Always a joy to watch you paint. Forgive a very basic question, do you always use watercolour paper? It really surprised me, especially as you didn't gesso it. Or was it just as it was a practice piece? Love your use black, teachers always have told me it deadens a picture, but you have proved them all wrong, it works big time!
Hi Kathy! Thanks so much! I don't usually use watercolor paper (I prefer Bristol paper), but I have a pad that I want to use up. I cut it up into small 6x6" pieces for these exercises. And, I didn't gesso because I'm just playing and having fun!

I love this idea but its harder than it looks. I'll have to try it again! I love the yellow ochre and torquoise colors as i use those all the time but still couldn't do it in 10 mins. i felt like i was taking an exam and froze 😆
