I've been on the fence about this pedal ever since it got features on JHS Pedals, and I wanted to hear a good demo. I think my mind is set now... P.S. So glad my man just made a demo and didn't talk. Much appreciated.
Was a fun JHS episode, I saw it too. This is a very good clone, even though it's maybe a little darker sounding. The turbo setting sounds great too. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for making these...so glad guitar pedals have become so affordable these days. Even if they aren't the EXACT sound of the pedals they're copies of, they still sounds damn good!!
Thanks! Yeah, that's exactly it. You can get good sounding pedals for very little money. A great time to be a guitar player, it used to be a lot more expensive haha.
Yeah the highs can get a little over the top if you don't dial it back. Personally I like a bit of threble, but there can be too much of a good thing :).
What a beast - uhm - RAT :D I got its sibling from ENO and wanted to send it right back, until I figured out that the filter knob there has to be dialled clockwise to tame the pedal.... Still a harsh one, maybe will use it for some edgy volume swells. I think a Tubescreamer is my limit when it comes to high gain :P
Yeah for me it's also a little heavier than I'm used to ;). But I do like it so far, I'll keep it around I think. The filter on the original RAT also worked like that, kind of confusing the first time you use it. Mostly I'm an overdrive player too, but I throw in the occasional fuzz or distortion just to shake things up a bit. But def not for every sound all the time though :D.
