Hi! My name is Rudy and I demo guitar gear. I also like to record some guitar loops once in a while, sometimes I even throw in a synth :). If you make or sell a pedal or plugin you would like me to check out, don't hesitate to contact me.
It is very dynamically sensitive and easy to use. I had the AC Tone also I think it’s somewhere in my car 🤔 I ran a Walrus EB-10 into the American sound and it reacted like an amp, tube sag and such, sounded great. Joyo stuff seems durable/reliable, but what do I know
When recording you can go directly out to your audio interface (maybe add an IR loader after the Joyo and before the interface). Live you would go from the Joyo (and IR loader if you'd like) into a DI box and to the mixer.
Idk if this sounds better than the mod factory pro, but this demo sounds better than the mfpro videos. I own the pro and there's plenty of great sounds and hybrid sounds but I wish the combination possibilities were different. Five of the combos I wanted aren't a possibility because they're on the same side
After the actual tone of the reverb effect, and low noise characteristics, the next most important function (to me) is having pre-delay. It separates the hazy, wavy effect from the original note (the same as with natural reverberation). This helps keep the reverb from just being a tail of the original sound hanging off the note. And you can adjust how much of that separation to do or don't want. Most reverbs don't offer this feature. Nice that this one does.
Looking at this to do a MXR Blue Box style tone, Any thoughts? Sounds like it gives that analog feel. Not to worried about tracking as I have micro POG.
@@theoheha I think it was a 1Spot adapter. Unfortunately my outlets are not grounded. This creates more noise. Also sitting close to a computer. The 1Spot I also use for my pedalboard. It's very good and doesn't cost too much.
I have a Hayden Dig Reverb, with 9 effects.. but this one sounds fantastic! I believe the foot switch is a soft one and not the one that makes a click sound. (BTW, the Hayden makes a loud 'thud" sound that can be heard even through the amp. Makes it unusable in a concert setting).
I was sold at 1.33...I saw Cascade for the first time this morning on a Harmony Bloom video by YTuber - Waveform - he was using it for ambient, fast forward 12 hours and 30 videos later here I am and eh, 1.33, boom....I'll snag this very shortly, but first some cake! ;D
Man, I am just sitting here listening. I could listen to your playing for hours while I shop for guitar tools and parts! New subscriber and now Donlis fan. I just put some in my cart.
Thanks, Rudy. Great demo. I can see this replacing my amp at times in my studio and live. Also would be great to just have it along as an amp backup. I'm sold. Lol
Hey Rudy! Fantastic sound and pkaying! If i was to plug direct into desk/pa with this would i need a specific cable or would a standard inst cable do the trick?
Hi! Thanks 🙏. Usually you would plug into a DI box. Especially when it's a longer cable run to the desk (front of house). But at home you could just plug straight into a mixer, no problem.
I don’t have much history with pedals but would this go great with songs like, aventura - mi coranzoncito ? That genre involves reverb and delay and chorus
You can use the cab sim from this pedal. But also you can switch off the cab sim if you want to use the speaker of a real amp. There's no need to use a separate cab sim pedal if you don't want to 👍
@@danielmahathir8102 between this preamp pedal + cab sim and a real amp you mean? In that case I would still prefer the real amp for the best sound. The pedal is much easier to carry however 😁
Best demo by far! I was planning on using it with the American. I like how the American is a Fender in a box and you can get some really good tones with the Voice knob. I want something that is similar to a Nobles. Good playing.
Thanks! The Dolamo and American Sound work well together. Then again the Nobels isn't super expensive. Might be a good option to have in the toolbox as well.
