Thank you so very much for suggesting and showing size 10 can use for this recipe I am 76 years old and needed a cost suggestion thank you so so very much blessings
Ms. Jessica, I was just looking at your Amazon storefront, under canning essentials. All of the links are saying that they "are having trouble" and none of which are clickable. Just wanted to let you know. Loved you video. God Bless you and your family.
Thank you! I grow my garlic it lasts almost a year fresh. When it draws close to the next harvest, pickling the previous years older garlic will be a great option. Up till now I've frozen it which works great, but I have limited space in my freezer and would love to free up space by canning garlic instead.
I will most certainly give this one a go. Today, however, I am canning homemade corned beef hash and Italian sausage links. Wonderful video again. God Bless and keep you and your family.
lovely, I last canned beer mustard aka Oktoberfest Mustard (from the Ball canning books). I'm also a youtuber and find your video to be fun and interesting. One thing I'd suggest to you is to put the recipe in your description...approx one bazillion people will ask you for it because they don't want to have to work and write it down for themselves.... the more popular you get the more often you'll be asked for it. If you do chose to put it in the description please add a note if it's an approved recipe (e.g. Ball or NCFHFP) or not..that way it's in print. I generally stick to the rules, but like you I do veer off from time to time if it makes sense to me
@@saltandlightcanning4061 thank you for responding so quickly. I love your canning recipes. I plan to make the pickles, carrots and the bbq sauce 🤔 I think it was BBQ. Who am I kidding I plan to preserve everything you have posted 😂
I don’t have those big containers that you’re putting your jars in. Can I use an electric canner ? but what do I set my court jars on and the paint jars if they make pints?
@@karenosche5348 I have never used an electric canner before, so I don't know. You could make quarts or pints. It's all your preference. I tend to like pints for soup. You will have to read the manual for your canner to see what it can do. Be so blessed.
I just found you! I’m a canner for several years now, but I can still learn and I love to watch channels about canning and I love that you share your love for the lord
👍 Great video. Thank you! Haven't canned anything this month. Been dealing with a back issue. I've been itching to get back to it. Salsa is on my list, plus an enchilada sauce. I'll need to take an inventory as I've been relying heavily on my canned items this month. Such a blessing to pull a jar or two and have dinner.
You get a lot of people who don’t know wth they’re doing going off on you, but I always agree with you, people can be so hard headed about “homemade” which is like “uhh you dumped boxes and shredded bars of soap meant to be rubbed on stains, you didn’t create some amazing new “detergent!” Don’t stop what you’re doing, maybe one day people will understand bars of soap aren’t detergent and don’t go into a machine!!🤦♀️
@@laffytaffy2916 They rely on each other for “expert” advice, which is based mostly on wishful thinking. They’re not good at stepping back and critically evaluating what they’re doing. They believe what they’ve posted is inherently helpful and take offense when challenged. Human nature.
I LOVE Ariel, especially the one with the oxy, WM is always out and only has the bag with downy, so since I have Walmart plus, I get free deliveries of it shipped to me in a single day! I see a ton of people using foca, but it has pretty bad reviews on the website that rates environmental detergents. I don’t add zote or fels naphtha anymore since everything I add is already a detergent and I don’t wanna take the risk of soap scum ruining my machine or pipes. I don’t add the scented beads everyone seems too because they do smell good but the chemicals in them are horrible, and putting them in with the powder and storing them they lose their scent, you’re supposed to put them into the machine when you put clothes in, it drives me crazy to see people adding 2-3 bottles of them into the powder and wonder why they stopped working and mention they had to go buy more to add later🤦♀️
This is my favorite recipe for laundry soap. I never thought I would be able to get the smell out of my boys clothes, but this does, and I spent 1/10 of what I used to in a year. So happy.
@@saltandlightcanning4061 I do admit boys can get some funky mystery stains, my twins are just barely toddlers and since the week we brought them home, I’d change their socks and be like “No way, these stink a tiny bit, do they already have their daddy’s stank foot problem?”😂 But I only use dreft for their things, it’s expensive but we noticed one of the boys have a rash bad random once, so we aren’t taking any chances!! But they just started walking, and they’re teething, drooling like crazy lol mystery stains, I’m always trying to identify “what did you eat to drool that color?” It’s usually vegetables! They just recently got off the boob and are trying new things! So I’m doing about a load per day!
@@saltandlightcanning4061 Obviously it doesn’t work. It’s nothing but residue, chalk. It can’t dissolve grease gas oil because it contains no surfactants. It’s a prank recipe…yet it keeps showing up.
Lady, are you crazy? WS + ES 5:11 react instantly to precipitate magnesium carbonate, chalk. This is a complete waste of time and money. It’s a prank and you fell for it! Makes you look like a fool!
I canned mushrooms in 4oz jars. I sliced them and cooked them. Then I added an onion soup packet to some beef broth and use that for the liquid and pressure canned them. I like to sauté them with onions and eat with steak or chicken or add them to my pizza
@@saltandlightcanning4061 yes, that's what i thought.. I saw someone do nuggets with the meat. i just wondered if you had any secret recipe chicken wisdom :)
I don't boil my brine. I only heat it enough to dissolve the salt and sugar, then I turn the heat off and let it cool. This helps me have crispy pickles.
