Thanks, I'm going out to start my 1070 and see how fast the pressure builds I had the pump off about 5 months ago, and the pressure is barely in the green. I think I put the o ring on the pump first also.
@@bobinnm3786 It's a good thing to re check! If your pressures are still too low to the PTO after going through everything you can shim the regulator spring in the PTO valve. Hope everything goes well for you!
@@TheHooptyHaybalers Thanks. This tractor sat in a field for about 15 years. I bought it 2 years ago and put new front tires, batteries, batt cables and fuel. I got it started, drove it 5 miles home, no brakes, no high range..... Has new brakes now, high range was a shifter linkage adjustment. It has a huge amount of blowby, so also planning a piston/sleve job also. This is my second agriking. First was a 970.
@@bobinnm3786 Sounds like it's on its way to being a good tractor for you! We went through the same thing with ours when we got it, no brakes, but we had high range. She just wouldn't rev all the way up so it was still a 4 hour drive home. Glad you saved one from going to the junkyard!
WOW! Thanks for making the video. I have a 1978 1070 and my hydraulics are horribly slow. I'm pretty certain it is the pickup screen clogged. Also my PTO brake isn't working. I am going to pull mine apart, clean out all the 46 years of garbage in the bottom of the case and replace/clean screen. I have gone thru the books and ordered parts and planning on doing this next month. This video really helps. It is nice to see it done once before you start.
@@bobinnm3786 Glad it's helping somebody! Not a bad idea to replace the internal O ring on the PTO shaft, I replaced the seal on mine but did not know about the o ring until after I re- assembled and I've heard the housing has to come back off to replace it!
Great video. 👍🏻 Have you replaced the wheel bearings on that before? Or no? Im wondering about the orientation of that main nut on the wheel shaft. Small end(less taper?l towards the wheel or no.
If I recall its more of a greaseable bushing. I do have some footage of me going through the wheels, I will try to get it edited and uploaded. That nut has three positions, and there are metal shims to get an "in between" amount of clearance. I just installed mine so they were tight, but not so tight that they created drag. I have not had a problem. Thanks for the comment!
@@TheHooptyHaybalers I'm talking about the big nut on the shaft the wheel rids on. It backs up(adjacent) to the driveshaft you replaced the u-joints on. I am wondering if you recall the correct orientation/installation of that nut. I recently did my left side hub. I put the smaller portion of nut towards the wheel bearing. Being a bearing with a rubber seal, this made more sense. To use the nut to push onto the inner part of the wheel bearing, instead of the rubber seal. I might be incorrect on the matter.
@@imagoodlistener2730 Ah ok I misunderstood, I have not replaced those bearings, but I can take a look at it tonight and let you know how mine is installed. From how you describe it, that's how I would assume it goes but I will double check.
Thanks for the video. Pto just went out on our 1070 . Just wouldn't hold a load with our disc mower.. gonna have to tear into when done with hay. Hope our other tractors carry on for this cutting
Make sure to check your line pressure to the clutch pack too, that was part of the reason I had to do this one twice! I hope your other equipment holds on too!
Local parts store, measure cap diameter and outside lock up (cap to cap while pushed together) and they should be able to match up the size. John deere has them too but the catalog lookup only shows the "PTO" drive shaft not the ground drive shaft.
@TheHooptyHaybalers I want to thank you so very much for sharing your recipe. We are truly enjoying it! So much that I made a video. Thank you so much for inviting us into your home and making Dandelion Jelly for us! 💛 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L_KLQOoNoMM.htmlsi=q5DTyOcb3fZIn7yo
Have you ever made freezer jam? I make strawberry and raspberry freezer jams with sure Jell for lower sugar recipes. I think it is so much fresher tasting than cooked jam.
Hi Cynthia!! We haven't in a long time, but maybe we'll have to try a small batch! We typically try to utilize freezer space for the meat we produce, but how much space could a couple of containers really take up, right?! Thank you so much for the suggestion 🥰
The part where the deck board is giving you a hard time, makes me chuckle. 🤭 Thank you for including that and showing us perfectionists that not everything goes to plan all the time!!
USDA recommends using bottled lemon juice as fresh lemon has varying acidity. Glad you mentioned you should use bottled lemon juice and the fresh lemon was just for the zest
I have footage that I need to edit, as of right now the housing is all put back together. That will be the next video, but I will not be installing it quite yet as I have a leak above it I need to take care of. I will try to get to it tonight! Thank you for your patience.
Everything looked yummy, you’re a great cook! For the scalloped potatoes, I have started boiling my sliced potatoes for a few minutes to soften them before I prepare the dish, which saves a lot of time in the oven. When I make cheesecake, I add some finely chopped pecans, a touch of cinnamon and use half Ritz crackers and half graham crackers. It really adds a lot of flavor to the crust. Yours turned out looking beautiful! I found the music too loud to hear you some of the time, and the scratchy intermittent sound was very distracting. I don’t know if it was part of the music or what, but it was distracting. I wanted to hear you more than I could. You really outdid yourself with all the cooking! Whew! I don’t have the energy for all that anymore.
Thank you so much for your feed back Cynthia! We will make note on the music and try to do better on that next time! ❤️ The intermittent "scratchy" noise drives me bananas too - I did my best to bring it down but over talking pieces I couldn't - this is a new to us lens which has better filming and low light capabilities but the noise alone makes me think we should revert back to our old lens. We're working on figuring this out yet! Thank you so much for tuning in - we hope to "see you" and hear from you in the future! 🥰
Thank you! Be sure to check your local butcher 🙂 ours on occasion has fresh rabbit! We highly suggest you try it! We've been loving it! Thanks so much for tuning in!
So glad you gave them a try! The sourdough recipe is our favorite!! We hope they were as delicious as they smelled and thank you for joining us in the kitchen! 😊
There is a blog called '' Farmhouse on Boon '' Everything she bakes is sour dough. Watch her make bread; amazing. She has 8 kids and watching her makes me tired. She made sour dough waffles the other day and I wanted to jump through this screen and steal it from her child
I also tune into her podcast - it's great to listen to while trying to get stuff done around the house! We've not yet tried sourdough waffles - we may just need to try her recipe! 😊 Thank you for tuning in!
I'm not 100% sure where they came from - to be honest! They are Temptations in Floral Lace, we were gifted a set (bread pans, measuring cups, bowls, serving platters etc) shortly after we were married - and I do LOVE them! I think of the wonderful person that gifted them to us every time I use them, but I do not know exactly where to buy them.
There’s something so therapeutic about watching those slices of bacon fall from the slicer.😊 I just got a Food Saver for Christmas…. I absolutely loved it. Tfs. Have a wonderful day.🤗
We thought the same thing! ❤️ We hope you continue to love your Food Saver! It's something we put off buying far too long - and now we're "why didn't we do this sooner?!" Thank you for joining us, we hope you tune in again in the future! 😊
This video was suggested in my feed. I liked your bread baking and you have a nice voice for video making. Are you from the Midwest maybe? Your bread pans are very pretty and I love your cow tea towel!
It is a bread flour - King Arthur Special Patent to be specific 😊 But All Purpose will work as well, that's what I was using before finding the Special Patent. Thank you so much for tuning in and we do hope you try the recipe!
@@TheHooptyHaybalers ok. Thank you for your reply. I definitely plan on making this recipe. I subscribed to your channel. I can’t wait to see what other content you have.❤️😊
1 C. of flour is equal to 125 g. so 3 1/3 C. should be 416-417g. of flour? I've not tried the recipe using grams, but we do hope you give it a try! Thank you so much for tuning in! 😊
Just finished this bake. Can’t wait to try it. Did a hand mix. Only thing was different was the 3 tablespoons of olive oil was less grams. I did 3 tablespoons and then a tablespoon of unsalted butter. What could that hurt? Beautiful loaf. It’s had to wait for it to cool down.
Thank you so much! As Dianna said they are indeed Temptations by Tara, in "Floral Lace" they have bread pans and 8x8 pans and serving trays and casserole dishes - oh my!! Cute and functional!
