m sentimental over and coasters that don’t run as well as they used to. With or without the review portion, I’d like to make a history video on it.
first, nice video, i cudnt find this info elsewhere. some laughs too, dunno why not more views. 2ndly, i dont personally like falling in reverse, jus not my type of music but u gotta remember, that ronnie guy, he probably wudnt be making music or be popular with his fans if he wasnt like this. imo it kinda goes hand in hand with being an artist. hes got a lot to say, and he has music as an outlet, and im sure his fans are thankful of that at least. still funnny that six flags hosted this tho lol
@@ZeroCreditsRemaining must admit though. I listen/ used to listen to most of the bands. Still cherish my Texas In July drum stick signed by their drum god
Holy shit this video blew my freakin mind. falling in reverse was certainly never a band i considered an all time favorite and i haven't listened to them in at least 6 years at this point but outside of the story where the singer was running from the law i hadn't heard of any of this and it just makes me think how strange it is that THIS band is the only one I've ever gone to seen at a concert. Now i know what it felt like to be as blatantly oblivious about falling in reverse as six flags lmao. Learning about this was certainly entertaining!
I know this video is old but this wasn’t the last metal festival at that same Six Flags rRan by the same promoter I live in the area I went to both of them the other festival was called skate and surf that year they had at six flags a day to remember played sworn in Bear tooth emmure
The real reason that six flags banned metal music is because the name of the band is falling in reverse, and they thought it was too similar to superman the ride, which falls in reverse. jkjk lol
I don't Ronnie's an awful person. Has he done and said shitty things? Of course haven't we all? He always talks about how he tries to be a better person, specially because he now has a daughter, and he definitely regrets a lot of his pass. And to be completely honest, he probably forgets 90% of the tweets he makes lmao Also Falling In Reverse's guitsr player Derrick died recently, I'm sure you saw that in your research, and I understand it's not completely related but I wouldve loved to at least see something in the video mentioning it out of respect
I didn’t mention Derrick because I don’t know a single thing about him, but it’s sad regardless. May he rest in peace. As for Ronnie, I didn’t drag him too hard, but I am very passionate about trans rights and his comments highlighted in this video are just a fragment of his history with transphobia. I just hope he changes his approach on trans issues because it’s a serious matter. Thanks for watching!
He’s not a good person because he made a comment about not getting on the trans hype train? I appreciate the fact that he didn’t bend the knee and take it down. It’s time to cancel cancel culture.
