Sei simpatico 🙂 Il poop pad è utile.
How do you define what should be placed in areas vs resources? I’m struggling with it since I’ve started to working with PARA method. Almost all of my “resources” are matched in a some way with some “area” folder, so for me it often leads us to an overcomplicated structure. What’s your opinion?
The way I categorize them is as follows: any actionable information like how to invest your money goes into the Resources’ section. On the other hand, non-actionable information, such as a list of books on financial freedom goes into the Area section. However, if I read one of those books and find useful information, that actionable content will then be moved to the Resources section. I hope is more clear know!
I’m in the same boat! Been trying for years, still experimenting, but it’s getting old. Two apps I use everyday are: Goodnotes (handwriting notes while watching RU-vid, daily strength training log, daily time block, etc.) and Reader/Readwise. If I could figure out a way to tie all this together in one system, I’d be a happy guy hahah, grazie mille!!!
Todoist is the app which i am using for almost 3 year now. It's an essential app for me in all my devices , its integration with calendar is awesome makes it easier to schedule tasks ( in both ways) I use notion for note taking or my default notes app (in samsung). Both works fine. It get my things done. ALWAYS REMEMBER COMPLEX SYSTEMS ARE OVERWHELMING AND EVENTUALLY WE STOP USING THEM.
Koss Porta Pro (black edition which I don't think you can find one amazon), with orange Yaxi Pads! Here's the link (affiliate link): Headphones amzn.to/3BAq0gU Yaxi Pads amzn.to/4eVDaUi
One thing I don't understand about the PARA method is that it's useful and clear for organizing project folders, but mostly I need to archive documents, bills, medical reports, tax payments, photos... Where am I supposed to organize these things? Should they all go in the Archive folder? It feels like I’m just moving my mess to a different place. How do you archive this kind of stuff?
Personally, I keep them in the Area section. In the Archive I only put things I’m unsure whether I can delete but will likely not need. Bills, taxes, etc., even though you don’t need them frequently, are definitely things you’ll need to keep
Great video! I use the same method: a calendar for time-specific tasks, and a to-do list for general tasks. For notes, I use Apple Notes, but for resource management, I recommend Obsidian as a Second Brain. It's a step above Apple Notes for this purpose, allowing you to create connections between notes, visualize them, and assign tags.
Great video! You’ve captured almost my entire workflow, even though I use different apps. It’s cool to see others organizing their lives like this too!
Agreed...keep it simple... I am recently retired (2 years now) and find that can be very cluttered with house projects, garden stuff, social stuff, planning frequent travel, etc. I think back at my work life with, of course, its own complexity with projects/live meetings, producing reports, etc. AND how all the Office tools (e.g. Teams) and other organizational programs seemed so complex. Now purely using my MacBook Air/Watch/iPad/iCloud, I use basic tools that you mentioned and it is all very manageable. I suppose Google tools would work too. Thanks for reviewing the importance and effectiveness keeping it simple.
Great video! Changing my route constantly is crucial for me to be motivated to run. I get many of my top of the line shoes/gear on the Runners Warehouse clearance section for CHEAP. And while road 5ks are many of us start, i really recommend trying EVERYTHING. Roads, paths, trails, long and short, relays and obstacles and whatever else you can find. I was a 5k on the roads girl... now I'm a 50k+ on the trails woman, something i never thought my body could do, but I'm LOVING it!
Thanks 😊 I use the apple watch SE 1st gen (i have the link in the description of the video). It still works great, didn't feel the need to upgrade (I will for sure when this one will die). You need to charge it everyday, but it's ok. I bought a cheap wireless charging station and thanks to ease of use I never ran out of battery
