This is the official youtube channel for 10,000 Maniacs. We are looking forward, with fingers crossed, to a robust 2022 touring season celebrating our 40th Anniversary! We've been writing and recording during our pandemic down time and will have new material sometime this year. Stay safe and 10,000 Thanks for your continued support.
Every cover! How many are there? Thanks for the complement and we would agree that Sandy's version is at least 80% better than our version. We play it because we love the song.
@@10KMTV There are a lot. Thank you for replying - I was a bit drunk when I wrote that, but meant it, when saying this is the best of the cover versions.

Wow! My first time seeing the band with Mary! I have to say I’m totally impressed!! She sounds great! I’m hoping to make the 2024 show in Three Oaks Michigan! Last time I saw the band live was around 1995 in Rochester MI! God i feel old! But I was very young then. Just out of high school.
If you saw us in 1995, Mary was singing. She's bee working with us on tour or in the studio since 1991. She became our lead singer in 1994. The Acorn is a fun venue. It's small as well, so get your tickets now! We were all young(er) in 1995 as well.
@@10KMTVI did have an old VHS recording of Natalie in concert around 38 years ago, this was one of the songs on the tape. Sadly I lost it. I’ve not heard Natalie’s version since.
after reading Mary was leaving , I really spent the last 2 weeks to watch lot of videos and this is probably the one which resume perfectly how good she was in the place. She is naturally never been the show girl Nathalie was born to be, but Mary voice is really super nice , and in fact in a band spirit, I love that the singer does not take all the spotlight just for her , and Mary was a good balance about. And gosh I dont know her , but Mary seems to be a proper sweet smily type of person , what's not to like about her really? Also, her violin really added something , and the violin intro in this song particularly , really plant an atmosphere to start , and this I really a very good video about what her violin play could bring . I wish the best to the the new members , but I will really miss Mary .
I saw 10,000 Maniacs this past Sunday at the legendary Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank,NJ. This was their third performance with new band members singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum. Ms. Nash and Mr. Slocum were superb and are wonderful additions to this truly magnificent band. Dennis Drew said that they’re working on a new album that should be out in the next several months. That’s great news for the many 10,000 Maniac fans throughout the world.
Top version of this wonderful song. Mary was the perfect replacement for Natalie. Saw them live with Mary in London in 2000, I was expecting to be slightly disappointed without the original line up, but needn't have been, was totally blown away by this fantastic band.
