I saw 10,000 Maniacs this past Sunday at the legendary Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank,NJ. This was their third performance with new band members singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum. Ms. Nash and Mr. Slocum were superb and are wonderful additions to this truly magnificent band. Dennis Drew said that they’re working on a new album that should be out in the next several months. That’s great news for the many 10,000 Maniac fans throughout the world.
Please come to Detroit or even better to Canada! Southern Ontario more specifically. I love your history and the desire to keep surprising us with great music! Have been playing your music for years and never tire of it. My deepest admiration!
Thanks, Frank. Go to our web page www.maniacs.com and click on the Twice Told Tales button to hear new music. We play where we are invited buy a promoter.
I saw 10,000 maniacs perform at the Harvester Performance center in Rocky Mount, Virginia. They were awesome !!! Afterwards I got to meet a few members of the band. They were cool and Mary was sweet and oh so beautiful. She is a very classy lady. Keep up the great work guys. I've been listening to you since 88. Hope to see you again soon.😀
I agree. Met John after one of their shows. Had long talk with him about home recording studios. Although his height surprised me, he was very a very nice, ordinary-guy type man. Concert was great. Was in '97..
So I am just recently opening my ears to 10,000 Maniacs but have heard you from way back. I am so very pleased to hear a new record form this great band. Great vid and lovely tune.
Thanks, Duane. You can get the album Music From The Motion Picture at the usual on line places. Physical copies of the CD or LP are available at on-line outlets of from us. We are at the moment working on an album of English traditional songs with our former guitarist, John Lombardo. We also will begin working on another album of new material in the fall.
